'Yung SANA ALL. Cedrix Joshua Eligio (left), an Industrial Engineering student and Therese Martine S. Saulo (right), a Social Work student, both acquired flat one grade for the second semester of the Academic Year 2020-2021.
Find the perfect balance ganon. Gusto ko I would be able to do other things pa rin outside school. "My point is dapat di natin ni-rerestrict masyado sarili natin, enjoy habang students pa tayo, kasi once na nasa | to page 4

Campus pubs, stude orgs call for end of VAW
by John Derrick Cordova
INITIATED BY The Industrialist, the official student publication of Don Honorio Ventura State University, campus publications and student organizations in the university collaborated to call for the annihilation of violence against women (VAW).
The unity statement was released in line with the opening of the annual undertaking of the 18-day Campaign to End Violence Against Women last November 25.
In the statement, the publication, together with the signed student publications and organizations, show support in the endeavors of the 18-day Campaign to End Violence against Women to annihilate all forms of violence against women in every space.
"We believe that it is high time to realize that VAW not only deals physical damage but also hampers them from reaching their full potential along with also immortalizing gender inequality," the statement reads. "Let us begin to transition society into a safe space for everybody, including women."
A total of 47 campus publications and student organizations in the university joined the unity statement.
In this year’s theme, safe spaces are highlighted in parallel to its advocacy to promote the Republic Act 11313 or Safe Spaces Act that seeks to end gender–based sexual harassment in streets, public spaces, online, workplaces, and educational and training institutions.
SC declares parts of anti-terror law unconstitutional
by John Derrick Cordova
THE SUPREME COURT en banc voted to declare some parts of the controversially-enacted Anti-Terrorism Act (ATA) of 2020 as unconstitutional on December 9, 2021.
The ruling was conducted last December 7, granting the petitions against the said law.
Particularly voided by a vote of 12-3 was the act's Section 4 phrase “which are not intended to cause death or serious physical harm to a person, to endanger a person’s life, or to create a serious risk to public safety” that was declared unconstitutional for "being overboard and violative of freedom of expression".
The "second method" of designation in Section 25 paragraph 2 of the law which gives power to the Anti-Terrorism Council (ATC) to designate a person or a group as terrorists based on a request by another country was also declared unconstitutional by a vote of 9-6.
All other petitions on the Anti-Terrorism Act of 2020 provisions are declared not unconstitutional which includes, among others, the third mode which gives ATC the power to designate individuals, groups of persons, organization, or association upon finding a probable cause.
This is considered by many activists as dangerous as no trials are involved in the identification.
ATA was controversially expedited in the Congress at the height of the pandemic last July 2020.
