Letter from CEO While still in its early phases, I had a number of individuals doubt the concept we were seeking to achieve and the novel shopping experience we wanted to introduce in the Jordanian market. Today, I am proud of the levels of success we are witnessing but more so since the company has taken on a regional expansion in Kurdistan and Egypt a little over a year ago. This impressive milestone is attributed to 2 main factors; ďƒ˜Human Resources; they are certainly the company's most important asset. Their unwavering commitment & diligence to overcome continuous challenges over the years has been remarkable. ďƒ˜Customers; their faith & continuous loyalty is remarkable and we are able to grow because of them. I still see this as the mere beginning, I look forward to many more milestones, together with my team & our customers , in Jordan & abroad.
Overview • Established in 2003, THE Group is a private corporation principally engaged in the retail business. • It owns and administers a chain of supermarkets, known as Cozmo, a bookshop named Readers and also operates renowned franchises of British Home Stores and Hamleys Toy Shop. • THE Group brings a unique and innovative style to the consumer’s shopping experience with the aim of surpassing the expectations of customers by offering exceptional customer service and greater value.

Cozmo Supermarket • The supermarket accommodates a vast range of products through a large variety of imported brands such as Bioitalia, Orgran Zanetti and Levoni, and local products such as Al Shami, Siniora and Fine. • To meet the continuously increasing needs of its customers, the supermarket underwent a large expansion process in its primary store in 2007, which brought its overall size to 4,800 sq/m. • The supermarket’s categories include a bakery, butchery, fresh produce section, deli, packaged food, frozen food, natural, organic ,free-allergy and healthy food, liquor store and all other general products needed for everyday use. • Cozmo successfully shifted the industry’s paradigm by introducing an enjoyable and convenient shopping experience that serves the Jordanian west Amman family.
Simply Cozmo • Commenced expansion strategy of Simply Cozmo in Amman in June 2010 • Principal attraction lies in being smaller, gourmet supermarkets that serve the local communities living within the specific areas. • Currently operating 5 Simply Cozmo’s across West Amman along with a 2nd large format store in one of Amman’s prestigious malls known as Taj Lifestyle; this branch spans across 3000m2.
BHS • British Home Stores is made up of affordable clothing and home accessories providing the fundamental items that are required by the whole family. The total area of this outlet covers 2,600 sq/m of space. • This Jordan store ranks the second amongst BHS internationally, in both sales & brand management. • In the 2nd quarter of 2016, BHS will be opening it’s second branch to date in Abdali Mall, the capital’s new downtown.
Hamleys • Hamleys Jordan is the market leader in toys since operating in 2008. In addition to retailing an immense range of the prominent Hamleys branded toys, there are also more than 200 other brands available. • The company strives to constantly provide customers with innovative products, and through demonstrations and role play, a truly magical shopping experience for the entire family. • Spread over three floors, the total size of Hamleys is 1,800 sq/m and is located on Mecca Street – a popular destination in Amman. To date, Hamleys has opened 3 smaller format stores, in Amman which serves the community living closer to that area.

Readers • A highly identifiable bookshop in Jordan, Readers offers customers a particularly well-rounded selection of books, both for children and adults. Offering Arabic and English books, Readers has placed itself at the top of the market in this field. • In December 2012, Readers opened a second location in Taj Mall Abdoun, giving it an important presence in a high footfall site.
