Tonya Parker I approach diet like I approach religion—there is an element of truth to them all. Just like I have evolved my spiritual practice into an interfaith, metaphysical point of view, I intuitively integrate what the various diets have to offer to feed my mind, body, and spirit. Therefore, this cookbook has something to offer for fish and fowl-eaters, vegetarians, vegans, raw foodists, and soul foodaholics, to name a few. Tonya Parker

SACRED INTENTION AND AFFIRMATION TO ASSIST IN YOUR JOURNEY AS YOU FOLLOW THE GURU WITHIN 95 AFFIRMATIONS
Playing in the Infinite Field While working on this month's issue, it became clear to me that intentions and affirmations go together like a biscuit and honey. (Yes, my Southern roots are showing thru.) You really can't have a manifestation of whatever it is that you are intending unless you are saying good positive things in YOUR own mind. How many times have you thought of an idea, dream, or goal and before you could even begin planning your next step - before you could take your next breath - you were bombarded from your inner critic with negative self-talk? As you endeavor this year to follow the guru within and to become increasingly unified with your own divinity, you will have to overcome your inner critic before you can truly succeed. Milton Craft shares an article this month titled, No Compromise! Every time we listen to the inner critic we are not only compromising our goals, hopes, dreams, and aspirations, we are ultimately compromising ourselves. Little by little, moment by moment, doubt by doubt we are talking ourselves out of the greatest life that only a god could imagine. John 10:34 says, "Ye are gods." The farther we allow our thoughts and inner ramblings to move from this centric point of TRUTH, the greater the distance between us and our dreams becomes. Perhaps, your inner critic is saying to you: I'll get there, but I gotta take baby steps. In 1968, it only took Neil Armstrong one step to make history as the first man to walk on the moon. Neil Armstrong said with his feet planted on the moon's surface, "That's one small step for a man and one giant leap for mankind." How many steps do you really need to take? Honestly, all you really need to do is to take one step. That step is to simply to begin.
a message from spirit
I can wait. It's not like my dream has to happen right now! Dr. Martin Luther King, Jr. sat down to pen one of his famous books titled, Why We Can't Wait in 1968. The book and sermon provides a an clear unabridged argument for why segregation, violence, and hatred could no longer continue. He neither apologized nor turned away from this idea. Dr. King moved forward with vision and a clear intention that the world should change and that change would come about right now. Are there things in your life that need to change? Have you suffered or allowed things in your life for years upon years or moments upon moments. Well, today is your new beginning. Today is the day that your NOW will appear. Stop waiting for tomorrow. Carpe Diem! Seize the day! Your moment is right now... It can not be done. In early 2007, a man named Barack Obama began an unlikely campaign as an unlikely candidate for the highest office in the US and perhaps the world. Mr. Obama as he is called today set his sights on becoming the 44th President of the United States of America. Almost immediately after he announced his candidacy the "naysayers" began saying, "It can not be done." With a resounding "Yes We CAN!" - part intention, part affirmation, and part inspiration - Mr. Obama took his election from a simple idea - intention - to a reality - affirmation which culminated in his being sworn in as the 44th President of the United States of America on January 20, 2009. I don't know exactly what your inner critic is saying to you, but I do know that you have another, louder voice if you only take the time to begin listening and applying what it says. It's really your choice what voice you listen to: the inner critic or the guru within. Me? I'm going with the guru! You are more than welcome to join me.... Infinitely Yours,

Tony Redhouse by Laurie Martin Tony Redhouse is the winner of the 2009 "Best New Age" Award for his CD entitled "Deep Within" from the Native American Music Awards. He has dedicated most of his life to sharing his spirit with others through his Emmy-nominated music, ceremonial hoop dancing, storytelling, inspirational spiritual teachings, and meditations. In the ten years that I’ve know Tony, I can attest that he is one person who lives and breathes his connection with the divine, allowing creative inspiration to flow through him in all that he does. As many of us, Tony hasn’t had an easy ride. He has gone through his own struggles, battling through alcohol addiction and several broken relationships. He spent a year in his home alone detoxifying from alcohol and other demons. He managed to care for himself while taking a deep journey into his soul. Tony made it through the darkness into the light and what came out of the depths of his soul was his award-winning cd, “Deep Within”. He said, “This music has had profound healing effects on many people.”
Tony Redhouse Award Winning Musician & Divine Inspiration to Many
I believe "Deep Within" was only made possible by Tony's courage to surrender into himself and go to the depth of his being, which is why his CD is having such profound healing effects on people. When truth is exposed, it sparks and touches truth in others. As we go deeper within ourselves, reaching our core, everything we create reflects that consciousness. I asked Tony several questions about his life journey, his own inspiration and who his hero is; read his interesting responses!
The Infinite Field Magazine
page 8
Q&A Â
Laurie: When you wrote your new award-winning CD, “Deep Within, what was your inspiration? Tony: My inspiration for the CD came to me as I was undergoing medical treatment from April 2007 to March 2008. During this challenging and isolated time of "hibernation," I became acutely aware of my human frailty and the Spirit's unconditional love that embraced my life during this journey within my soul. The simplicity of the music in this CD reflects the essence and the core of my prayerful existence with the Spirit during this season of life. Laurie: What a gift for you to have found that within yourself! What have been your biggest lessons that you learned during your year into the dark side of your soul? Tony: During this dark season of my life, I learned to be gentle and tender with myself. I felt like that lone pebble in a rushing river of water that had fallen down into the dark, cold, abyss of obscurity. I learned then to intentionally go to that deepest part of the Spirit, and to remain in this place of refuge and safety. Laurie: Those were very big lessons you endured and it takes a warrior like yourself to surrender into that state. I commend you! But, what a blessing it is to be in the place you are in now. Who is your inspiration or hero? Tony: My inspiration is the many people who leave the "nests" of their comfort zone and attempt to spread their "wings" of intention, in order to find their true destiny and experience the "smile of the Spirit" on their lives. These people include the addicts in recovery that I work with that have the courage to let go of the only reality they have known and to begin a healthy new life. They include the musicians who express the truest song from their souls, and those who choose to love instead of judging another human being. My father is my hero because he chose to leave his homeland, his people and his way of life to create a family of creative "pioneers" who also share his vision of helping others to become free to reach their greatest joy.
The Infinite Field Magazine
page 9
Q&A Laurie: Beautifully said! You have spent many years offering your gifts of creativity to the world, what has brought you the most joy? Tony: My greatest joy has been experiencing the progressive manifestation of the Spirit's love in every facet of my own life. As more of my true self is revealed, released, and healed by this love, my desire to share my creative gifts with people becomes greater and greater. Laurie: Have you played instruments and sang your whole life? Who was your inspiration to sing, dance, and share your soul? Tony: When I was five years old, my parents entered me in an International Children's Cultural Pageant where I held my first Native American drum. As a child in our home, I use to harmonize with my siblings as we sang Christmas carols around my mom's piano. During our adolescence we would sing and play R&B cover tunes as a musical family, and my father could be heard in our home singing Navajo chants and rehearsing classic tenor tunes with my mom. This versatile use of voice that my father displayed was a huge inspiration to me, because this showed me that there were no boundaries for how my voice, my dance, and my soul could be expressed. I began playing the Native American flute later in my life as an adult. Laurie: I was lucky enough to see several of your performances; your music touches my soul. How has your artistry evolved? Tony: I learned the traditional songs and dances from my father, and performed them with my family during our Cultural Awareness presentations in the urban communities that we lived in. Today, I share these artistic expressions to capture the attention of audiences so that I can then speak inspirational messages that empower them to make positive choices in life. When I was a young performer there was a spiritual message within me that I wanted to share; now the spiritual message is THE purpose for the performance.
The Infinite Field Magazine
page 10
Laurie: I know you have been involved for many years working with children and others. Tell me about your humanitarian work you are involved with specific groups and communities. Tony: Since I moved back to Arizona, I have been sharing Native American spiritual traditions, meditation music, and craft classes with a substance abuse recovery center for women in Tucson. My classes begin with live meditation music to teach them to be comfortable in stillness, and then I guide them in how to create beautiful Native American artifacts with their own lives as part of their recovery process. Recently, I have begun sharing similar classes with young Navajo men in a group home for clients with substance abuse and mental health challenges in Phoenix. I also speak and perform concerts for the American Cancer Society and other related organizations to inspire cancer survivors and their families. My "Deep Within" CD has been an inspirational resource for those who are undergoing cancer treatment. Laurie: I’m so proud of who you are here on earth Tony! What’s next for Tony Redhouse? Tony: I am in the process of compiling my writing, spiritual teaching, healing craft projects, spiritual music insights, and my life experience into a book. I would like this to be an inspirational resource and guide for recovery programs, schools, families and seekers of spiritual truth. Tony Redhouse has served as a traditional Native American practitioner & consultant to Native American communities and behavioral health organizations. He is a visual artist, Grammy-nominated recording artist, inspirational speaker, spiritual teacher, hoop and eagle dancer. He uses Native American art, dance, and music to inspire and heal lives. Laws of Life for Kids
What’s Law Got to Do With It? Explaining Universal Laws In this magazine, we have been exploring particular Universal Laws through stories. Often, stories help us gain a better understanding of complex ideas, such as Universal Laws. It is important to know what Universal Laws are, their importances, and their value in our lives. When exploring them, questions often come forward. What are Universal Laws? In all of existence, structure and order make everything function effectively. Just as physical laws like gravity and relativity govern the physical world, there are also laws that govern the order and structure of creation. Without these laws, there would be chaos. These laws are the unwavering and unchanging principles that rule our entire universe and allow it, and us, to exist, thrive, and expand. We can look at them as guidelines for behaviors that will enhance our physical, mental, emotional, and spiritual growth. What are the features of Universal Law? Law applies to everyone, everything, everywhere at all times. These laws are not religious, but spiritual. They operate in very specific and predictable ways, though their names and number vary, depending on what is being read. The conditions, events, and situations in our lives are evidence of these laws in this physical world because what we believe shows up in every aspect of our lives. The most important part of Universal Law is the basic premise that everyone has within them the power to change their life. Why do I want to know about Universal Laws? It is not a requirement of life to know the Universal Laws, or even be aware that they exist for them to be at work in our lives. Because they are operating at all times, under all circumstances, in every area of our lives, Universal Laws are wise to learn so that we can work with them purposefully and consciously. Understanding, cooperating with, and applying these Universal Laws support us in leading the most successful, joyful, healthy and fulfilling life possible. How can I teach Universal Law to my children? Of course, teaching them to children requires that you study them yourself. One of the best ways to learn is to teach. After studying Universal Laws on your own, look for opportunities, called “teachable moments", to talk with your kids about them. These moments come everyday in a variety of ways. They are the conversations in the car, at the dinner table, and during bedtime routine. They are the questions about “why” or “how" something took place in a child, friend, or family’s life. Many of the articles I have written in this section in previous months come directly from my experience with my six year old daughter. The opportunities are constantly available, but it is the awareness and willingness to take advantage of them that will provide your children the opportunity to learn. Also, children love stories, both those you read and those you make up. Read the articles written here to your children or use them as a foundation for crating your own. Finally, pray for and meditate on ways to teach your child about Universal Laws and the MIN. JENNIFER HOPPER'S MISSION IS TO PROMOTE answers will come! I, Me, Mine by Ken and Renée Kizer
What are boundaries, and what are appropriate boundaries in a romantic relationship? Emotional and physical boundaries are limits on expression and feeling that allow us to know ourselves without being invaded or controlled by other people. They also let us know what isn’t self - other people and parts of the world in which we don't need to be concerned, involved, or responsible. For those reasons, they are vitally important to prevent overload and overwhelm, and to prevent us from invading others. The question of boundaries isn’t cut and dried, however. There needs to be a way we let others into our hearts, and boundaries that are too strong will prevent that. On the other hand, boundaries that are too porous turn us into doormats for others. People who have a lot of fear tend to be pretty tightly locked down out of the belief that vulnerability leads to getting hurt again. The problem with this approach is that it never works. First, the way to heal hurt is to let ourselves experience it fully so that it will release from the body. Tightening up only locks the pain in the body, and it never gets cleared. The only thing that happens is it gets buried in the subconscious, where it will surface again and again when triggered by particular situations, usually much to our consternation (“I thought I had already dealt with my parents!”). This is residue from childhood when we believed the only way to protect ourselves from fear or pain was to either disconnect (leave our bodies) or to shut down. The problem with this approach is that fear/pain and excitement are the same - they are just an emotional force that all feel basically the same on a physical level. We interpret them and add the meaning to each emotion based on decisions usually formed at a very young age. We then carry these meanings into adulthood without thinking, attach immature meanings to our emotions, and then react inappropriately - at least until we start addressing the erroneous beliefs. For example, notice that the experience of falling in love can be a simultaneous mix of terror and excitement. Because we are subconsciously still stuck in the interpretation of the first time we felt scared and excited (let’s say somewhere between one and five years of age), we react like a 1-5 year-old instead of our adult self. If, as a child, we got relief from shutting down or disconnecting, when faced with love as an adult, we look for that same relief using the same behavior. However, what worked as a child just doesn’t work the same when we are adults. As adults, we begin to recognize that mature love requires an openness that may have felt unsafe as a child and that shutting down in fear also shuts out the love. When we suppress uncomfortable feelings, we also suppress good feelings. The idea that holding back negative feelings makes more room for positive ones simply doesn’t work. Lots of people make the effort to reach out for love but have already subconsciously decided to withhold openness and vulnerability. This withholding typically leads to a difficult, dramatic and disappointing experience. Married people who keep their money completely separate betray a challenge in trusting each other. They could be said to have already written part of their divorce settlement, since their money is already divided. Because of this division, neither person is ever really committed to the relationship, in the sense of joining in a mutual effort to create a successful relationship. As legitimate as the concerns might seem, the reasons for withholding still don't matter- the quality of loving will suffer. This doesn't mean we must trust everyone we meet- sometimes they really aren't trustworthy. The Infinite Field Magazine
page 15
At the other extreme, some of us give our love away too easily - we will get involved with people who use, bully or abuse us. Sometimes this is a result of learning that pleasing family members- doing what they demanded without question- was rewarded with love or acknowledgment. Another common pattern is that if someone gets what they want, the other person has to lose or be hurt.
risk. Attempting to minimize the risk ensures we will not be available for the possibility of real love. On the other hand, we must contain the strength of identity and self-love to weather failure or disappointment. That is the grace of loving. Here’s a quick test to get a sense of your current state of openness. The rating scale is: Never=1 point, Seldom=2 points, Sometimes=3 points, Often=4 points and Usually=5 points.
1. 2. 3. 4. 5. 6. The result is we turn into doormats - going extra lengths to please others based on feeling that we lack some inner qualities that we can get from those we “love.” In actuality, part of the relationship is an often unspoken and unconscious agreement that one person will be strong and the other one will be weak. The bargain made is based on one person being allowed to use the other, which is a massive invasion of boundaries. The goal is a delicate and flexible balance of limits and emotional availability: a balance of being open and vulnerable to entrust our heart to another while trusting we can survive if it doesn’t work out. One of the tenets of romance is that success requires taking a
I would rather take care of others than myself. I feel angry. I go along with others rather than do what I prefer. I tend to stay in unhealthy relationships. I often take on the feelings of others around me. I feel as if something is missing from my life.
If your total score is below 12, you may be too closed off to life and to others. If your total score is above 24, chances are your boundaries are too porous. In other words, there’s no “right” answer to these questions- we all give too much away at times, and we all close off too much at times. The way to create clear personal boundaries is to accept responsibility for our own welfare. Maintaining those boundaries is a constant balancing act between personal beliefs and those of others which allows us to hold what’s valuable while being open to new ideas that can improve what we already have.

