The Honor Foundation - 2023 Impact Report

Page 1

To serve others with honor, for life, so their next mission is clear and continues to impact the world.

“The Honor Foundation is phenomenal. After 12 years as a SEAL and a rapid transition, I started on day one lacking confidence in my marketability, resume, interview process, career interest, and personal strengths.

THF improved all of those segments tremendously. This is what military to civilian transition SHOULD look like. I can’t say enough about the value the THF team provides for transitioning SOF. Thank you for everything.”

– Matt Hurley, U.S. Navy SEAL, Virginia Beach

2 Quote From THF Alumnus

Dear THF Supporters,

First, I want to thank YOU for your incredible support and commitment to The Honor Foundation (THF) and, more importantly, to those whom we serve - the men and women of the U.S. Special Operations (SOF) community! The patriotism, generosity, and collaborative spirit of our supporters allows us to serve the community in an incredibly impactful way.

2023 was another year of growth for THF, as we opened two new campuses near Fort Campbell (Middle Tennessee) and Joint Base Lewis McChord near Tacoma, WA. While we’ve grown tremendously over the past five years to support more members of the SOF enterprise, we’ve NEVER sacrificed the quality of our programs for quantity - and we never will!

In 2023, we also conducted our first few overseas transition seminars for those Special Operators stationed in Europe. This year, we’ll continue that and add seminars in Hawaii. We also added a hugely popular “Transition is a Team Sport” workshop for spouses and significant others. Knowing that transition affects the whole family, we saw the need and devised a creative solution to help the key decision makers in the family unit.

As we look to the year ahead, we have more work to do, more places to provide our programs, and more warriors to serve. Thanks to your support in 2023, we are building on the strength and success of our program to positively impact the lives of those who serve at the pinnacle of our military. Enjoy the 2023 Impact Report.

With honor and respect,

3 Letter From CEO

The Honor Foundation was a game changer for me and my family. I came into the program convinced I knew exactly what I was going to do in the exact field and to be honest, I was not that excited about it. The instructors, coaches, and coursework from THF allowed me to view myself through a different lens and provide clarity on what I have to offer a company. THF enabled me to see the best version of myself and demonstrate how to sell these qualities in an interview. I am excited about my next chapter and know I will find the utmost fulfillment where I land.

– John Harrison, U.S. Army 160th SOAR Pilot, Fort Campbell

“Special operations personnel offer tremendous value to small businesses, as they have deep experience working with ambiguous challenges and can be trusted to lead with integrity in those times when no playbook exists. That’s an especially valuable trait for a company like Fueltrax, working with emerging technology and a primarily international client base. We are proud of our support to The Honor Foundation, and it is the least we can do to give back to these warriors who have allowed us to exercise our freedoms and build our company under the umbrella of protection that they have provided us all.”

“As my husband transitioned from 31 years as a Navy SWCC, The Honor Foundation was an incredible program to help him find his true “WHY” and provided the tools to give him the confidence to pursue his next career path. It gave him invaluable resources that are available to him indefinitely and provided a great source of comfort to our family knowing that we all were better prepared for civilian life because of the skills and connections made through THF.”

Quote from Harvard Business Review article:

“No business needs to be convinced that character counts, yet they frequently struggle to hire for it. In the words of the SEAL Ethos, “I serve with honor on and off the battlefield. The ability to control my emotions and my actions, regardless of circumstance, sets me apart from other men. Uncompromising integrity is my standard. My character and honor are steadfast. My word is my bond.”
