Alcia Keys and Swizz Beats Welcome baby boy!
Anyone who watched the Keeping up with the Kardashians season finale could agree what Kim did to Reggie was beyond messed up. To record Reggie basically spilling his heart out to her and bringing up old relationship issues really showed Kim's true colors.
After only dating for 4 months Monica and Shannon Brown have gotten engaged. Hold on that's not it - Monica also got a tattoo of Shannon' s name with a big heart and lock and key! Now I like you Monica, but this is the dumbest move ever.
Alicia Keys and her new hubby introduced their new baby boy named Egypt in New york. This makes the abby official, Alicia is Swizz Beatz FORTH baby mama...Congrats.

Polish for fall
Mattes, nudes and dark shades The cold weather is here and your nail color needs to change! Away with the bright reds and hot pinks, bring on the dark and subtle polish for the fall season. Nail polish is a great way to express your sense of style and can add that li=le extra something to any ouPit. This winter its all about soQ nudes like light pinks and ma=e shades such as lavenders and grays. And of course the dark shades like black, blue, purple are excellent choices to fit the fashion season. If you a red nail girl, try and look for nail polish colors that are darker in color such as maroon or burgundy.

DJ Epps Love, War and Hip-Hop By Doneille “Douces” Williams
A busy night at work in a hotspot night club in Las Olas, Shadyville/ G-‐Unit DJ Epps makes a li:le Qme for his favorite hypee “Douces” for a chat session. It first surprised me to see Epps out and about working while slightly handicapped with a cast legged and crutches, but that only shows his dedicaQon for what he does and thats why he is the famous Dj Epps. He seemed delighted to have The Hype Girls there and to take part in the interview, but we were even more excited that he made some Qme for us. So we began chaTng and it amazed me to see how humble and polite he was despite his Qtle-‐-‐Shadyville/G-‐Unit DJ.

DJ Epps: Love, War and Hip-Hop con’t By Doneille “Douces” Williams
In addiQon to that, while geTng to know Epps I realize that you can never really judge a person by their affiliates. Just because you are G-‐Unit Dj, that does not mean you are strictly Hip Hop. Epps definitely schooled me on some world music that I have never heard in my life and he also filled me in on where the big money in Dj-‐ing comes from. Just Dance
Celebrate the history of movement XPOSUREMONTHLY November 2010
By Doneille “Douces” Williams
(Above) Lady Gaga perfoming live on stage
What is our existence without entertainment? What is entertainment without music and music without DANCE? Not entertaining. We have grown and evolved over generaQons of arQsQc expression. Music has grown from being more instrumental and classic to more abstract and beat oriented, causing a different effect on how our bodies react to it. The nature of dance is how we react to the sounds of an instrument, the lyrics of a song or the soul of a voice. It expresses how the music makes us feel. When we had music from musicians like Donny Hathaway, we had people dancing the waltz. Performances were more structured with a two-‐step like rouQne. In today's generaQon we have heart throbbing music that electrifies our bodies and automaQcally has us doing much more than a two-‐step.

Just Dance: Celebrate the art of movement con’t
Michael Jackson must have been the first person, beside James Brown, to make the rhythm take over his feet and just let his body take control. Since then, the trend was set and their moves have been imitated a million Qmes. Eventually leading to the formaQon of many other dances.
Today, we have made dance somewhat the central part of music. Musicians these days have to be able to make a hot record and know how to entertain a crowd with some vivacious moves. Surprisingly, the arQsts' ability to dance can make their music more a:racQve than it really is.

XPOSUREMONTHLY November 2010
Pop vs Hip Hop.... There is no disQncQon with these genres anymore they are one in the same which feeds from each others creaQvity. Pop, lock and drop IT!!
These ladies have done extraordinarily well with keeping us entertained from their top charQng hits to their trendseTng dance moves.
Its natural that our hip-‐pop sensaQons have our a:enQon with dances that hit the floor, grind the waist or even dislocate some joints to match the beat of a song! But in jusQce of that, astonishingly a different type of dance has made its way to pop culture. Ballet. This only shows that there is no limit to where music and dance of all genres combined can take you. Thats the beauty of art. Just Dance!

Mic Check? Mixtape Guru
XPOSUREMONTHLY November 2010
By Doneille “Douces” Williams
These days more than ever, if you are trying to get recognized as an arQst a mixtape can make you or break you. However, with all these "wannabes" out there how do you get your mixtape to stand out? I've seen and listened to a lot of mixtapes. Some I have just glimpsed at and not even bother to put in my CD player. Others, I have come across listened to the intro and was like, "NEXT." There are some that just intrigued me at first sight, that made me want to see what type of content it had and if it would be as interesQng as it looked. LOOK THIS WAY!!! One of the most important things that are a must when doing anything is: presentaQon. PresentaQon is what gains a:enQon. Once you have accomplished that you then have the ball in your court. How to gain a:enQon at first glance is having the proper mixtape cover. Your cover has to be unique but not too overbearing that the most important element isn't noQced. All that unnecessary cameo pics that has nothing to do with the mixtape only makes the cover look crowded like someone hurled all over it. The name (Qtle) of the mixtape should be something that makessense with what the content is delivering. (con’t on page 31)
Agree or Disagree with Douces? Speak your mind right here.