remember your future
I looked and looked everywhere I could think of and certainly most places I had been in the past few days. I had simply forgotten where I placed my intention. Continuing on with my day-to-day activities seemed to be half-hearted or lacking the reason and motivation to pursue altogether. Had I found myself engaging in activities to serve others for the benefit of others, or wasn't I? What was the point of an activity without a set intention? I realized one day that, on more than one occasion, I had become very excited and motivated about a goal or project late into the night. Then, days or weeks later, realized I had forgotten all about it after falling asleep. Have you ever had a special trinket you held dear? Perhaps a locket you wear around your neck, a secret diary, or an heirloom pocket watch that holds a cherished memory? You may have held this item with you every day as something that is truly more than a simple object. It has been with you, creating a part of your every day, similar to a medieval knight who lives by his sword. Everyday the knight goes through his activities with his sword by his side which is more than an object to him. His sword is a constant reminder of his original intentions and desired outcome though his ventures. If you have been forgetful from time to time in the past, you may try an experiment. The next time you are in a place where you imagine yourself or with a desired outcome to a degree where you can feel it come into your body, hold onto it with intention that it will be. Now hold this intention so dear to you as if it were a special trinket or locket around your neck or a sword. It is with you every day. It now holds a memory of your future outcome and by acknowledging its existence, you are being reminded of what path you decided to travel down. If your intention is related to the state of health you have imagined, hold that close to you all day and every day and notice what you notice. Discover The Power of Life Visioning & Vision Boards Just like DaVinci and Disney Did To Reach Their Dreams by Joyce Schwarz Do you have a dream so big that you are afraid that you’ll never reach it? Discover the power of Life Visioning and Vision Board Creation! For those of you who value the combined power of body, mind, and spirit the Vision Board is a perfect addition to your spiritual and life-planning tool-kit. A Vision Board, which is a visual map for designing your best possible future in all aspects of your life ranging from business and creating multiple income streams to romance, to family, to health, and well-being. As old as cavemen! As many of you know, Vision Boards are also known as "dream boards", "wish boards", "Treasure maps", "Life Collage", "Wisdom Collage", and "Life Wheels". But what you probably never heard is that the history of the Vision Board dates back to the caveman era where pictures of animals and other visuals were sketched or painted on walls of caves and known as Cave Paintings. Many of these early cave paintings were painted in advance of a hunt where the artist was visually experiencing the hunting conquest in advance. A form of 'visioning' or visualization. From DaVinci to Disney Throughout the centuries, the ancient art of visioning (searching from the inside/out to co-create your future with the Universe), has been practiced by many of the great masters of our world ranging from Leonardo DaVinci to Walt Disney. Today, major corporations such as Boeing and influential organizations like the United Nations and the World Bank use visioning and Vision Boards for future scenario planning and economic development to grow emerging countries and international community outreach. The media has embraced the concept of Vision Boards and they have been featured on such TV shows as OPRAH, LARRY KING, ELLEN and others to show the power of how to change your mind and change your life. In writing my book, The Vision Board: The Secret to an Extraordinary Life (Harper Collins Publishing, Collins Design, $24.95), I was fortunate to interview more than 75 leading wisdom leaders and spiritual advisors, Olympic athletes, Television and Hollywood media personalities, and other celebrities ranging from Shaman and author Lynn Andrews “Medicine Woman” to Aras Baskauskas, the $1 million dollar winner of CBS SURVIVOR TV show. Each of these VIP’s and millions of other people from all walks of life are turning to Vision Boards to latch onto the power of left brain (logical) and right brain (intuitive) skills in co-creating their lives and work with the Universe. From Wall Size to iPhone screens Vision boards come in all shapes and designs and can be made from all substances ranging from paper to canvas to actual wall-size creations to digital versions that serve as screensavers for your laptop and mobile versions for iPod and iPhone. Most people are familiar with Vision Boards that look a bit like collage and feature pictures torn from magazines, photographs, and personal memorabilia that are affixed by glue or paste to a poster or foam board. But Vision Boards variations can also include paintings, mixed-media and vision journals, workbooks, and community vision billboards. GRABS SUCCESS FORMULA As a keynote speaker at many holistic and mind, body, and spirit conferences, I find that by sharing my proprietary Success Formula many of the practitioners and audience members are better able to prepare to create their own vision boards and vision their best possible lives for 2010 and beyond. The formula as noted in my best-selling book The Vision Board: The Secret to an Extraordinary Life, features a fivestep process. Here is a peek at that formula: G= Gratitude. Start from an attitude of gratitude and make a list of all that you are grateful for in your life. R = Release and Receive. Release any negativity or disbelief you have about your present or future and be ready to receive the best possible year you can co-create with the Universe. A= Acknowledge and Ask. Acknowledge your accomplishments and your contributions to the world, then ask the Universe to aid you in your co-creation process. B=Believe and Be authentic. Believe in yourself and be as authentic to who you really are as you step forward on your path to manifestation. S=Share. Share your talents, your wisdom, and your services with those around you and beyond so that the circle of creation cycles on. Once you’re completed these five steps you will be ready to create your vision statement and your vision board. A Vision Board generally includes these elements: A) Visuals: photos, magazine images, drawings, and photographs. B) Affirmations: optimistic sayings, inspirational quotes, mantras, and mottos that encourage good habits and changes in your life for the better (often known as intentions). What makes affirmations so powerful is that they are “I Am” statements written in the present tense even if they are goals you are still working on. Examples are I AM POWERFUL, I AM PROSPEROUS. C) Embellishments -- including stickers, foil stars, glitter, ribbon, personal memorabilia such as concert tickets, travel folders, and maps. D) POWER WORDS such a Freedom, Peace of Mind, Abundance, Prosperity, and Happiness that evolve from a personal or group visioning session. Note: You may also want to create and keep an accompanying Dream or Wish List -- a losing of those visions, dreams or wishes, goals and desires you want and are creating in your life. Plan B by Lisa Gutowski
"I have a plan. You are the plan. That's it." ~ God. I saw this on a billboard, going North on Telegraph Rd. as I was driving Friday. I'd seen it before, yet today it hit me with the "Listen! Listen! Listen!" alert! "I have a plan. You are the plan. That's it," signed God. Now, whatever your belief system is about God, Goddess, the Universe, the Omniverse, source, the Force (I could go on forever here), or even if you are an atheist, this should be telling you something. There will be no bailouts from heaven. The human race is on our own down here. We can ask for assistance, however help from the other planes can only do so much. We are the plan. We have to do the work. We, individuals creating, are the principle element that is responsible for everything in Earth World. Lots of folks walking around in 3D world are getting tired. Some are bailing out of heavy dense vibrational places (like Michigan) to move into a place which "feels better". Quite a few of our spiritual teachers have given up their practices, are retiring, or are just not up to giving out their energy anymore. There are a few gurus whose life circumstances or age is keeping them from continuing, or making them keep going when they really want to retire. It is work, this spiritual stuff, and work can be exhausting, especially when equal reciprocation is not given. For all but a few, being in the healing biz does not pay the bills! You are the front runners of the New Human Consciousness, and that, my dear ones, is work. Work is exhausting. Even saying the word - work - begins to drain your energy, especially when you read all the newsletter energy alerts! New blasts from source, portal openings, dimensions anchoring, alignments occurringgood googley-goo, is all this whacking out shifting really necessary? Feels like work! Plan A is where we work. We work on our stuff, we work at learning, we work at grounding, we work at evolving. All this work! Yuck! I prefer a new plan, a Plan B. Instead of work, let's play! Everyone loves to play! Play is fun! It's life-enriching, soul-enhancing, nurturing, and fundamentally one of human beings best quality. Sometime in our childhood, play is driven out of us by well meaning authority figures who had the play sucked out of them. We can take back the play! In Ghostbusters II, there was a river of energy under New York City, created from the lower vibed energy of it's inhabitants (most likely because they worked too hard...). The GB's got everyone in NYC to just love on each other in an atmosphere of play - and the river dissolved! We are Ghostbusters! We have the power to lift wherever we are to the highest degree and evaporate the river of negativity that is grounded beneath us! That is Plan B! With play you get to say how your world is going. Play raises your vibration and higher vibes brings happier events! The Infinite Field Magazine

The Technique: •
Insert a play-o-meter into your awareness, much like a speedometer in your car, with play being on the left and work being in a big red zone on the right.
•
Assign a higher guide to be the Meter Master.
•
Give instructions to the Meter Master to keep your level of work below the halfway point at all times and if it gets over halfway, set the alarms blaring!
•
Now, go out in your day, and what ever you do, do it in the energy of play.
When the Meter Master tells you that your needle is over the half way mark to work- check yourself and return to play! It is that simple. Beyond Techniques: •
Be play! Just live in the possibility of playfulness, be joyful, be someone who whenever you come into the room, the whole place lights up just because you are there!
Even when the energy has you bouncing all over the place, let it in like an old friend you haven't seen in a while for a tea party! Yours in the spirit of joy and play (and practicing her shut-ups), Lisa Marie

Life Is a Fairy Tale by Elayna Fernandez
I didn’t have an evil stepmother or jealous stepsisters, and of course there was no prince or royal ball in my humble small town; however, as a little girl I felt like Cinderella, full of dreams, plans and good intentions, with seemingly no possibility to make them a reality. Or was there? I did not believe in fairy godmothers. That was not possible. At least, not for me. Nowadays, I find myself a mother of two young daughters to whom I’ve read since they were in the womb. Together we read books, fables, articles, magazines, and of course, fairy tales, over and over again. My version of Cinderella has changed over the years, as I have come to the conclusion that fairy tales are not imaginary after all. I know it sounds crazy, but, let us recap: when Cinderella found herself alone, although sad because of her circumstances, she told herself, “I would love to go to the royal ball tonight."This wish made it possible for her fairy godmother to appear in front of her. However, the wish did not make Cinderella ready for the ball and it certainly did not take her to a magical experience at the Royal Castle. Instead, the fairy godmother actually commanded Cinderella to find mice, a rat, a pumpkin... “Cinderella, without asking a word, gathered everything her god mother asked for.” The fairy godmother used her magic wand to turn it into what she needed, but before she warned her, “–You must return before midnight, the spell will be broken at that time –" The Infinite Field Magazine
page 24
There are five key principles to analyze and reflect upon: 1. 2. 3. 4. 5.
Cinderella had worked diligently and was certainly worthy of attending the ball. Cinderella allowed herself to dream of the royal ball, a prince, and a fancy gown. Cinderella, although skeptical at first, had faith in her fairy godmother and believed in the possibility of attending the ball. Cinderella did not hesitate; she simply took action to make her dream come true. As tempting as it may have been, Cinderella took the rules seriously and did not forget her promise.
This was not mere magic. Cinderella had a great opportunity and knew how to seize it. She had the preparation, vision, faith, diligence, and discipline that led her to live a reality beyond her dreams. We often hear stories of people who are born with a “lucky star” and we do not stop to think that even to win the lottery someone has to actually have hope, make at least a small investment, and follow up on the results. Furthermore, if you just randomly win any prize and you don’t believe you won’t and never claim it, can you enjoy it? You know the answer. Life is a fairy tale. Your fairy godmother is listening to that little voice inside you that allows doors to open where you never thought they’d be. Your fairy godmother is your connection with the divinity that lies inside you when you recognize that you were created as an image of a God who has infinite power and wishes your absolute happiness. Your fairy godmother is that person who shows up in your life as a messenger of peace, help, guidance and support, and brotherly or sisterly love. Your fairy godmother is YOU receiving inspiration from above, believing and creating, and using the most obvious resources to overcome what troubles you. Your fairy godmother is your willingness to share love, motivation, time and resources with others; she is your willingness to work hard rather than dismay. “Cinderella and the Prince soon married and lived happily ever after in the palace.” I can only imagine the comments from the townspeople. “Where did she come from?” “She’s so lucky” “The slipper fits and she marries a prince!” If only they knew Cinderella’s work, challenges, trials and patience… all before the happy ending. Next time you witness or find out about someone’s “happy ending”, ask yourself, or better yet ask them about the Preparation, Vision, Faith, Diligence and Discipline that brought them to their final goal. You’ll be surprised. Life is a fairy tale. You to can have a happy ending.

