David Have you already received a copy of this? I would like to discuss it with you early next week, I would also like to meet with you and your senior mgrs. PG
Here is the text of the statement passed unanimously by all ITPC and TAG members who were present at today's meeting - a quorum of each group. (Let me know if you have any corrections): The ITPC, supported by the Technology Advisory Group, urge the Chancellor and Administration to clarify the CITO's role. The CITO must adhere to college policies and procedures regarding purchasing and shared governance. Specifically:
The CITO must collaborate with Technology Division staff in all areas, including network security. He must inform staff of his plans and work with them, allowing them to be part of any dialogue with outside vendors. Outside vendors must not direct the actions of CCSF staff members. Before selecting outside vendors or directing TD staff to make changes to network architecture, security infrastructure, or other substantial IT configurations, CITO must bring proposals to ITPC, TAG, and ultimately to CAC, with appropriate justification and action plan. For more pressing matters, CITO is to discuss them with TAG and ITPC Chairs, as well as his own staff and supervisor. This will help ensure that all stakeholders can give input and improve quality.
CCSF strives to maintain a workplace where collegiality and collaboration is valued. We need to bring transparency in order to restore trust.
