Enjoy Changing for the Better
“The truth is, everything that has happened in my life…that I thought was a crushing event at the time, has turned out for the better.” — Warren Buffet
Right now, it sure feels like the world has gone crazy, especially during election season. Every day we wake up to a new event that challenges our beliefs, our state of mind, and our well-being. No matter where we turn, be it social media, TV, even our local community, people are judging and attacking one another. It is just an endless stream of negativity.
The reality is that everything is not all bad. The disruption of our usual way of life and thinking is challenging. Create your own reality by focusing on what you can control and blocking out all the noise.
“Don’t let a mad world tell you that success is anything other than a successful present moment.” — Eckhart Tolle
Stay strong and positive. The world is full of good people doing good work. Here are a few things to help foster success during challenging times:
Think healthy. Focus on your health. Improve your eating habits. Even a small change will give
and
you big results. Start with reducing your sugar intake and drink more water.
Exercise regularly. Exercise every day at home or at a gym. Take a daily walk. If you can, invest in a stationary bike. There are many good choices, such as the Peloton bike I use daily.
Sleep well. Get quality sleep. Operate at a slower pace and stop eating and drinking caffeine a few hours before bedtime. Better sleep equals better energy.
Practice gratitude. We each have so many things to be grateful for. One thing to be grateful for is just being alive, and having friends and family around is a blessing each day.
Technology detox. Cut out or reduce your social media, TV, and cell phone time. We are so hooked to our devices that we have stopped taking time to smell the roses.
Take a timeout. Find time for yourself. Never become a martyr to your work, family, friends, or the world around you. You are entitled to have
your time to recharge and refresh without feeling guilty.
Energize yourself. Energy is the essence of life. Take care of you. Feel good in your mind and body. Without healthy energy levels we cannot succeed in both our personal and business lives.
Whatever your plans are for the upcoming months, be sure to have fun and stay safe. Remember things can end up turning out for the better!