Affirmative Prayer Affirmative prayer is prayer that is approached with an attitude that there is a power for good available and ready to be used to manifest the perfection of life that already exists. It is a method used to realign one's thoughts with the good, the beautiful and the true which is available to all.
Rev. Claire A. Middleton was born in Yonkers, NY and at an early age began to read the bible and question why certain principles were not being taught. She began to explore various denominations and in college she continued to search different religions to find answers to some of the burning questions she had. She received her B.S. degree in Biology from Central State University in Wilberforce Ohio and went on to Brooklyn College to receive her MA degree in Urban Education. She found Religious Science over 25 years ago and immediately began to see the thread of truth she had found in her studies throughout the years. She founded the Center for Spiritual Living -COLORS, formerly known as The Church of Light of Religious Science in 2001. COLORS has a membership of over 170 as well as a group of students in Palm Beach, South Africa whom Rev. Claire supports with the teaching.

It is also knowing that God is not capricious and responds to all because we are talking about the Law. "It is not a respecter of persons." Why then does it appear that some people's prayers are answered and others are not? Some approach prayer wondering if they are heard, are worthy or if in fact they can have what they are requesting of God. All of these thoughts represent doubt. The Master Jesus' teaching is that, "it is done unto you as you believe." If you enter prayer with doubt, you are not believing it, and you get what you really are believing. Affirmative prayer is approached by affirming a truth. We must know what we desire and identify the qualities of God that manifest that desire. For example, if you are looking for more monies, you must know that God is your source and supply. You must also remind yourself that God is not only outside of you but dwells within you. Therefore, you are source and supply because there is God within you. You must claim what it is you desire, such as $10,000 or greater, realizing there is no great or small in God. You then must address your unbelief, knowing that there is nothing that can stand in the way of this truth. Restating your desire, you release it to the Universe as the Law in your life. You say thank you and know that it is done. You then begin to act as if the prayer has been fulfilled. Whatever the money was for, begin to imagine using it. Your mind doesn't know the difference between imagination and reality. Walk in the joy of having received whatever you desire, and allow the Universe to do what it does best- manifest. God answers all prayer. First, we must know what we desire, have the courage to state it, the willingness to let the old go and the belief that it is done. Rev Claire The Infinite Field Magazine

Our Humanity is our Divinity This week, I took a day off from a life overbooked in responsibilities to pick up a lamp I had ordered from an artisan whose work I had fallen in love with almost 20 years ago when I lived in Santa Fe. Janna has decided to move on to a different expression of herself after 21 years of making beautiful ways to light up a room, and I wanted to make sure to get another lamp of hers before I no longer could. Turns out that her studio was but two hours away -who knew!-from where I live in Massachusetts and so my spiritself whispered sweet nothings in my ear, asking for some time in my life as well. I had all the reasons that the pressures of too-much-to-do-in-too-little-time can argue for, and I have learned over the years that taking time for what calls out within me, softly yet earnestly, never becomes a regret of mine. So, I packed up our puppy and played hooky from my shoulds of the day. I brought along my iPod to be able to play my music while driving (those of you who have/had teenagers know how rarely you get to play your own music uncontested). It felt good to be longdistance driving as it is one of my ways to meditate, perhaps because while my chatty-cathy mind is busy driving, my softer-voiced mind becomes more easily heard and felt by me. The town of Easthampton is reached by driving over Mt. Tom, a mini-mountain by standards other than coastal New England and beautiful to drive over with its steep road up and down the edge of the mountain and the town so very small below. I picked up the lamp, met an artist who I have appreciated for years. As we compared notes on the music our daughters loved to listen to, I felt at home and at ease, even though I had just met this women/artist and had driven to this town for the first time.
I felt at home through the choice to honor and now enjoy, what I needed in the midst of my very busy and responsible life ....an adventure that touched my heart and soul. So what does this tale of playing hooky from my to-do list have to do with divinity? Simple... that divinity is found not only in the cathedrals and temples ancient, it is also found in the mountains and meetings local, in the spontaneous choice to create an adventure out of an errand versus simply checking it off my to-do list. Divinity is honoring our spirit and soul's need for breathing room and expression in our daily lives, even if the taskmasters of logic and duty tsk-tsk us for doing so. Divinity is not a place we go to; she is found in the "how" of our daily routines, in our choice to not become so unconscious in our to-do list that we forget that what we do/get done is not who we truly are or what the gift of a life human is about. All beings who live on this earth these days have chosen the courageous act of living divinity through the duties, trials and ecstasy of our daily humanity. Our times are asking that we are all living our divinity even more through living our humanity. No longer is the sacred split off from the secular...we are being asked to honor the sacred in the daily and in the daily, the sacred. To do so is to become even more clear that there are no small acts, simply those that we bring our awareness to and those we do not. And so, in this time of changing norms and direction, perhaps in playing hooky from your logic and to-do list in order to honor the whisper of the voice of an adventure and the mysterious, you are simply honoring the divine in your humanity...and that is go(0)d.

Intentions and Affirmations by Shauna Arthurs Have you ever had an intention that didn’t really go anywhere? Perhaps you’ve repeated affirmations and concluded they were useless? Today we will explore the potential of intentions and affirmations, discover the connection between them and discuss how to use both in a synergistic manner to accomplish your goals. While widely talked about in personal growth circles, like any tool or technique these are powerful and effective when used well; when attempted half-heartedly or without the appropriate inner work they can be sources of frustration rather than elation.
Intentions First, we must be clear about one thing: intentions are not hopes, wishes or dreams. Intentions, as we discuss them here, are choices you make about things you want to accomplish. When you wish to be rich someday or dream about a slimmer, healthier body, you are living in dreamland; these are not intentions. Intentions are specific, decision-driven thoughts about what you desire and intend, and they become your source of action – they are catalysts for change.
Affirmations If intentions are the flame behind our drive to accomplish something, affirmations can be like the oxygen that keeps the flame lit. While affirmations can be performed in many ways, the practice has become such a cliché that the inherent power is often glossed over or misunderstood. Many people find that saying affirmations becomes an empty routine, however when you combine them in an empowering way with focused intentions, the results are astounding. Affirmations can act as sources of additional power, like a team reinforcing your intentions. In the past, if you have been excited about the potential power of affirmations only to end up disappointed, you are not alone. Often, the reason behind this is as simple as it is obvious; you were saying things that were not true for you. As author Michael Losier tells us in his book, ‘Law of Attraction,’ "A positive affirmation can have a negative vibration. Most affirmations don’t work because the Law of Attraction doesn’t respond to words – it responds to how you feel about the words you use." If you say to yourself ‘I am rich beyond my wildest dreams!!’ and it is demonstrably not true, your inner mind will most certainly rebel, and you’ll get distracted by the guilt and confusion of saying something that makes no sense to you. No wonder this doesn’t work!
The Infinite Field Magazine
page 29
Putting It All Together Success lies in how these techniques are used, and in the mindset behind them. Effective intentions and corresponding affirmations will cause you less internal conflicts and can propel you towards your dreams in an almost magical manner. When used in this harmonic way, they can be used towards the accomplishment of any goal; the more personal and well-defined, the better. Let’s imagine you have set an intention to be healthy this year. Your specific goals may include the loss of a certain amount of weight or inches, a trial of a better diet to help support you in eating better, and possibly a motivating factor such as entering a marathon in six months. Your strategies may include signing up for gym classes, hiring a personal trainer and dietician, and committing to a certain number of workouts each week, as well as cutting back on certain treats you are used to having in your daily diet. To help you achieve the goals these intentions set forth, you can create some powerful affirmations to support you. Your deep, abiding reasons for wanting to make these changes and follow through with your commitments are the starting point for progress; your affirmations can keep you moving towards those important goals. In this case, instead of saying to yourself, ‘I’m thin and healthy!’ and having your subconscious fight you (‘Ha! No You’re not!’), you can use empowering statements. Try things that make you feel great about yourself and will inspire you to live up to your highest ideals - while allowing for setbacks - such as: · I am getting healthier every day! · I make great choices. · My food is fuel that nourishes me. · I feel more vibrant with each breath and each step! · Exercise makes me feel powerful! · I am giving myself the gifts of health and energy. · I am fulfilling my wish to be healthy and happy! · I have the power to choose what I eat. · I am an example to those around me. · Each positive choice I make improves my future. · I choose to walk a new path. · I’m grateful for each day and each new opportunity to choose health. · I can feel the life force within me and I love it! Once you’ve set a clear intention and created some supportive and empowering affirmations, you may find it helpful to record them in your own voice so you can listen often. Speak them with passion, whether repeating them aloud or recording them. As mentor Tony Robbins tells us, “With enough emotional intensity and repetition, our nervous systems experience something as real, even if it hasn’t occurred yet.” Thus, combining the most realistic affirmations possible with repetition and applying them to focused goals is a powerful, effective method of achieving your grandest goals! The Power and Beauty of Intent by Dr. Jeanine Austin Life Coach for Women Worldwide www.simplydivinesolutions.com While there is the old adage, "The road to hell was paved with good intentions," I, for one, am a big fan of intent. It is true, sometimes we miss the mark or we just don't land where we would have liked to. Still the energy of honest good intent never goes completely astray. A "good faith" heart-driven action trumps an egodriven motivation, for me at least, any day! In her book, Toltec Wisdom, Sheri A. Rosenthal describes intent as "the force that life uses to move and propel everything forward in the manifest reality and to change or reorder it. [...] By expressing an exceptionally well-defined desire from the heart - with total confidence and without any conflicting thoughts from the rational mind unbending intent can make anything happen. [...] Channeling intent is not about thinking or wishing; it is a feeling that comes from deep inside us and is so overwhelming with purpose and focus that we know there is no other possibility that could conceivably manifest in reality." If we desire to manifest Divine intent in our lives, we may tap into the heart's wisdom by praying a prayer from A Course in Miracles: "Where would you have me go? What would you have me do? What would you have me say, and to whom?" My best friend Lauren Brownell's direct ancestor, suffragette Susan B. (Brownell) Anthony, intended to liberate women from an oppressive male driven government by advocating that women should have the right to vote. She never saw the passage of the 19th amendment - but we all enjoy the fruits of her intent. We might never see our intent come into physical manifestation. Still, we should know that we are always "moving molecules" (I hear my coaching clients laughing as I always press them to move those molecules/energy!). As citizens of the planet, we must pave the way for the highest good. This is a call we can't afford not to answer. To Heart Driven Intent! @->->-With Love, Dr. Jeanine

An Historical Moment in History Setting the Intention for Change The following pictures photographed by John Madsen in Memphis, TN at Anointed Temple of Praise are of Americans waiting in line to cast their vote on November 4, 2008 for the 44th President of the United States. This is an unifying moment in history as all eyes are on Barack Obama who is an African American running for President. In Memphis, the birth place of the blues and the place where Dr. Martin Luther King, Jr. was killed citizens are setting their intentions on a moment for change. 40 years after King was slain, President Barack Obama was elected 44th President of the United States of America. On January 20, 2009, the affirmation “Yes We Can! culminated in the swearing in of a President who would change the face of American History forever. Synolve Craft The Infinite Field Magazine

Living 2010 through an Emerald Mind by Luisa Ribas-Cadle Sandwiched between this year´s fireworks and the next is a Great Opportunity. You and I know it, though we may stow it beneath a sea of plans and jobs to till. Through all we do in these 365.25 days, from making tea, to teams, to trillions of dollars, the opportunity is there, to Grow toward a Life-Loving, Life-Giving world, with its people, its genius, and its world of nature intact, robust, and beautiful. What does it mean to live the year 2010 with a Green Mind? I make a cup of green tea for the pun-fun of it, an inner “ha”, and enter the field of green thought. At first, environmental facts assail me. Looking at the world seems like a hallucination, it is melting, cracking, bursting and unpredictable. I think of the environmental magazines heaped up in doctors waiting rooms, chocabloc with statistics and complaints, just like the patients, minus the drugs. My thoughts almost seem random, but they are all about energy and fuel. There are 31 years until the Antarctic Treaty is up (will we Reserve it so tycoons don’t pump it for oil?), there are new and effective Electric cars with magnetic transmission available (how many people will buy them this year? Will I see one?), there are geniuses learning to squeeze energy from waves (will there be mass production?), and the Copenhagen Lesson (abated protesters anyone?). Suddenly, I realize this is crazy; thinking green is not about knowing about being green, but being green! Can I be the change I want to see? This year? Can we all? Nature shows that the “ecosystem system” works, and the movement for us to make it there was dubbed the Green Revolution years ago, commandeered by many brilliant minds, and some more matt. All were plagued by politicians who sought to protect the ecosystem of The Budget. I called it the Grevolution, and then as I saw more albatross choke on oil and the trade winds choke on heat, I called it the Grievolution. Now, I watch my mind use the pressure, the insanities, and the consistent core value of life to go greener than it´s ever been before. It is like the core directive of Eva in the movie Wall.E, a robot whose core program was to seek and protect life on earth. The Infinite Field Magazine

With a deep breath and a glass of water I think of how we are biologically bound to the need for a healthy world, by our lungs and veins. I wonder if presidents wake in the morning, take a deep breath of air and say, “Mmmm, that’s nice, maybe we should keep it like this?” or “How do I keep it?” I wonder if the people in power are really more like protected organs too far from the skin to feel the air. The word "green" feels media-weary and I try to shake it clean, but it doesn’t feel fresh anymore. Sort of like the way the word catholic doesn’t feel right as a synonym for Love. I think about the way I live, and that Being Frugal for the sake of emotional Wealth as opposed to doing it to save money is one of the greatest gifts anyone can make to themselves. It is the rule of affirmation, when you represent your values, you get your own emerald, and so does everyone around you. It matters to live 2010 knowing the Worth of our world, and our capacity. There are greener cars, there are greener products, paints, new hybrid water heaters, new green Art projects, and we have a flexible mind we can train to save water and shop ethically; it does add up. I am inspired - I feel that small moments will be abundant. It suddenly occurs to me to make a Green Party (no pun defended), with generators and crazy environmental snacks/drinks. My mind has strayed and my tea has gone cold, but it seems to have been worth it: I feel ready and green for 2010. There is no time to complain and everything to do and be. As Vicente Ferrer said, “In the darkness, better to light a candle than curse the dark.” My meditation brings its final fruit: To have a Green Mind in 2010 also suggests a sense of having a Beginners Mind in this coming year. To also remain as new, open, receptive to the unknown, and willing to go forth to learn. It will show through the small acts as well as the great. Let 2010 be a genuine start, feel the leaf push through the snows of “yeah well maybe”, and give us a “Yes!”. Here´s a toast to your many toasts to be, “May your Fresh Starts all be green, and your Fruit be Many!!” Happy 2010.

