B&G launch their New DIY Friendly campaign

In July B&G began a roll out of their DIY Friendly campaign. This new DIY Friendly focus is the culmination of months of planning and hard work at B&G to create a value-add offering to enhance the recent growth in the Irish DIY market. This DIY focus is on point with sales trends within Ireland and will no doubt be a key feature in industry sales strategies in the future. B&G’s strategy is a multi-channel campaign that will engage stakeholders with digital content through updated web and social offerings, along with traditional print and POS platforms. CEO Tom Cleary has spoken about the launch “Looking at the significant shift in Irish consumer behaviour, particularly in the DIY sector, B&G are moving with the current landscape and will help our clients by providing a best-in-class service to their customers, to aid every stage of a person’s DIY journey.” The new initiative will assure customers that B&G products are ‘DIY friendly’ and will provide B&G’s customers with as much relevant information as possible to pass on to their customers. A new DIY Friendly logo will begin to appear across the B&G website, social media, product packaging, and in-store POS. The logo will be accompanied by a QR code linked to a newly developed “DIY Friendly” resource’s page on the B&G website, www.bghome.ie. Brochures, assembly/fitting instructions and how-to videos will be available on the www.bghome.ie resource page and over time B&G plan to develop the site into a comprehensive digital resource. Marketing Manager Michael Maher said “As we have all spent more time in our homes over the last year, we have seen the Irish consumer develop their home space in an increasing number of ways, as office space, as makeshift classrooms, as a gym space, along with a variety of other functional purposes. When we researched how consumers were using our products the DIY Campaign became our primary marketing focus.” B&G’s Marketing Manager Michael Maher and the digital marketing team are reaching out to clients to explain the benefits of the DIY Friendly campaign and to share the digital content and assets that B&G have already developed. With the rise in online sales and the uptake in DIY activity among consumers, this DIY Friendly campaign is landing at the perfect time.
