IF COMPANIES GOT REPORT CARDS, OURS WOULD SAY

“PLAYS WELL WITH OTHERS” There are a lot of commercial builders out there. And, while the path from contract to completion may differ here and there, it’s likely we’re all capable of managing the build or renovation you have in mind. What sets Hayner Hoyt apart is our attention to people. Our people. Your people. And the people you serve. We’re committed to keeping our customers for life and that means we’re focused on providing the best service. We take care of our employees so they take care of you. You’ll notice a difference in our process because we are not focused on our bottom line, we are focused on you! Like our buildings, our relationships are built to last. At the end of the day, we realize it’s not really the building itself that matters, but what comes next; the work that will be done, the lives that will change, and the bonds that will be made behind the walls we knock down and the new ones we expertly set in place.

A

BRIEF HISTORY

In 1966, Richard Hoyt left his family’s custom home construction business to start a light commercial construction company. He met Don Hayner through the Home Builders Association and their friendship gave way to The Hayner Hoyt Corporation—an honest, straight-forward commercial construction company that’s been dedicated to satisfying its customers and giving back to the community for over 54 years. Since its founding, we’ve maintained our “work hard, be kind” culture and grown to build a diverse range of projects in the healthcare,

higher education, entertainment, manufacturing, and retail industries. As a full-service company, we have the focus and efficiency to manage very small maintenance/repair-type projects of only a few thousand dollars while simultaneously offering the expertise and staff resources to manage single projects exceeding $150 million. Because of our transparent business practices and our commitment to building with you (not just for you, there’s a difference), we’re proud to share that 99% of our customers come back and work with us again.

INFICON

Ultra Dairy Expansion owner Ken Carter — Director of Engineering Phone: 315.382.6932 Architect Webber/Smith Group / AE Design Start January 2019 Completion November 2019 We recently completed an expansion of the Ultra Dairy processing and cooling facility. This is the sixth expansion we’ve completed at the facility since we built it in 2004. This included a 28,000 sq ft addition to the refrigerated section growing from 9 to 14 shipping and receiving loading dock doors for cooling packaged product until shipping. We also built a 7,500 sq ft dry dock with two dock doors for storage of new product containers. Lastly, we built a small 2,200 sq ft addition onto the processing facility to house new owner-furnished equipment to meet the increased production requirements of the expansion. Site work included a parking lot expansion which created an additional 123 parking spaces along with more space for shipping and receiving.

Byrne Hollow Farm owner Ken Carter — Director of Engineering Architect MSKTD & Associates Start August 2013 Completion June 2014

Phone: 315.475.2111

Hayner Hoyt served as the construction manager for Byrne Hollow Farm’s yoghurt manufacturing facility. The 75,000 square foot building includes state-of-the-art processing, filling, and packaging equipment, as well as a glass paneled viewing mezzanine to allow visitors to see the entire manufacturing process. To ensure sanitary food processing, vitrified floor tile and insulated metal panels were used in the construction. The facility was completed in just eight months allowing Byrne Hollow to install equipment and meet production milestones for private-label clients and its own Byrne Hollow brand.

St. Alban’s Processing Facility Expansion (In Progress) owner William McPhail – Dairy Farmers of America Architect MSKTD & Associates Start May 2020 Thanks to previous dairy manufacturing work with architect MSKTD & Associates, we were awarded this expansion project with Dairy Farmers of America. We will be building an addition and completing several interior renovations to a facility in St. Alban’s, Vermont.

Fage Water Storage Tank Facility (In Progress) owner Ioannis Ravanis – Executive VP, Manufacturing & Operations Architect Webber/Smith Group Start April 2020

Phone: 1.866.962.5912

We recently broke ground on a new water storage tank facility for Fage in Johnstown, New York. Once foundations are poured, the tank will be installed, and we’ll build the facility around the tank.

INFICON owner Adam Gadway — VP of Operations Phone: 315.434.1100 Architect QPK Design Start September 2014 Completion November 2015 Hayner Hoyt served as Construction Manager for the 70,000 sq ft expansion and renovation for INFICON’s East Syracuse location. The new expansion included offices, warehouse space and both 10K and 100K clean rooms. The clean rooms are used to manufacture particle sensors, thin film sensors and AMS. Renovations included new auxiliary services space and offices. This project required comprehensive Building Information Modeling (BIM) coordination for mechanical systems due to the complexity of highly pressure sensitive HVAC and process gas systems. The Building Management System (BMS) was designed and installed to monitor the very stringent tolerances allowed for room temperature, pressure and humidity within the clean rooms. Hayner Hoyt also coordinated extensive pre-construction site work and environmental studies, as well as finished site work including additional parking lots and a storm water retention system.

Fulton Companies owner Mark Hilton — VP of Manufacturing Phone: 315.298.7158 Architect Macknight Architects and Planners Start August 2010 Completion October 2011 The Fulton Thermal Corporation expansion involved the addition of a 93,000 square foot manufacturing facility and a 20,000 square foot office area to their existing corporate headquarters in Pulaski, NY. The addition to their manufacturing facility allows for the creation of larger capacity products and more complex skid systems. The facility features a one-of-a-kind heating system showcasing many of Fulton’s own products and includes additional office space, a dedicated research and development space, and expanded manufacturing space.

Tessy Plastics owner Mike Adrian — Director of Facilities Phone: 315.689.3924 Architect Schopfer Architects Start March 2014 Completion December 2014 Hayner Hoyt provided contractor-led design build services for Tessy Plastics’ plant expansion in Baldwinsville. The 275,000 square foot pre-engineered metal building includes additional manufacturing space for Tessy’s growing business along with new office, warehouse, and production space. We also coordinated extensive pre-construction site work and environmental studies, as well as finished site work including additional parking lots and a storm water retention system.

ADVION BIOSCIENCES owner Phil Proujansky – Integrated Acquisition & Development Architect QPK Architects Start June 2006 Completion May 2007

Phone: 607.257.5050

We’ve worked with Integrated Acquisition & Development on many projects over the years, including the build-out of several facilities for Advion Biosciences in Ithaca. Pictured is a new single story, 33,000 square foot office building with high-tech labs and the associated site work, utilities, finishes, and landscaping. It has a structural steel skeleton with curtain walls, metal studs, EIFS (external insulations and finish system,) and a rubber roof. The building is used for testing and analysis for the pharmaceutical industry.

ANAREN CLEAN ROOM & FITNESS ROOM owner Gert Thygesen (retired) Architect Bonacci Architects Start November 2014 Completion March 2016 Anaren, Inc., headquartered in East Syracuse, is a leading global designer and manufacturer of high frequency electronics and components and assemblies for the space defense, and telecommunications sectors. We enlarged an existing office space and renovated it into a new 16,000 square foot cleanroom. We finished the project on time and under budget.