The Cycle of Life by Minister Valerie Love
Arcturus, one of the guides I love asking questions of, shared a message with me about the fallout of the financial markets. I thought I'd share with you what came through.
Valerie: As I see the financial markets continue to crumble, I come to a better understanding of your teaching that all systems which do not benefit the whole, and Earth Mother, cannot stand. Arcturus: Yes. There will be more. Destruction and crumbling are necessary precursors to a rebirth, which is creating anew. You have experienced this in your human time years ago as the financial markets were forming. There was greed and fear, just as there is now, only in varying demonstrations. Then you remedied and rebuilt your financial markets through laws and regulations that, it was hoped, would get the participants and facilitators of the commercial systems to act according to a higher standard. It was the remedy for the day. As you continue to expand and grow as a race, you outgrow old human-made laws and regulations. As your consciousness shifts and expands, the old becomes obsolete and because it was the parameter you were operating in, it breaks as you burst out of it. It is akin to an earthquake. When the pressure and heat cannot be contained, it erupts. The movement and shifting of Mother Earth causes what seems to be catastrophe, disaster and destruction. It is not as dismal as you may think. Mother, under the surface of the Earth's crust, is continuously
shifting, moving, humming and vibrating, truly for the sustenance of life on your planet. Your very life is sustained, by the dynamic action of your Mother and countless other dynamic forces. Your commercial systems are experiencing upheaval, an earthquake, brought on by the dynamic shifting of human consciousness, which is dynamically creating a new reality. Your growth and expansion necessitates and causes change. The systems that were built upon your consciousness of yesteryear must crumble in the face of today's knowing. You are on an epic evolutionary journey, not very different in scope and radical completeness from the evolutionary leap which facilitated the advancement of consciousness from primate to human. This evolutionary leap is radical, all-encompassing and complete. It leaves no stone unturned, as you say.
The Infinite Field Magazine
page 38
Mind you, there is no outside destroyer of your world or anything in it. There is no death knell meted out by a feared or fearful super-god. No, much to the contrary, your systems implode. The fear, greed and illusory error thinking cannot stand, and so any and all monuments that have these as causative—or operating—agents cannot stand. They will implode. And the implosion begins within the system itself. There are those that your race will single out and point a finger at and say, "You are guilty of x, y and z. You are the reason we are in this mess, and so we will punish you." Understand that these ones, whom you will single out for blame, because you think some one must be the blame for all of this, are not the cause of the implosion, nor could they be. The system itself is based on untruth, so the system cannot stand. Those operating within the system, the ones operating from a consciousness of fear and greed, only hasten the implosion, they do not cause it. They are simply catalysts, necessary for the system to be exposed for what it is and decimated in order to make way for a new creation. You have seen this many times on your planet; it is a cycle. The cycle of life. Build—implode—rebuild. Create—destruction— recreation. Birth—death—rebirth. This is an ever progressing infinite spiral, ever spiraling upward; Life is ever growing, ever outgrowing and breaking free of the prisons of yesterday's understanding. Always spiraling upward, infinitely. Forever and ever progressing, expanding, growing and advancing. Such is taking place more and more rapidly as your human senses would perceive it. Yet, things are not moving any faster than they did before this day. There is simply a higher vibration that you have accessed now which appears, in the world of effects, to make things speedier. It is simply a higher vibration—many higher vibrations—that you are accessing now in the upward spiral which carries you all back home, back to God. Welcome home children. Welcome home. Amen. Valerie: Thank you!

Breaking the Chain
It doesn’t matter where we’re from or where we are right now, we all know someone who, no matter how hard they work or how many times they change jobs or careers, just can’t seem to break above that level of just getting by. They are unable to break the financial chain that is holding them captive and keep them from living their dreams. They can’t seem to ever get ahead, always in that cycle of the day to day, week to week, and month to month fight of staying just above, drowning in the sea of debt, unhappiness, frustration, and despair. We see those persons living their lives in the same way their parents did or currently doing things. We see our young men who didn’t have a father in their lives, walk away from their own children and teenage girls who were born to teenage mothers now having children of their own. We see generation after generation remain on the up and down roller coaster life of the generation before them. Too many of us walk through this life as victims of our past.
By Edward Williams
It's up to us and us alone to break the chain of mediocrity, average, and ordinary. The chain of mediocrity must be broken. At some time, by someone, this chain must break. Why not you and why not now?
The Infinite Field Magazine
page 40
In order to break the chain, we first must change our thought patterns, our beliefs, and improve ourselves. There are five practical steps you need to practice daily to break this chain: •Believe In Yourself. It's not what others call you, but what you answer to that gives you your identity. Believing in yourself is the most important thing you must do to accomplish anything in life. You must trust in your own ability. It is absolutely essential to guard and renew your mind because anywhere you intend to go in life your mind most go first. •Discover Your T.A.G. (Talents, Abilities, and Gifts) It's quite simple no one can do what you do, the way you do it. Only you have your talents, abilities, and gifts and NO One but you can share them. No matter how many singer are out there no one has your voice or the music inside you. You are an original, one of the kind; there was no one like you ever before and there will be ever again. We need you to discover and share the T.A.G. you were sent here with. •
You must have a Vision. You need to have a vision and sometimes lose your sight. Your vision shows you where you can go in life, your sight only shows you where you are. You need a bigger picture of your life. Believe in your vision even when others don't. Your Vision was given to you, not them and only you can make it a reality.
•
Set and Achieve Goals. Quite simply if you have no where to go, you are already there. In order to break the chain, you must set goals for your life and then achieve them! Setting goals is a job within itself; you must first know what you want in order to plan how to get it than you must work to achieve those goals. There is a old saying, "Plan your work, than work your plan".
•
Take Action. Nothing will just happen because you want it to - you have to make it happen. All the talent and ability in the world means nothing unless you develop and use them. You must push yourself into action, don't wait for things to get better, you must start where ever you are with whatever you have. When you believe in yourself enough to take action on a better life, a better life you will have.
The Chain of mediocrity, average and ordinary must be broken by someone, at some time! WELL, THE SOMEONE IS YOU AND THE TIME IS NOW! Use your gifts and talents to break to chain of mediocrity.

Minute Meditation Vision Board Meditation
By Susan Marek It takes only a minute to read and breathe.
This meditation may be used at any time to assist you in creating a mind-based vision board. I encourage you to first call on your angels and guides to be at hand and to provide a comfortable, loving presence during your meditation You may also find it helpful to record these words in your own voice and play it back during meditation. I recommend you perform this meditation sitting comfortably on the floor or in a chair.
As we begin a new year, it is tradition to make resolutions toward self-improvement. Instead of resolving to change things, create your own vision of how things WILL be, which comes from a higher vibration. In this meditation, you are using your mind as a vision board. Creating a vision in your head can be more powerful than on paper. It allows your dreams to be empowered in the very place where they first begin to manifest - your mind. Close your eyes. Rest your hands gently on your lap in a comfortable position. Take a deep breath. Inhale through your nose, letting the breath flow easily and effortlessly into your lungs. Exhale slowly, allowing your breath to gently flow upward and out through your mouth. Relax deeper into yourself as you take another breath, again letting it effortlessly flow in through your nose and out through your mouth.

Minute Meditation By Susan Marek It takes only a minute to read and breathe.
Visualize a blank, white board. On this board, you will be placing your ideas and dreams about your future. YOU are a co-creator in your life and are empowered by Spirit to manifest what you desire. Begin by placing pictures and words of what you would like to manifest in your life - a new home, car, clothing, etc.- on your board. Move them around, rearrange them in a way that makes sense and is pleasing to you. There is no limit to the amount of things you can place. Because this is your special board, explore using threedimensional objects. You can make them as detailed as you would like. Now visualize a vacation you would like to take. Where would you go? What would you pack? How are you getting there? What will you do and see? Place a movie of that vacation on your board. Now that you have created your board, mentally ask your angels and guides for something to place on your vision board. "Dear Angels and Guides, please place an an item related to ___________________ (abundance, vacation, a new home, etc.) on my vision board. I ask for something that is for my highest and best good. Thank you for your guidance and assistance." This item is now on your board. What is it? Is there any guidance they are offering you in regards to this object? Your board is now complete, but may be changed or added to at any time. When you are ready, take a deep breath and feel the energy flowing through your body as you gently come back into the room and continue with your day, fully energized and refreshed. Enjoy!

any people underestimate the power of intention. As you go through the motions of a typical day, you may feel discouraged, overwhelmed, or disenchanted. Are you feeling like you repeatedly experiencing the same patterns, feeling emotionally overwhelmed, or like you are stuck in a rut? The power of intention and affirmation can change everything now. What if you come to realize that all unfolding experiences do not have to shake you up or get your goat? What if you choose to remember how to shift your thoughts, to focus only on intending a truly amazing life? It is as simple as choosing to change your thoughts, being consistent, and knowing it is. This alters your perception and transforms your existence.

You may relate to the experience of moving, where events that unfold are anything but smooth sailing. People plan to pack and move on a schedule, but things do not always turn out that way. You may not realize that obstacles or related discomfort is always a wake-up call. Every moment, everyone is being tested. You either answer the call or resist and struggle. Come what may, you can decide apparent foibles do not matter. You can choose to laugh and surmount them. When something seems to go wrong, what if it really goes right? The power of intention reminds you that how you choose to perceive a given situation determines the nature of your experience. You choose to deepen self-love, acceptance and equilibrium, or reinforce fear, frustration, and rejection. You choose to believe in your inner tools, tap into the harmony and serenity, and get rid of what no longer works for you or not.
The Infinite Field Magazine
page 45
Revelations help you sense everything is meaningful. You can intend to experience situations that help you. You may decide events are not meant to unfold as you initially predicted. Challenges are actually good for you. Rain enables flowers to grow even if it adds a curve ball to your move. When the cleaners do not show up as scheduled, you can view this as an opportunity to expand your compassion and understanding. Remind yourself that the world does not revolve around you, but your thoughts and intentions. If everyone seems to want something from you just when other deadlines are approaching, if the phone does not stop, you do not have to answer it. You can choose to view this as a distraction or not. Sense every moment as an opportunity to sense something good. What matters is the good you do for yourself and others. You are evolving to master your soul. This means if you align with intention, perspective widens. As your mind and thoughts are focused on what you are looking at, to align with the present is easy. It eliminates worry. Just as each person has free will, they can experience abundance or lack. You have the choice to project negative outcomes or something else. Ask when you have been conditioned to live by other people's standards. To be aware of how you think and feel in the same moment you are thinking and feeling gives you tremendous power. Whatever you choose, you are creating it. As you begin to understand the law of attraction, you realize that you invite not what you want but what you are. To stay in the moment, do the best you can now, then the rest can take care of itself. This revelation is life-transforming. When you give something more power than you believe you have, you forget that you are in actuality giving away your own individual power and control. Every moment, you gain insight into what you are and attract that to you in the form of people as if they are a mirror. Regardless of what you experience in life, you always get what you ask for. Everything exists right when you need it where you are. You are gradually beginning to grasp the idea of cause and effect through experience. To be more conscious and aware reminds you of your untapped, inner power. To know yourself is to be willing to create the experiences necessary to challenge and stretch you so that you grow. The essence of where you are on your journey presents itself in your lessons and experiences. As you grow more observant of your own body, mind and spirit, you begin to sense what result will follow your action before that unfolds. You are a wise being in the process of empowering yourself in amazing ways. Do you control your mind or does it control you? As you answer this question, you begin to better understand why you are where you are and who you attract into your life. Everything you sense is a kind of reflection of you. Ultimately, every person is in implicit control of what is unfolding in their lives. Know what you want. Detach from time. Your life shows you what you attract. Open your senses. Look in the mirror. Remember your choices. You affirm how you feel not only in words, but in the choices you make and everything you invite. What do you choose to invite into your life now?