ONE MIC...LISTEN UP!!! Once the tape cover has gained the a:enQon of a potenQal listener, what's next is to make sure the first thing heard when you push play is something that keeps the audience listening. Yup, that intro is important. All that talking isn't going to cut it. One minute is too much for you to just to be talking about what's next. Shut up and let the beat drop. If nothing else makes sense, make sure the first song is a monster and an all the way Hype one. That will make all the difference for the listener to proceed. Save all the jibba jabba & miscellaneous stuff for the interludes, which should be entertaining as well.
MONEY ATTRACTS MONEY!!! If you are an amateur and working on a mixtape to issue to the public, DON'T seem like an amateur. Act, sound and look like you're the shiznit, and everybody else will believe it. Then treat you and your work as such! Put effort into your work. Don't be sQngy and half-‐stepping on your material. That will only take you halfway. Invest in you! Get more Beatbox

Belly Dancing
Shake your hips to healthy! By Beverly Garcia
I always wanted to learn how to move my hips like a belly dancer. There’s something so seducQve about it, which is why went to Belly Dance by Shayna in Cutler Ridge, FL. Shayna Lee is a great instructor. She’s been belly dancing for over six year and performs professionally at all sorts of events. The class started with a warm up. We did a few basic moves to stretch and get our bodies pumping. We then officially began to learn some moves. First, we learned isolated hip movements. We later moved on to arms. One would think this would be the easiest part, but it wasn’t. It was hard to hold my arms up for such a long period of Qme. It was even harder to have to carry the weight of my arms, never the less while I did the “S” like moQon with them (cont’d on page 51)

Dancing with the Stars Season recap
XPOSUREMONTHLY November 2010
By Beverly Garcia
Dancing with the Stars is one of the most successful dance shows to ever air on television. It’s one of ABC’s highest rated shows. As a ma:er of fact, it has been their highest rated show for several weeks in a row. This is not a first for Dancing with the Stars, as they have been on for 11 seasons. I’ve watched this show in the past but I’ve never really followed it to the end. However, this season I decided to jump on worry no more! I have a mini run down that can help you catch up the DWTS bang wagon. on what has occurred this This season ABC went all season on Dancing with the out. This season’s cast consisted Stars. Read more of: Michael Bolton, Brandy, Margaret Cho, Rick Fox, Jennifer Grey, David Hasselhoff, Florence Henderson, Kyle Orlando, Bristol Palin, Audrina Patridge, Mike “The SituaQon” SorrenQno and Kurt Warner. If you haven’t seen the show before I highly encourage you to do so. For those of you who need to catch up,

Alcohol: Friend or Foe Diet friendly choices By Ana Rodriguez
We all like to have fun… and on occasion party, which usually leads to drinking! But if you choose to drink, especially aper a long work week, believe it or not, there are diet friendly choices. While you may be sQcking to a healthier eaQng plan on most days, certain occasions call for a toast. While alcohol is fat-‐free and low in carbs, it's important to remember that these calories count when it comes to weight management. Alcohol and dieQng don’t mix well because your body processes alcohol first, leaving carbohydrates and fats to get stored as fat instead of geTng used as fuel. (con<nued on page 54)

Even if you are careful about your alcohol consumpQon, not all drinks are created equal! Some choices are be:er than others. Try to avoid mixed drinks. Mixed drinks are usually paired with sugary mixers or fruit juice. This on average increases each drink by about 120 calories per drink! Be:er choices are vodka tonic (my personal favorite), tequila or anything that can be drank by itself or on the rocks such as whiskey. Another opQon If you’re going to drink liquor is to try to pair it with calorie-‐free mixers like diet soda, diet tonic water, or carbonated water.

Each 5-‐ounce glass is about a 100 calories with no cholesterol, sodium or fat. This is true for both red and white wine. Most health experts recommend the following hierarchy: choose red wine over white wine; choose wine over beer; choose darker beers over lighter beers; and choose beer over liquor and liqueur.
Beer is the next best choice for dieters with, about 150 calories per 12-‐ounce serving. Choosing light beers will drop your caloric intake without sacrificing much flavor, but keep in mind that it can be hard

11/11 Miami @ Boston CelQcs 11/13 Miami vs Toronto Raptors
Miami Heat won there first game of the season against the Philadelphia 76ers. Now this wasn’t a shocker because, well the 76ers suck. But I’m sQll happy for the win, Dwayne Wade had 30 points, James Jones had 20 points and Lebron James had 16 points. But Chris Bosh followed with a close 15 points. I’m so happy, and I hope Dwayne Wade’s 30 points can shut up everyone who was making comments like “Lebron will be carrying the team just like he did the Cavaliers…” Yeah right. It was really annoying that Lebron James had 9 turnovers, which was more than the whole team combined! For some reason this whole game ended really quick… hmm maybe it was because the haters had nothing to talk about?
