Nick’s Diner
Breakfast Served All Day Richie Borici, has been the owner and chef of Nick’s Diner in Surprise for the last four years. They are known for their Greek, Italian and American cuisine. He purchased the diner from his cousin who started the business 9 years ago. Richie began cooking in his early 20s at a pizza place and has been in the restaurant industry since. He also taught himself to cook many traditional Greek dishes and learned American foods later when he moved to the United States. Richie’s favorite meal to create, a Greek specialty, is the Lamb Shank, which is lamb braised and served with mixed vegetables, rice and marinara sauce. His favorite dish to eat is Chicken Alfredo—although he says they are all delicious. A customer eating at Nick’s Diner said, “The food was great.” Customers argue about their favorite items on the menu. Some love the burgers and fries, while others insist the Gyros and wraps, or Nick’s Greek salad is the best. The family-owned restaurant serves breakfast all day. Richie says everyone likes everything—Nick’s Diner has a dinner special every night.