Dr. Stephen Marcus - The Beauty of Intentions Intention is a deliberate act of will in which we declare and commit ourselves to a new state in the universe. It does not need to be practical or even possible with our current knowledge. It does have to be something we can either believe in, or suspend our disbelief in order to allow it to come into existence. ~Dr. Stephen Marcus If you are on Facebook or Twitter, most likely you've run across a tweet or two from someone setting an intention on Mbono.net which is a free twtter-like social media network intended for people to share their intentions, gratitude moments, miracles and much more in 140 characters or less. Much like twitter and facebook, people join Mbono.net to connect with likeminded people, share messages of love and light, and become renewed, invigorated and refreshed from the inspirational content that fills the pages in a "tweetlike" conversational style. Once you join and share, your conversation is automatically linked to twitter and your intentions are shared at lightening speed filling the world with goodness. It really is a beautiful thing to watch people who live in a world that often filled with so much trauma and pain find a space, like Mbono.net, to dream and set an intention to not only change the world, but change themselves. Twenty-four hours a day, Mbono.net offers a sacred space in a bustling social media environment which a beacon of light while bringing together people who greatest desire is to bring peace, love and harmony to themselves and the world around them. This community while on line has far reaching implications about how we can connect with each other to find inspiration in the comfort of our own home with the mere click of a keyboard or mouse. Just 20 years ago, who would have thought people like
Dr. Stephen Marcus would be forging new worlds and bridging the gaps between language, oceans, and cultures in cyberspace that would be as illuminating and enlightening as Mbono.net? And what sort of genius would one need to be in order to create such an fascinating concept? Creativity & Innovation: Dr. Stephen Marcus Wherever Dr. Stephen Marcus goes, innovation and creativity are sure to follow. He received a PhD. in Experimental Psychology from Cambridge University, England in 1977 and did extensive work in voice recognition. For 10 years, Dr. Marcus researched human speech perception while working as a University Lecturer at the Institute for Perception Research at Eindhoven University of Technology in the Netherlands. He was also the contact person for the Findhorn Community, an experiment in conscious living, an education centre, and an ecovillage and spiritual community in the Netherlands. Dr. Marcus founded the One Earth Netherland Foundation, supporting and networking with various educational groups and organizations. Embarking on a new journey of creativity in 1986, he joined AT&T Bell Labs Research in Murray Hill, New Jersey, working on ground breaking technology which today are common place such as human and computer speech recognition, computer speech synthesis and their application in the telephone network where people could call in, ask questions, and get an intelligent response. A man of intense genius and brilliance, Dr. Marcus is the recipient of 8 US patents. From 1998 to 2001, he was Vice President of Technology at International Asset Systems in San Francisco developing Internet solutions to reduce wasteful and unnecessary transportation of empty containers in the container shipping industry. While Dr. Marcus was studying and working, he had a series of spiritual awakenings and a feeling of connection with spirituality. It was in 2001, when he began stepping back and wondering what was next in his life and he met Barbara Kroll who 15 years later would become his wife. The Infinite Field Magazine
page 47
The Magic of Life: The I AM When he was just a small child, Dr. Marcus began contemplating the mysteries of life like the great scientists and Greek philosophers had gone before him. He would sit and wonder, "Who is the I AM that is me." From that day forward to this very day, Dr. Marcus' life has been full of miracles and the magic of intentions. One powerful story of intentions is how he met his wife Barbara Kroll. The two first met in 1984 high in the Swiss Alps at a spiritual gathering for the Findhorn community. After loosing touch for almost 15 years, he ran across a photo of Barbara. He was wondering what were the next steps for his life and at that moment, he set the intention to find her. Just on a whim, he decided he would look through the phone book. While flipping through the phone book, he found over 30 entries with her name. Nevertheless, Dr. Marcus decided to call a couple. On the first call, Barbara answered the phone and immediately said, "Hi, Stephen." During this conversation, Barbara shared with Dr. Marcus that she was preparing to go on a trip to Machu Picchu, a sacred mountain in Peru, with the Lindwall Foundation, and asked Dr. Marcus to come along. He says he heard a loud voice from deep within him saying, "Go!" So they met again fell in love on another holy mountain. Since 2001, he has been traveling and working with clairvoyant healer Dr E.E. (Isa) Lindwall and his wife Yolanda and the Lindwall Foundation, playing a strong leadership role in bringing Releasing through the Freedom Through Releasing Limiting Memories from the Past Process to disadvantaged communities from Peru to townships in South Africa. The Freedom Through Releasing program uses affirmations such as "I release my limiting beliefs and feelings." He witnessed the benefits that spiritual work can have on people who are even in the poorest of environments and circumstances.
Founding Mbono.net: The Power of Intentions Once Dr. Marcus came back from this trip, he felt strongly guided to begin a company called Mbono.net (http://mbono.net) Mbono means vision in the language of the Xhosa people of South Africa. The Xhosa's are an fiercely strong and inspirational people who have given birth to a number of notable visionaries and inspiring leaders for this planet, including Nelson Mandela, Desmond Tutu and the late Miriam Makeba, whose voices each touched so many people in different ways. Dr. Marcus had the desire to create a portal through social media for people to formulate statements about what they would like to see created in the world. Mbono.net is linked to Twitter and allows people send status updates in the form of GOOD Intentions in five categories which allow you to do a vision board, prayer request, and set an intention that goes straight the the universe. Mbono.net is a very "real" way to manifest everything you desire using social media. The first four categories work like a virtual vision board which is written in 140 characters of less and the fifth to report your miraculous results:

Imagine - a space for sharing your visions and dreams where you can imagine anything. It doesn't have to be realistic and you don't even really have to believe that it will come true. Intend - a space to declare your intention, the new positive state you already see, feel and are committed to existing as a reality in your life.

Gratitude - a place to give thanks for all that you have in your life now and not for what you will have. This is a space to be grateful what you have right now at this very moment.

Release - a place for releasing that which no longer serves, giving room for new creation. This is actually a special sort of Intention, one which is very important and often overlooked part of the creative process. Release and let go of the attachment. Let go of anything that is blocking your path or keeping you from receiving all of the goodness your heart can hold. Let it go. Let it fly free.

AFFIRMATIVE PRAYER II
Just as in Part I of "Affirmative Prayer," if you don’t have time to fully read this with no distractions, I ask you to close this and read it later. For full impact, it deserves to be read and digested completely. In every prayer there must be a believability factor. In Part II, we will explore what this factor is and how to achieve it. The second affirmative prayer is powerful; it is an affirmation of something you already know on a spiritual level but many times have trouble really believing. Once again, it is short and cuts to the chase. These six words should be said whenever you desire to feel the presence of the universal creator draw near. The second affirmative prayer is …
“God, I know you love me.” I realize some of you may stumble over this because you who simply don’t believe that God can love you or that God loves only the perfect people more than you. Newsflash! There is no perfect person. This is an absolute truth. Now, that we have that out of the way, understand that God does love you completely with every flaw and issue you may have. Because we have a tendency to think of God as a singular being with arms and legs and a white beard up in the sky somewhere, we wonder how God’s attention and presence could be with us every second of our lives. Can God be with millions of people at the same time? The answer is yes. God is far reaching and infinite. All of the affirmative prayers that I will be teaching you are said in the present tense. It is important that you remember this. Even if you don’t believe it at the time, SAY IT ANYWAY!
The Infinite Field Magazine
page 50
“God, I know you love me.” God’s energy and presence flows through us all. Yes, even the least of us and the most flawed are loved by God. The very person you judge as horrible and believe should never have been born is loved by God. Every blade of grass is blessed by God. Those pesky deer that nibble at your garden are loved by God. That neighbor that you wish would disappear is loved by God. Every person in the grip of some kind of addiction is loved by God. Every person who's ever lied to you or betrayed you is loved by God. Every person suffering from a grave illness is loved by God. If you have a simple headache, even then, you are loved by God. If you are depressed and feel all alone, you are not alone! If you have cursed God and turned your back when you were traumatized and suffering, God is still there and loved you even then.
There is never a time that God does not love you! I repeat there is never a time that God does not love you! It is way past time that you finally get this. You are being compelled to see and know thyself as the spiritual being that you are. Some people tell me that they feel uncomfortable when they pray especially if it has been a long time. These short affirmative prayers are in fact statements and instantly get you back to where you need to be. Even if you think God could not possibly love you, say it anyway. Soon, you will start to feel the truth of this statement in your heart and soul. It's true. God does love you. Now, get busy and just say it. “God, I know you love me!” Have you ever loved someone and they didn’t believe you? It is very frustrating to love someone with all of your heart and they just don’t believe you could love them that much. They see all their flaws and imperfections and consider themselves unworthy of your love. You, on the other hand, see them in a different way altogether. If they could just see themselves as you see them. If they only knew about all their good qualities, gifts and talents that are so apparent to you. It makes you feel a little crazy that as you lift them up they tear themselves down just as quick. The good thing is that with God is infinite patience, infinite love, and guidance in every moment. Square those shoulders back, lift up that chin, and dry your tears because God does love you! It is time you knew it too!

David Breslow Regret; I know I Should have…
Regret: I Know I Should Have
I should have, I should have, I should have. Have you ever said that to yourself? I should have made a different decision; I should have been more honest; I should have said, “No"; I should have listened better. I should have been kinder or more understanding…. There are whole bunch of “I should have’s” aren’t there? Here’s something to consider. Believe it or not: You “should have” done exactly what you did. I know that statement is hard to believe…especially when you look back at something that didn’t go well but… When you really look at it, what you did at the time was exactly what you should have done — even if you now know you “should” have done something differently! Still not making sense? Think about it: how could you have done anything differently than what you did? You can say you “know” better now, but you still did what you did at that time, didn’t you? Yes, you did. So why, looking back at it now - in retrospect - do you think its “okay” to think that you should have done something differently? You can do something differently NEXT TIME if you want, but you can’t do what you did AT THAT TIME differently, so why waste your energy thinking that you should have done it differently? What a waste of your time! Here’s a truth I’d like you to consider… Are you listening? Are you really listening without being distracted right now? Put your normal filters and assumptions aside for a moment and really listen, that’s all I ask. The Infinite Field Magazine
page 52
David Breslow Here’s the deal: You will only do what you are capable of doing at any moment in time That’s it. This means that whether you think you “should have” done something different or that you “knew better”…the truth was…AT THAT TIME…you did what you were capable of doing AT THAT TIME…otherwise YOU WOULD HAVE DONE SOMETHING ELSE! Are you with me? You can argue and rationalize all you want about how “right” you are - in retrospect, of course - about how you knew better and should have done this or that, but the truth remains rock solid (which is why I like talking about and teaching it). I’ll repeat the truth again: AT ANY GIVEN TIME…YOU ARE DOING WHAT YOU ARE CAPABLE OF DOING…AT THAT GIVEN MOMENT IN TIME. Does this mean you aren’t capable of doing something better or different NEXT TIME? NO, NO, NO, NO, NO! It does not mean that AT ALL. It only means that AT THAT TIME - what you actually did - was exactly what you were capable of doing at that time. And the proof is simple. Ready? The proof is: YOU DID WHAT YOU DID! Ugh. I know it’s difficult for some to accept this because they still want to convince themselves (and others) that they “should” have done something different. But even if you try to rationalize it, it doesn’t make that truth any less true. You don’t have to accept gravity if you don’t want to either…but it doesn’t bother gravity one bit that you don’t accept it, gravity will still function quite beautifully either way! Maybe you can stop wasting your time with the “I should have” and move on to the “I will do”. Do you think you SHOULD?

Three Steps to a New Beginning
Rev. Alan A. Rowbotham Some years ago while searching for a spiritual solution on how to make a new beginning, I found what I considered to be clear-cut instructions on how to begin again and take a new hold on life through three simple steps. They are not difficult to follow, and you need not hesitate to apply them to yourself. The instructions are based on the twenty-first chapter of the Gospel of John, verses 1-6. This passage tells how the disciples had gone fishing but failed to make a single catch. At the end of a long night of fishing with the coming of daylight, they turned toward the shore, tired and discouraged. Looking up, they saw Jesus standing on the shore. When the crestfallen disciples told Jesus of their failure, he suggested they try once more: “Cast your net on the right side of the boat, and you will find some.” So they did this, and “they were not able to haul it in, for the quantity of fish.” This old story points out to us today something of great importance: that even as there was a right side to the fishing boat, there is also a right side to life itself. In plain terms, we may be very near our good, much nearer than we realize. But in spite of our efforts, this good may fail to materialize – not because it isn’t at hand but because of our limited perspective. The Bible story indicates three simple, practical steps:
Pause in Your Efforts First, pause in your efforts, if only for a moment. In so doing, get your thinking rightly adjusted. Remember the disciples: “We toiled all night and took nothing!” Have you ever “toiled all night”? Maybe you, too, have been striving and struggling. A pause will help you to gain the right perspective of life, to head in the right direction.
Look Up! The second step is to look up! When the disciples were so concerned with their failure, they could see nothing but their failure. Yet the moment they lifted their eyes, they saw Jesus. With the sight of him came fresh hope. Lift your eyes, not just in a physical sense, but lift up your consciousness and your thoughts to higher levels. Use what I call spiritual logic; start from the principle that you are one with God. For instance, if you are facing a difficult situation and are uncertain what to do next, declare for yourself, “I am one with the divine process that guides, directs and upholds me. My way is made clear and all is well.” The Infinite Field Magazine
page 54
Or perhaps there is a health problem. Pause in your efforts, be still, lift up your thoughts to a higher level, and then affirm, “One with God, I am strengthened, renewed, restored and made whole in every way.” Or maybe you are struggling against lack and limitation. Declare with courage and strong faith, “I am inspired, prospered and blessed with God’s abundance in all my affairs.” As you lift your thoughts in this way, you will find divine ideas flowing in and through you, inspiring you and prospering you.
Take Action The third step is to “cast your net on the right side.” Take action based upon the inner guidance you receive. As you feel the motivation from within, go forward with confidence and courage and with the knowledge that you are being divinely guided. Act upon the guidance and inspiration you receive. There are times when we may find ourselves facing the perils of the unknown, when it all looks pretty bleak out there. When I was a young boy growing up in England during World War II, my mother was fond of reminding me of an address made to the world by King George VI in the early days of the war. He quoted a poem by Louise Haskins, which goes like this: “And I said to the man who stood at the gate of the year, ‘Give me a light that I may tread safely into the unknown.’ And he replied, ‘Go out into the darkness, and put your hand into the hand of God. That shall be to you better than light, and safer than a known way.” This is what I would call the practice of the presence of God, the conscious sense of being in God’s presence wherever you are. It is better than light, safer than a known way. With your hand in God’s, you can begin again, confident in God’s unfolding good as you go forward into the unknown. God is Blessing You, Right Now! Emotions of a Home: Feng Shui by Janice Schneider Girgenti The home is a place where we hang our hat and take respite from the all too often fast-paced reality of life. It is a sacred space that is meant to support, inspire and nurture the individuals that reside there. Home is an environment that permits personal journeys to begin and allows a rest stop along the path through life. The flow of a home’s energy, or chi, will affect the emotional well-being of the residents. This, in turn, effects how an individual moves through their daily activities - whether it’s energetically, lackadaisically, focused, etc. When there is conflict among the members of the household or within the individuals themselves, they will often times find an imbalance in the environment that either created the discord or at the very least perpetuates it. Feng Shui observations pinpoint the areas of blocked energy flow that are stagnant and creating distress in the inhabitants. This causes remarkable subconscious changes and imbalances that can be noted in altered behavior, personality and even manifest in physical dis-ease. Creating harmony and balance in one’s home will ensure the emotional well-being of those that live in the space. It is a vital element in choosing a home, as well as furniture placement, wall color, window treatments, accessories, textile choices, flooring and more. It becomes quite relative when building a home as the number of doors and windows and their placement are known to have impact on the inhabitants, including their actions. A firm feng shui belief is that the ratio of doors to windows will have great influence on the control issues that may present themselves between parents and children. Most people do not become aware of feng shui and the subtle energy of the art until there is a perceived change in the mental, spiritual or physical well-being of a home dweller. Feng Shui practice permits us to look at a space and make adjustments prior to issues appearing and can also be made to alter the space as changes in family, furnishings and other facets of life shift. It is a must to secure balance in the space over the course of time.
The Infinite Field Magazine
page 56
Traditional feng shui cures add a lot of dimension to the energy of the space. Wind chimes, crystals, flutes, water features, plants or others are strategically placed to encourage a positive energy flow throughout the home. For example, a home that may be in the path of a negative flow of energy like busy roadways, nasty neighbors or high tension wires would find the environment unsettling, agitating and even unhealthy over periods of time. Without the use of cures, these effects come wafting into the house each time the door is opened. Wind chimes are often used to shift negative energy that may enter a home to be less stressful. Water is traditionally made use of to motivate encouraging energy to a space that might require stimulation. It is used to stimulate the career and money aspects of a person’s life.
Slow, stagnant energy is not the only culprit for emotional distress in a space. Occasionally energy will move too fast through a room causing irritations to those in its path. The arrangement of furniture, accessories and cures can easily remedy the situation and create a more settled flow of energy through the environment. This will decrease the added tension of fast moving chi. Lastly, it is highly recommended that one space be designated for complete solitude. This sacred alter may be a tabletop or a whole room that anyone can stop by and be reminded that a peaceful existence is the key. It may be a place to go to during upsetting moments, to reclaim personal balance, to read or spend some time in prayer or meditation. All in all, a trained feng shui eye can detect these subtle energy flows and make suggested adjustments to bring the peace and harmony back into your home. Energy and its flow has a subconscious yet direct impact of inhabitants of a space. Feng Shui will not only make an impact on the beauty of the space and how it “feels”, but will ensure quality surrounding for those that live there creating a happy, healthy environment for you and your loved ones.

