1. Arizona grows enough cotton each year to make more than one pair of jeans for every person in the United States. 2. Famous labor leader and activist Cesar Chavez was born in Yuma. 3. In 1912, President William Howard Taft was ready to make Arizona a state on February 12, but it was Lincoln’s birthday. When England’s famous London Bridge was replaced in the 1960s, the original was purchased, dismantled, shipped stone by stone and reconstructed in Lake Havasu City, Arizona, where it still stands today. 5. Mount Lemmon, Tucson, in the Santa Catalina Mountains, is the southernmost ski resort in the United States. 6. Hear out what they have to say about the situation and then act accordingly instead of impatiently making a decision. 4 Take some time alone. Let yourself and your partner have some quality time dedicated to themselves, so that the stress levels of both are reduced. 5 When there is a difficult situation at hand, work it out with calmness and tolerance towards the matter. This will produce an effective solution to the problem. Studies show people who are patient towards their married life tend to have better mental health as compared to those who act out in frustration.

Services for senior veterans have been expanded, including home-based primary care, veteran-directed care and medical foster homes. The plan is to make these services— 75 home-based primary care teams, 58 medical foster homes and 70 veteran-directed care programs—available at all Department of Veterans Affairs medical centers in the next few years. The purpose of these programs is to allow senior veterans to either delay going into a nursing home and select the care environment that they prefer, or to age in place at home. What they’ve discovered is that veterans who use these services have fewer trips to the emergency room, fewer hospital admissions and fewer stays in nursing homes. Medical foster homes are what you’d imagine: private homes where there is a trained caregiver 24/7. While living at one of these homes, the veteran receives home-based primary care.
