The location of ROW DTLA in the Warehouse District is a collection of early 20th-century buildings that formerly functioned as a produce market. Through meticulous restoration and renovation efforts, the original architectural features have been preserved, resulting in a harmonious fusion of old and new elements. The site now exudes an elegant and contemporary atmosphere that appeals to visitors of diverse ranges. The large to enormous concrete walls of the buildings are adorned with floor-to-ceiling glass windows, offering a tantalizing view of the distinctive shops within.

I live & work in DTLA where I run a veteran- and LGBTQ-owned small business. Since being elected, I have led the review of and response to several key issues facing DTLA, including the far-reaching redesign of LA’s building and zoning code DTLA 2040 Community Plan and the Mills Act. I am a strong advocate for the continued preservation of DTLA’s historic buildings, and revitalization of the Historic Broadway Theater District. I champion the needs of DTLA’s art galleries, for the safety of vulnerable populations, disaster preparedness, and the needs of local small businesses. In my first two years, I have volunteered more than 300 hours working with labor unions, community groups, theatre owners, city hall, and others to beautify the heart of Downtown Los Angeles. If these efforts resonate with you, then vote for me. Let’s see what we can accomplish in another two years!

LUIS M. GONZALEZ-SALAS

Hello, My Name Luis M. Gonzalez-Salas. I have worked in the Banking/Financial industry for 18 years, hold a Bachelor’s degree in International Business, and have lived and worked in DTLA for 14 years. I proudly call The Historic Core District my home. I'm running for neighborhood counsel to promote DTLA businesses, not only to our local communities, but also to greater Los Angeles. I am focusing on raising awareness and highlighting local community issues concerning; safety, street maintenance and the quality of life for DTLA residents. Will work to address the community concerns with a more realistic approach, including homelessness issues, promoting small local businesses, encourage more “green area” developments (planting of trees/foliage). Further, I will work to encourage stricter DTLA pet community responsibilities, by increasing accessibility to pet waste bags and stricter enforcement of pooper scooper laws.

We all know that there are apparent issues, we need to actually put in the strength into defending the HC and not standby letting this place continue to be the joke of the Los Angeles area. Actually born In the LA area and lived in DTLA for the better part of a decade now. I love Downtown and definitely want the best for it. Thrilled with the renaissance it was going through; terrible to see its most recent set backs. My family has worked for this city and built this city in past years. My experience is in project planning, advertising and experiential design. I make plans, solve problems, bring people together. My main areas of focus are: Beautification – (greenery, signage, etc), Walkability (cleanliness, pets), HC awareness (bring attention as a tourist location), Reclaiming the metros, Heritage (Refurb the original LA), Livability (work to remove negative attributes), Volunteerism (volunteer and rally to achieve goals). Let's bring the Historic Core back to civility. You care, I care.

Hello, My Name Luis M. Gonzalez-Salas. I have worked in the Banking/Financial industry for 18 years, hold a Bachelor’s degree in International I'm a candidate for Downtown Los Angeles Neighborhood Council, Historic Core. I'm very proud and grateful to live in this amazing part of Downtown Los Angeles, with all its beautiful architecture, grand old Hotels for the elite, old bank's, store fronts and so much more that's been cared for, is still here for all to see, enjoy, explore and take in. My goal is to continue preserving, purifying, improving and most importantly communicating with City Hall on behalf of other members of the community that I'm part of, from business owner's and their customers to my next door neighbor and neighbors. We can all benefit from reduced noise pollution, a safer environment inside both businesses and residencies as well as outside our homes. Improved quality of food at the few remaining local restaurants and record nuisance, disturbiaor other criminal, civil violations and violator's in Historic Core into a digital catalog for further prosecution, conviction and prolific algorithm. Come and vote!