Forget Your Weight
Why you should resolve to be creative this year By Jan Bowers Turn on the television, page through a magazine, or phone a friend, and chances are good that you will hear from someone vowing to make big changes in the year ahead. The most common “new year’s resolution is one that relates to weight and body shape; resolutions related to financial management are close behind. Apparently, Americans still believe that you never can be too thin or too rich, no matter what time of year it is. While there is nothing inherently negative about either of these goals, there are real benefits to widening the scope of your hopes. We set resolutions in January, a winter month in which humans, like other animals, are driven to hibernate and slow down. Resolving to shed our winter weight while it is still winter means working against the powers of habit and biology. Why not wait until the spring when we are wired to lose weight, the weather supports our initiatives to add more activity to our lives, and our minds crave light and fresh air? Setting a goal that is fundamentally at odds with the rhythms and cycles of the body is a waste of time at best and a disheartening recipe for lasting failure at worst.
The Infinite Field Magazine
page 60
To make the most of a new year and clean slate, look away from the mirror and vow instead to be creative. Resolving to be creative means devoting yourself to feeling, thinking and acting a certain way with tangible output. In this case, the output is anything that did not exist before you created it – will your creation be a painting, photograph or poem, or perhaps a piece of jewelry, quilt or abundant garden? Will you resolve to learn a single genre in-depth or dabble in many to make this a year of exploration? Resolving to be creative requires as much planning and effort as losing weight or pinching pennies. Setting yourself up for success by crafting an attainable, specific goal with a concise timeline can be difficult, especially when the goal is rooted in emotions and passion. Be sure to set aside time to consider your resolution from practical angles. For example, this year I resolve to finish my first book, an exploration of spirit and spirituality in Alaska. Does this mean that I need to make more trips to Alaska; if so, what time of year would yield the best adventure, where should I visit, and how much money should I budget? Do I need to spend more time in the local libraries conducting research? Should I attend classes to hone my skills, or join a writing group to help keep me on track when other demands try to pull me away from my writing? These swirling questions can soon become overwhelming. Like any other initiative, break down your goal into small, manageable pieces to enhance your chance of fulfillment. I set monthly goals, then weekly goals. To finish my book, for instance, I will set the intention to complete 50 good pages per month, to identify at least three new outlets for publication each month and to attend one event that helps me meet other writers and stay motivated. This means that every week, I need to complete approximately 12 pages. When I sit down to plan, I need to decide how, when and where I will write, how much time I will dedicate to creating and how much time to polishing that creation to ensure that I meet my yearly objective. Resolving to create is not as simple or straightforward as resolving to kick a bad habit or save more money. The effort, however, is well worth it, and the process is where we all can find abundance and unexpected joy.

SETTING YOUR INTENTIONS Last month, the NCAA gave out the Heisman Trophy. The Heisman Trophy recognizes a college football player's performance for being outstanding. This is not a small task. In everything that we do, we should try to do our best. Some would say that we should also do it with excellence. Webster defines excellence as “the quality of being outstanding or extremely good” and integrity as “the quality of being honest and having strong moral principles.” It is safe to say that if you win the Heisman you have some special qualities. Winning the Heisman is just like achieving any success in life you wish to achieve. You have to set intentions. You have to create excellence and integrity within yourself. This will allow you to have a foundation of intentions that are based on some good principles. In 2009, Mark Ingram won the Heisman. Mark is the RB for the University of Alabama. He has rushed 249 times for 1,542 yards (6.2 yards per carry) with 15 touchdowns while catching 30 passes for 322 yards and an additional 3 touchdowns. His rushing total established a single season record at Alabama. Mark achieved excellence in his performance. Mark also showed integrity in his education by maintaining a 3.0 GPA. This is evidence that Mark set his intentions in the right place and at the right time to achieve his goals. Another Heisman candidate for the Heisman trophy was Colt McColt. Colt McCoy is the quarterback for the Texas Longhorns. He has thrown 3,512 yards and has made 27 touchdowns this season. On January 4, he went to the Citi National Championship Bowl to play Mark Ingram (the Heisman winner) and the Alabama Crimson Tide which is a huge accomplishment. Colt McCoy has not accomplished this by staying in bed or watching tv, instead he has stayed motivated to continue practicing and getting good grades. In fact, Colt has a GPA of 3.6 which shows his integrity, commitment and his his intention to get good grades and a quality education. Other Heisman candidates like the Gators quarterback Tim Tebow (last years Heisman winner), the Stanford running back Toby Gerhart, and the Nebraska defensive tackle Ndamukong Suh worked hard on their grades and set good intentions for themselves. Each of these individuals set goals for themselves to help them achieve their goals. Their intention to be the best that they could be allowed them to win, thrive, and succeed. So, what have we learned (or what did I learn when my parents suggested I write this story)? In our quest to achieve our goals, we must set intentions based on excellence and follow them with integrity each and everyday. This is how we get the Heisman Trophy in sports and the gold medal in life! Evan Craft The Infinite Field Magazine

Playing with Life
Why You Shouldn’t Set New Year’s Resolutions…And if You Must by Jen Aly As we begin 2010, many people are setting new goals or revisiting old ones. While over half of us make New Year’s resolutions, less than 10% of those who set them actually keep them. So, before you consider setting new resolutions, start the year by forgiving yourself for all the ones you haven’t kept over your lifetime. If you are reading this article, chances are you are growth-oriented, have an active life, and may be a perfectionist (or a recovering “A” student). Do you spend your energy on being more perfect, less flawed or “better”? A big part of being happy and expressing that happiness in the world comes from self-acceptance, a feeling of self-worth and feeling loved. What if your only resolution this year is to love yourself and those around you more? That’s it. When you are gentle with yourself, you have more love to give. When you take care of you, you are supporting all of your relationships. For many of you, the idea of adding new habits to your schedule may be overwhelming anyway. What about simplifying your schedule so you have more unscheduled time? It may sound scary at first, but if you are someone who is generally busy, spaciousness can be miraculous for your well-being and for your relationships. In addition to adding more to your schedule with your resolutions, you may also berate yourself for not doing as much as you had hoped. This isn’t very much fun and only increases your stress level. These reasons - and the following three reason - are often why resolutions don’t work: 1) Your goal is too big. Out of guilt, you may try to compensate for all the years you haven’t exercised daily and commit to six hours a week. This over commitment is likely setting yourself up for failure. 2) You pressure yourself to be disciplined and your inner child (the part of you that is tired of being pushed to do more and just wants love) rebels wildly. 3) You believe you should be able to do it alone. When you choose to do it alone, you can’t see what you don’t see or know what you don’t know. So the perspective of an insightful friend, colleague or coach can help you create changes more easily. The Infinite Field Magazine
page 64
When it comes to making changes, consider this. There is a part of your brain called the amygdala. Its job is to keep you in your comfort zone. When you move outside of your comfort zone, you experience stress. The amygdala does not make any distinctions about whether you are moving outside of your comfort zone in a beneficial way or in a way that is dangerous to you. So, your amygdala may be triggered to overreact and sabotage the change you really want. With awareness of this you can keep going in the direction you choose even when it’s uncomfortable. Perhaps you are not convinced; feel having resolutions is important and keeps you motivated to make positive change. If you feel that adding new habits to your life is the way to love yourself, please follow these guidelines: 1. Set a small clear goal. If you want to get in shape, the goal could be to put your running shoes on every day. I’m serious about starting small. Begin where are you now and complete an action that is one small step in the direction you want to go in. Success breeds success. Take it from there. 2. Track what you are doing. Create a log sheet and write down what you do. It’s hard to beat yourself up for not doing enough when you can see you are making progress. 3. Enroll your partner or a friend in your new commitment and let them cheer you on. Share your accomplishments and celebrate with them. You can agree to support each other if you each have a commitment to a resolution. Try this and see how you feel next year without the guilt of quitting the diet in February or paying for a gym membership you only used for two months. Focus on one habit that creates more gentleness in your life. Pat yourself on the back for whatever progress you make. Einstein once defined insanity as, “doing the same thing over and over again and expecting different results.” So, why not try something different? Energy
Artwork by Cory Ench
Everything is energy which the essence of all things at the molecular level. As a spiritual being, you too are energy, God-energy in the mater-ial form. Lynn Grabhorn writes in her book Beyond The Twelve Steps: Roadmap to a New Life (1992) "It behooves you to remember the stuff of which you’re made, consciousness and energy. Energy, of course, is the activity of God-power, and consciousness is what moves it. Thinking of yourself as pure energy is not easy. It goes against everything you’ve ever known or believed about your reality, yet even scientists now accept that the human body is a force field of tremendous cosmic power.” Accordingly, God is pure energy and there is nothing that can exist without this fundamental substance. Merriam-Webster defines energy "a usually positive spiritual force" as in the energy flowing through all people. This energy can neither be created nor destroyed; only changing its form. The Energy or God is constant and eternal which is the same today, yesterday and forever. Basically, as energy, your atoms are charged and you vibrate at a certain rate or frequency. As energy, your body has a tone or wave that it resonates on. This is measured in hertz (Hz), which is a measure of frequency per unit of time, or the number of cycles per second. Whenever a stronger signal is being emitted into your electromagnetic field, your vibration will succumb to the stronger signal. According to general relativity, there is a relation between the energy of light and its frequency (that is, the number of waves of light per second) which says that the greater the energy, the higher the frequency. This can cause your energy to become adversely affected. This is why it so very important to be aware of the company in which you keep hence the phrase misery loves company or water seeks its own level. We attract what we are and feel most comfortable around other energetic beings that resonate on the same wave length. If your energy is low, you tend to gravitate towards those with lower frequencies. It is not to say that misery loves but rather like attracts like and therefore, misery magnetizes others that are functioning on the same wavelength. But you have the ability to raise your frequency any time you choose. It’s a process of locating the old, worn out thought patterns and beliefs that are keeping you from rising above your current condition. In doing so, you will notice a whole new level of existence that you never imagined possible. When you begin to raise your vibration, the caliber of your relationships will change, your income will increase exponentially, and a whole new world of being will unfold right before your very eyes.
The Infinite Field Magazine
page 66
Knowing this helps you to gain a better understanding of the complex mechanism that is the Atman, of your true self. As an energetic being, you possess a storehouse of energy in which to harness and manipulate for summum bonum or the greater good. You exude a magnetic pulse, as such; you are a powerful being with all of the attributes of the original Source. As your magnetism increases, so does your desire. As your desire increases, so does your flow of energy. The very nature of your existence is pure, raw, unadulterated energy. You must embrace your energy. Harness it; hone it as if it were a laser in which to dissolve the strongholds of debilitating thought and beliefs long held. You must free yourself from the exhausted, parasitic doctrines of old that only serve to invoke fear and weakness in you. You are a sleeping giant that must rise up and declare your rightful place as the powerfully energetic god or goddesses that you are. You are fashioned in the image and likeness of perpetual energy that can never be destroyed. You are eternal and when you speak and live from this truth, others will shout blasphemy, but do not hearken unto their cries for they have not yet come to terms with their own true Divinity. You are Divine energy having expression as being, through you and for you. You simply have to remember that you are pure consciousness here on Earth, feeling, expanding, and experiencing. As such, when you see yourself, you are seeing the God of all creation and as the Christ once said when you see me, you see the Father for he and I are one.

