FIND MORE IN LESS

Our lives are filled with so much to do and so little time, making for complications and challenges. What if we could really simplify our lives? Focus on what really matters and let the rest go.

Trust me, it’s not easy–it takes intention and daily practice, but the reward is great enough to make all the effort worthwhile. Take a look at the following list, and use it to start simplifying your life today.

Make a list of your top 4-5 important things. What’s most important to you? What do you value most?

Evaluate your commitments. Look at everything you’ve got going on in your life. Think about which of these really give you value.

Evaluate your time. How do you spend your day? Make a list, and evaluate if the time you spend on tasks is in line with your priorities.

Learn to say, “No.”

Limit your screen time. Purge your stuff.

Create a simplicity statement. What do you want your simple life to look like? Write it out.

Simplify your wardrobe. Is your closet bursting? Simplify your wardrobe by getting rid of anything you don’t wear.

Free up time.

Do what you love. Once you’ve freed up some time, be sure to spend that extra time doing things you love.

Spend time with people you love.

Spend time alone. Alone time is good for you. Take time to be quiet and listen to your inner voice. Be present.

Live frugally. This means buying less and wanting less.

Exercise. Exercise always makes you feel better.

Live deliberately. Learn to pack light.

Leave space in your day. Leave a little space between things you need to do, so you will have room to deal with the unexpected.

Always ask: will this simplify my life? If the answer is no, reconsider.
