Established in 2012, Chestnut offers 16 properties within their portfolio, all perfectly dotted around the East of England.

Each location is designed to be in keeping with its area, whether through careful consideration to emulate the vicinity’s historic connections, rural magic, or coastal appeal. All the properties celebrate all things East Anglia; from wonderful hospitality to locally sourced menus to carefully designed bedrooms all with comfort in mind (many of which are dog-friendly too!).

Perfect for families: With miles of coastline and heath on the doorstep, The Westleton Crown is a great base to explore the Suffolk countryside and coast. Unearth your walking boots for a brisk walk through the scenic landscape of the National Trust Dunwich Heath and explore one of the many walking trails that takes you right along the sandy coastline. For those looking for more chilled staycation, pack up the spade and bucket and enjoy a family day at Southwold where fish and chips on the pier is a must at sunset.

Perfect for Summer: The Cricketers, situated in the picturesque village of Clavering, is a striking village pub offering beautiful landscapes for those looking to reconnect with nature.

Explore the heart of the Essex countryside and stroll through charming local villages and historic market towns such as Saffron Walden, or step back in time with a visit to Wimpole Estate where visitors can wander down stunning routes framed by greenery and wildlife.

In April 2020, Chestnut launched The Giving Tree, an initiative to undertake not-for-profit community projects to raise funds and awareness for local charities.