He credits his father with helping him to understand the importance of using affirmations.
I Will Live With Passion I Believe In Me I Am Destined For Greatness My Dream Is WorthThe Effort by Ken Canion

Affirmations Apparel
Ken's passion to reach people at an early age led him to coach a little league football team. During these little league games, Ken would shout out motivational phrases to the team while other coaches were merely concerned about winning the game. Ken's concern and focus was different. It was helping children to win the game of life. Ken reflects on those little leagues games explaining, "One day, I was inspired to go to the mall and buy a T-shirt that said, 'I believe in you!' My idea was not to get the kids to win games, but to get kids to believe in themselves. So I would wear the T-shirt every game and at every practice. The parents and the kids loved it!" A couple of months later, Ken started training his wife during her quest to shed a couple of pounds while getting ready for a trip to Miami using secrets that he learned and developed while on NBC's The Biggest Looser! Ever the motivator Ken incorporated the use of his own unique brand of lifechanging and mind-altering affirmations into these training sessions. His wife was extremely pleased as she began to lose weight and suggested to Ken, since the affirmations he uses as a daily part of his own routine had been such a huge impact in her life and the life of the little league team, that he should begin a line of inspirational T-shirts for the world to wear. "I wasn't convinced at first," reveals Ken. "But if I was going to do it, I wanted people to inspire themselves as opposed to me inspiring them. So I changed the affirmations around from 'I believe in you' to 'I believe in me' which gets the person involved in believing in themselves and their own individual destiny. At that moment, the wheels of ingenuity began to turn in Ken's mind and Affirmation Apparel was born. This would be a company that would put the task of motivation and inspiration back in the hands of the individual by giving them one simple tool, a T-shirt.
Affirmations unlock secret codes in the brain that are synchronistically attached to achievement and manifestation. At the core of affirmations is something called Neuro Associative Conditioning which is based on the innovative research of Dr. Milton Erickson, Dr. John, Grinder, and Richard Bandler in an effort to explain how the brain utilizes language as a mechanism to shift behavior. See, the way the brain works is that anything you repeat, the brain creates a picture of it. That picture is what the brain repeats over and over again to our conscious mind. So whatever we see in our mind, we begin to believe that which we see. Then we ultimately create and bring that picture into our reality and become "it" simply because we believe it. I always tell people whatever you say about yourself or whatever you affirm, you will believe it and then you will become it. For example, have you ever heard anyone say, 'I never win anything' and they actually never win anything because their words or affirmations has become a self-fulfilling prophesy? You condition your subconscious and then it feeds into your consciousness. So, affirmations allow you to create a picture and then you become it. In my own life, I would always tell my wife that I would speak before thousands, write books, and start amazing companies. All of these things have come true simply because I have used affirmations. Finally, my advice to anyone who would like to change their lives and begin utilizing the power of affirmations to achieve phenomenal success and to make even their most minute dream come true is this: 1. Get around people who believe in you. If you don't believe in you, get around someone that believes in you more than you believe in yourself. This might or might not be your family. Depending on your circumstances or upbringing, you may need to find people who can be a mentor or role model for you that are outside of the people you grew up with or people who are not in your immediate surroundings or environment. Remember, you have access to some of the most brilliant people in the world. How? Read a book. Get inspirational and motivational tapes. Get videos and DVDs with inspirational themes and messages. Read blogs and websites of successful people. It's up to you to try anything and everything that will allow you to hear someone positive and uplifting who is speaking to you in a way that you want to speak or think, not in a way that you speak or think right now, but in a way that you would like to think. Affirmations condition your mind. 2. Get around people who are talking and thinking the way they want to think. And if you are around them enough and truly listen enough and read enough, then eventually you will open your mind and begin to think in new, innovative, interesting and creative ways. Setting Your Sights or Vision? by Tonya Parker
a natural health practitioner and conscious cook-perhaps I could have helped him address his physical challenges. He has done well in spite of—a true model of courage and surrender.
One of my four brothers was once blind. At that time, he could see out of one eye enough to read, drive and take photographs, though he was considered disabled because of his limited sight. I’m sure he would tell you there are things that seemed clearer when he could not see the world through his eyes. An old Daily OM addressed sight versus vision. The article differentiated between the two by stating sight is the ability to see the physical world, while vision is the gift of seeing beyond it. Improving our eyesight is a good thing. That is one reason why it is optimal to eat whole/fresh/organic foods full of antioxidants; minerals like calcium, magnesium and phosphorous; vitamins A (especially when broken down as betacarotene), B (especially B3/niacin and B5/pantothenic acid), C and D. Other help comes in the form of getting sunlight, performing eye exercises and taking herbs like eyebright, goldenseal root, bayberry root bark with cayenne, and red raspberry leaf. I wish I had known about these before my brother lost his sight—as
Many of us we cannot imagine handling similar circumstances with such grace—we have difficulty letting go even temporarily when we close our eyes to pray, meditate or even sleep. However, it is during these times that we can become more in touch with our inner world through closing off the multitude of distractions from the outer world. It is in this “sightless” state that vision becomes our mode of seeing. As you enter the New Year, it may be helpful to let go of some of life’s many distractions and focus on your vision. What did not serve you in 2009? What do you want to manifest for 2010? What is your heart’s desire? What are the thoughts, feelings and behaviors you envision for yourself? With this perspective, the term “setting your sights” on something would more aptly be “setting your vision.” Take some time to access that inner vision to help you co-create with the Divine Creator the experiences you desire as you “Begin again in 2010.” New Year’s blessings to all, and a multitude of them!

Why Work From Home? It Creates a Green Workplace by Debbie Ruston When you are a successful entrepreneur working from home, a side benefit that many of us don't think of when we start is how much better for the environment it is! There are so many benefits that are obvious to entrepreneurs that choose to work from home:
- flexible work hours - you are your own boss - more time with and around family - increased income - less stress These are a few of the obvious benefits, but there are environmental benefits that many people don't realize. For example: -Since there is no commute to work, home business owners commute is typically from the kitchen to the home office;think of the gas this is saving! If you live in a winter climate this can be substantial, since cold climates require car warm up time, ice scraping, extra windshield solution, etc. - none of this is required when you work in a home office.
The Infinite Field Magazine
page 75
- You really don't need a huge wardrobe when you work from home, and you will also save on dry cleaning, so no chemicals! I can't remember the last time I had something dry cleaned! -Email, efax and instant messaging have all allowed us to use far less paper, save messages in files online and open them when required rather than printing everything off. When printing is required, using recycled paper is a great option. -The option to work outside in warm climates is something that saves a ton of energy - lights & air conditioning don't need to be turned on when you are outside working on a cordless phone. The months of May-September are typically months that I spend every day outside working from my lawn chair. Not only does this mean I don't have to turn on the lights, but what a treat to be out in the sunshine all day! It is good for the soul! -Something we often don't realize is that when you are working a typical job, most people take their lunch. When you work from home, you walk out to the kitchen, eat something fresh and don't have to use plastic bags, wrap, paper cups, etc. You can even use the same coffee cup all day, something that you wouldn't do if you had to buy your coffee from a machine or a vendor at an outside job. -In the summer months, you can also hang your laundry outside to dry rather than using the dryer. People that work a full-time job outside the home with long hours and commuting typically don't have the time to do this - it is easier and quicker to throw the clothes in the dryer. With changes to the economy, more and more people are starting to work from home, and these are all benefits to the environment that many people don't realize when they start a home business. Isn't it great to identify all of these additional benefits on top of the obvious ones?

The White Stone Ceremony is based on the biblical passage: "Let anyone who has an ear listen to what the Spirit is saying... I will give you a white stone, and on the white stone is written a new name..." (Revelation 2:17) At the core of this passage is a sense of renewal and understanding. It also symbolizes spiritual growth whereby the previous way of thinking is canceled out.
New Year, New Name by Sharonda Crome As the New Year approaches, many of us contemplate new beginnings and ask meaningful questions like: "Who am I?", "Am I doing all I want with my life?", and "Am I fully expressing my purpose?" During this time of reassessment and recommitment to the higher expression of life, we may realize that recycled solutions of the past do not serve us. So, instead of renewing the old list of things we would like to achieve or gain, we set an intention to embody an attributes that sing to our higher ideals.
Since ancient times, the white stone has carried with it powerful meanings of release and rebirth. For example, when a person was released from prison, they were given a white stone as a symbol of a clean slate. The stone was carried with them as proof for anyone to see that their debt to society had been paid and they were free. The white stone also represents the name change that one receives when an obstacle is overcome. This new name also refers to the nature or identity.
The Bible demonstrates many name changes. For example when Abram grew into spiritual awareness, he became Abraham. When Saul, whose name means "personal will", was struck with blindness for three days, he had to rely on his insight. Saul was transformed to Paul, which means "enlightened will", only after he no was no longer persecuting Christians. Other examples include Jacob to Israel and Sarai to Sarah. In the stories each of these characters, when achieving spiritual We set new intentions by letting go of the awareness or great insight, was given a old and bringing in the new to release any new name. During ancient times, names past issues. A White Stone Ceremony is were meaningful and sacred. Each name one way to release the past and set a host of represented a characteristic the person who intentions for the new year. carried the name embodied.
"A good intention clothes itself with power" ~ Ralph Waldo Emerson
The Infinite Field Magazine
page 77
Like Abram and Paul, the White Stone Ceremony encourages us to become spiritually aware, and part of this awarness comes about by listening out for our new name. As we write our new name given to us by Spirit, we are also calling forth a change in our consciousness. What this means for us is upon meditating and listening with our spiritual ear, we can receive a new name or a new identity to personify for the new year.
Performing Your White Stone Ceremony For your White Stone Ceremony you will need: white stone or tile, paper, pencil, candle, and soft music to set the mood. The ceremony begins with a period of meditation. During this meditation, allow yourself to release any thoughts of lack and limitation. Become still, focus on your breath, and ask your inner teacher to reveal to you the new name of nature to be embodied for the year. Don't force it, just let it flow naturally. When you feel comfortable and you believe your name has been revealed to you, write it on your stone and your piece of paper. Give thanks to Spirit for what has been revealed. Place your stone and your paper in a place where you will see it daily. Now you have been given a clean slate. You have the power of Spirit to live more fully and conciously with this symbol of new beginnings. Your white stone will serve as a reminder that you have the gift of choice and the ability to re-connect and cocreate with Spirit.

CONVERSATIONS WITH MUSIC ARTISTS
An Interview with Levi Ben-Shmuel By Milton Craft

About Levi
Levi Ben-Shmuel is an accomplished singer-songwriter, writer, speaker, and co-host of Transitions Radio Magazine. His career and his passion for truth was a long time in the making. At a young age, he knew that there was more to life than what he observed growing up in Long Island. While in college at SUNY Buffalo in 1976, Levi realized that what society and family wanted for his life was not the same as what he wanted. He felt a deep yearning to touch and live in harmony with what he knew to be an unseen spiritual force, or God. This harmony began to dominate his thoughts and actions. In 1981 after graduating, he decided to move back to Israel to begin exploring his Judaism faith. He wanted to learn more about the faith he was born into and decided to study Orthodox Judaism while living in Israel. After returning to the states, a friend mentioned to Levi an advertisement for a Kabbalah lecture at a local synagogue. Attending that lecture changed his life. For the first time, he heard someone speak about Judaism in terms of energy, divine light, and how he could connect to God without getting bogged down in rituals that made little sense. Levi was privileged each week for close to 4 years to study under the guidance of the master teacher, Hadassah Ben-Yishai. He learned to use Kabbalah’s Tree of Life to help strip away the blocks that prevented him from having his own direct connection. It also set him on the path of moving into his life’s work with the understanding that service for the good of the whole is a sure path to true freedom. Levi has made music a part of his life’s work and mission. His new CD, Take a New Road, joyfully connects people of all faiths, beliefs, and cultures to the freedom of being that comes from opening the heart to the divine love that lives in each of us. The songs tell an inspirational story of faith, yearning, commitment, finding and celebrating divine love. At times the songs rock out, and at times they move into a peaceful, meditative space. There is something for everyone in this finely crafted album. I got a chance to do a Q&A session with Levi where we talked about his music and his new album. I thought I would share this Q&A with each of you.
The Infinite Field Magazine
page 80
Q&A Milton: What is spirituality to you and how does it help you to achieve your purpose through your music? Levi: The definition of spirituality has evolved over the years for me and it probably will continue to evolve but at this point the core of it is “Having an Intimate Relationship with the Divine”. Let me explain what I mean. My Kabbalah teacher, Kabbalah is the Jewish mystical path, when I was living in Israel in Jerusalem, I had the great fortune of being connected to an amazing teacher. She taught that the core of spiritual life is living what she called “A divine romance with God” and when I heard that; something clicked inside of me that was what I wanted after all the years of searching and doing all kinds of things writing in the world of spirituality trying different paths. That really touched me and I knew deep inside that is what I want. I want my life to be based on the core relationship which is my relationship with the divine. Milton: What is Sulam Chi: Prayer in Motion? Levi: Sulam Chi: Prayer in Motion is an integration of Tai Chi and Kabbalah. Sulam in Hebrew means latter. So you could translate Sulam Chi as latter of Chi. Chi being the light force, the vital energy out of the douse system and how that came about is I created that with a friend of mine Michael Kagan who was a student of my Kabbalah teachers Sulam in Jerusalem and he had the inspiration to take the energy of Kabbalah’s tree of life, there are 10 distinct imagination so for God’s energy that are mapped to different body parts. He wanted to created a Kabbalahist movement form that embodied these energies. He came to me knowing that I am a Tai Chi instructor. I have been practicing Tai Chi for almost 25 years. This was back in 1999. I intuited through my own connection to the divine, movements that mapped these energies through the tree of life. So we created Sulam Chi. It’s a very short form which you can do in 4 minutes. It’s a very simple way to embody divine energy within your being. I am working on a DVD of this. Milton: So, how long have you been a musician? Levi: I started writing songs in the spring of 2000 so I came to this much later in life. I didn’t start as a teenager or a kid. My parents forced guitar lessons on me when I was growing up. They bought me this cheap guitar that I hated. They hired an instructor, a very nice lady. As a child, I learned the basic of music. Through the years always having a guitar, I fooled around with it but nothing serious. But in the spring of 2000, I was living in Jerusalem. My Kabbalah teacher gave me the message that I needed to write songs of praise and worship to God. And that struck me as funny at the time for two reasons. One, I had never written a song before. Two, I was tone deaf up until that point. I couldn’t sing. It turned out we were doing a piece of work together and I went through a very profound transformation. One of the results of that transformation was I was able to hear in a different way that allowed me to sing on key. Low and behold I sat down on Saturday in my apartment and picked up my guitar. I say, 'OK God, you want a song to come through let it come through.' Within minutes a song came through. The song is on my CD it is called “ Feel Me”. I was absolutely shocked that I could be a vessel for music that was inspired by spirituality. The Infinite Field Magazine
page 81
Q&A Milton: What was the basic thing that lead you to create this album? Levi: A few years after that experience, songs just keep on coming. I was also guided a few years ago to put together a CD as a way to give people an opportunity to experience this love of God through music. Music bypasses the mind and goes straight to the heart. You don’t have to worry about it or think about it. It can touch someone very deeply and in a profound way. So the genius of the CD was to share this love of God and experience of connecting to the creator through music. Milton: My favorite song is “With Faith”. Levi: It is the core of spiritual life and using those words. I found in my own experience when I do get out of the way and stop thinking about myself and what I have to do and worrying about this and worrying about that and make the space within myself to be quite and let the divine flow through, then my life experience in totally different. Then I can relax more into what is and except more of what is knowing that is all comes from God. With that faith, knowing that all of life is divinely inspired, I could relax more and become more of a vessel. Milton: So, what is the song that you like most on the album? Levi: I would say “I Choose U”. The reason is I wrote that song for my wife as an anniversary present. It turned out after I wrote it, I realized that it is also a love song to the divine. When I wrote the song, virtually everything I write is with an acoustic guitar, and it is very gentle very soft, but when my producer got a hold of it and got the band together it became this kinda rocker. I just happen to love the arrangement on the cd. I am a rocker at heart. I love what we did with the song on the cd. Milton: What do you have coming up in the near future? Levi: I’ve been thinking about doing devotional songs to the mother aspect of God the Divine Feminine. I have a bunch of songs that were inspired by that side of life, the Divine Feminine. What I’m thinking about doing because the industry is changing so much and with a lot of people downloading songs instead of by cd s, I’m thinking about recording a song or two putting it on my website or itunes and building a CD in that way. Hopefully; in the near future I will get a couple of tracks down and put them in that format and continue to share the music in that way. Milton: Briefly tell me about your family? Levi: The secret is coming out. I married my Kabbalah teacher. We married in February 2001 and we left Israel a few months later and moved back to the states in April of 2001. By August, she was pregnant with out son, Jacob. He is 7 1/2 years old. He as an amazing musical gift. For Hanukkah, we bought him a little electric guitar. He has written a few amazing songs for a guy his age.
The Infinite Field Magazine
page 82
Q&A Milton: Does your wife perform on your cd’s? Levi: No, my wife has become an artist. She stopped teaching and counseling people once we moved to the states. In 2003, she got back to art. She was an artist as a child and was going to go to art school but that didn’t work out and she picked up the paint brushes again and has now devoted herself and as we were talking about music as being an amazing vehicle for sharing spirituality, she know does that through abstract art. Milton: What is the message that you want to convey through your music? Levi: The underlining message is you are loved. I think this is so critical for all of us to take in in a very deep way. No matter who we are what we look like what we are doing, God’s love for us is unshakable and we can always return to that core relationship, the core of spiritually. My prayer is through my music people will be able to touch that love and relax into it an move deeper into who they are. Milton: What is the concept behind this album? Levi: At the time, I was interested in the idea of freedom. Not the freedom of I can go where I want to a do what I want to but the internal freedom to connect to the divine within and be who I really am and who anyone really is. So the songs have a flow to them in terms of taking a road to live a life of internal freedom. If you listen carefully, staring with faith the foundation of being able to walk out of the life you into a different life. You must have faith in order to do that. So starting with faith, then moving into track to it possible to take a new road filled with love, three choosing it deeply. so the songs flow this internal road one can take, ending with freedom is my way absolutely calming no matter what I am living this life of internal freedom. The cool arrangement of that song a blue grass filling. The intentions of the order were very clear and precise to give this effect.

NO COMPROMISE As you prepare for the new year, there is something I want you to take under consideration: Don't compromise! Have the things you want and don't settle for less. When you choose to compromise, you choose to accept things that are less than what you desire. Have you ever made a decision about something knowing that it was not the decision that you wanted to make. Say that you were at the store and they were out of Dr. Pepper, so you bought a Fanta instead, even though you dislike fruit flavored drinks. You knew that you didn't really like Fanta but you bought it anyway. Why? You compromised what you wanted. The choice should of been to either go to another store or don't buy something that you don't like. Do you find yourself doing this alot with other things also? Now, think about your clothes, cars, food, and even friends. How many times have you bought something because it was on sale or because you were in a rush or simply because somewhere inside you felt like you don't truly deserve the things you want, although you didn't really like what you bought at all? In your mind, you know what you want and like, but you choose something different instead. You compromise. Many people can get to the point that they compromise so much without really understanding what compromise is or what it really means. What does it mean to compromise? Compromise is a basic negotiation process in which you give up something in order to get something else. We find ourselves compromising in many different situations from buying a home, buying a car, or when we make
political and financial decisions. We need to learn to stand firm and hold on to our principles instead of giving into compromise. When you decide to compromise you are saying you don't believe that what you are desiring/asking for/requesting has any worth. For example: You go to the car dealership to buy your new Lexus. The salesman said that you could save $2000 if you purchase the demo which is only a few weeks old but it is a five speed. One question: Can you drive a five speed? The answer for the majority is "No." Sounds like you're losing focus even as you continue to listen to the salesman talk about something you already know you don't want and you don't need. The salesman tells you of all the great things you could do by saving the extra $2000, like new seat covers, a new radio, and a sporty pair of sun glasses. When you left home headed to the store, mall, or a friends house, you had a plan of what you were going to do. You already knew what you desired, but for some reason you allowed fear and doubt to take over. You allowed what you saw or heard to lead you into a decision that you had not planned to make. Once again, sounds like you lost your focus. You become so excited that you said, "Yes". You allowed the salesman to make you compromise on what you had planned to do. Unfortunately, just a few weeks later you have to bring it back because you tore up the transmission because you couldn't drive a five speed. I guess that extra $2000 will come in handy now. Ask yourself, was giving up your beliefs worth all of this? This is a type of compromise that is made out of not holding true to what you know to be true. The proposal sounds good but it is not good for you. The Infinite Field Magazine
page 85
When Moses was leading the children of Israel out of Egypt (Exodus 13:17-15:21) he knew God promised that they would get to the promise land. He didn’t know how they were going to do it, but he knew that God had promised it. When they were going through the wilderness, going through the trials going through the valleys, he knew that he didn’t have to compromise on what he believed. During this process, Moses relied on what God had promised him. He wasn't worried about going back to Egypt or not having the things that they needed while they were in the wilderness. Moses never had to compromise on anything because he believed in God's promise. If there was no water, he looked to the heavens and it was provided. If there was no food, he looked to the heavens and it was provided. The biggest thing that everyone remembers from that story is when he got to the Red Sea, the people wondered how were they going to cross. He just stretched his arms out and God prepared away. Moses did not have to compromise. And neither do you. Whatever you need God will supply. If you need money, then stretch out your arms to the heavens and ask, without compromise, for what you truly want and what you truly desire.
X
That is the same thing that we need to do in our daily lives and with the things we have a true belief in. If a friend is doing things that you don't agree with and are not what you believe in, you don't have to continue to be friends with that person. No Compromise! The church/center/religious organization is not speaking in the same spiritual language as you are. You don't have to continue going. No Compromise! You need to understand that you are one with God and there is No Compromise! We DO NOT need to compromise on the things that are important and the things that we desire to have in our lives. If you desire to become a singer, what’s to stop you? If you desire to become an artist, what’s to stop you? Psalms 37:5 says "Commit your way to the LORD, Trust also in Him, And He shall bring it to pass" The scripture didn't say compromise you way to the Lord. It says to Commit. Which means to to carry into action deliberately. In other words, you can make it happen.
So my prayer and blessing for each of you as we go into this new year is to learn to never compromise and that from this day forward you will give yourself all the things you want and desire. And so it is, Milton

POWERFUL INTENTIONS: EVERYDAY GRATITUDE By Sue Urda Setting intentions, visualizing, manifesting things right before our eyes; these are the subjects of poets and philosophers. These manifestations are often deemed as miracles, anomalies, or coincidences. What I have learned, and know to be true is that there are no coincidences. ~Sue Urda In this book, which is - one part daily wisdom - one part affirmations - and 1000 parts manifestation, Sue Urda sends on transformational journey to create a life of joy, grace and ease. Reading this book is like sitting down under a shade tree on a mild summer day talking with a welcomed friend. She lends a nonsensical common sense approach while tackling often illusive topics such as gratitude by providing 3 simple rules. What are these rules? 1. Acknowledge what is. 2. Bless everything. 3. Be grateful. Sue reminds us to apply these rules liberally and generously into each and every moment of our lives. For 100 days, Sue shares daily inspiration through Daily Wisdoms like "You are Magnificent...Celebrate You!" and "Today is a Gift." This author has thought of everything and includes an intentions journal, a gratitude journal, and a resource page filled with links all with the simple intention to help manifestation and the power of intentions an integral part of your daily routine. Sue Urda is the author of Powerful Intentions: Everyday Gratitude. She is also an inspirational leader, powerful speaker, a consummate student and a joyful woman. She is the Co-Founder & CEO of Powerful You! Women's Network with chapters across the USA. Sue's personal mission is to assist individuals to follow their inner voice, find the simplicity in each day, and live their lives in joy. SELF-DISCLOSURE CHANGES FROM WITHIN Modern shamans have diverse origins, but they all aim to guide you to your own creative and healing powers. These spiritual teachers urge you to take responsibility for your feelings and perceptions. As sages, they steer you to align with your intention. As you become more conscious and deliberate, you discover what you can do to cope better with life as you perceive and understand it. You begin to realize psychic development comes as you strengthen intuition. Learn to listen to your higher self. As you slowly dissolve your inner critic, you awaken dormant abilities you have always had. Without insight, you do not rediscover your true nature. ~Dr. Liara M. Covert
Anyone who knows me knows that Dr. Liara Covert is one of my favorite authors. She has moved me to tears, changed my thinking, and made me leap for joy simply by reading the words she writes so eloquently from her heart. Her words are conceptual, applicable, and worthy of contemplation. Her voice, while consuming and strong, are at the core filled with TRUTH. It is this core foundation of truth that has prompted my own deeper connection with the guru within and heightened of awareness to the magic of the infinite field. For this reason, I humbly share my interview with Dr. Liara Covert with each of you as she talks in-depth about her newest book, Self-Disclosure: Changes from Within.

Synolve: Why did you write this book? Dr. Liara: Self-Disclosure writes itself. It is the vehicle I use to remember to explore, confront, and detach from emotions bubbling up inside, to reframe challenges and uncertainty. The more things change, the more things seem to stay the same until you are willing to recognize ingrained patterns and move beyond them. This book is an exercise. I choose to take new levels of personal responsibility for my life and ultimately choose lessons in love and acceptance to grasp purpose in feeling fear and rejection. Life experience teaches me the way we change our outer world is through being willing to get-to-know our inner world and realizing certain mental habits need to change. As I grow and shift, my sense of the truth changes. I realize that change is perpetual and I can choose to accept and surrender or resist and experience other things. Each one has a purpose. Synolve: What is your main objective for this book and for the readers? Dr. Liara: The dialogue that unfolds in this book is perceived by readers in different ways. Some people sense it is a dialogue involving the author and a conscience. Other people begin to sense one voice is their own and another is the higher self, divine energy or pure consciousness. People are encouraged to be open to what is unfolding. The quotes by 145 mentors set the stage. People tell me they do not always read this book cover to cover right away. They like to skim the table of contents or end-of-book questionnaires. Some people say they read it and then refer to sections relevant to particular periods of their lives. I encourage people to read it earnestly. It is based on life experiences. Synolve: Who are you trying to reach with this book? Dr. Liara: This book invites people to be aware of their fears and reluctance to change. I invite people to view themselves not as the person they resist or dislike, but who they truly are. As people realize that their life is the cause and how they feel is the effect, they are empowered to change their thoughts, feelings, and circumstances in their way at their pace. It is the kind of book that comes into the scope of awareness of people ready to be more honest with themselves, ready to reclaim inner power, innate wisdom and pure joy. Synolve: Why do you believe the themes and lessons in this book are so important today? Dr. Liara: More and more people are recognizing fear, discomfort, and negativity offer meaningful messages. Yet, they are not always clear how to decide them. Humans are conditioned by society to search outside themselves for guidance rather than turn inward and trust their own intuition. People are not conditioned to believe self-honesty is easy. They are taught to conceal their feelings, to think with the logical, judgmental mind, rather than feel unconditionally with the heart. They forget self-disclosure not only enables them to transcend fear, it opens them to new degrees of fulfillment and satisfaction. How would you like to know that you literally attract to you what you think about? This goes further than the law of attraction and material things. It brings up karma, dormant supernatural abilities and many other issues explored in the book.

Synolve: Can people really change their lives, if so how? Dr. Liara: Change begins with the thought and recognizing the power of personal intention. Self-Disclosure: Changes from Within is set up in so that lessons frame each chapter and the many sections end with questions. Readers are invited to journal their own answers to add context in their own lives. At the end of the book, readers are offered questionnaires they can fill out in the book or photocopy to share or exchange with loved ones. This exercise can be used alone or to build trust and strengthen relationships. Synolve: Why is self-discovery so important? Dr. Liara: People forget who they are. It is never too late to awaken to the power of this moment. To realize what you forget enables you to tap into limitless potential. Synolve: Is self-discovery more important than being swept up in the illusion of religion? Dr. Liara: To answer this question draws attention to the word, ‘importance.’ When you reach a mental place where nothing is more important than anything else, then you master the ego and tame the judgment that is known to emerge from illusions such as insecurity. Of course, not everyone exists from this place as of yet. Religion has different meanings for different people. It is often associated with some kind of external belief system which is imposed to control how you think or behave. When you reconnect with your true self, you begin to reclaim your inner power. This means you move from adopting external beliefs, to peeling them away as you outgrow them. This is part of a process of self-discovery. Moving toward greater self-acceptance means detaching from anything that urges you to believe you are something you are not. As you choose to stop living by other people’s standards or expectation, you create presence. You choose to live in the now. Fear does not exist. Love is a timeless companion. Synolve: Why do you believe people are hurting so much and so deeply? Why are people experiencing so much pain in their lives? Dr. Liara: People invite into their lives not what they want but what they are or reflections of how they feel. I sense people are growing more conscious of discomfort because they are allowing themselves to be aware of being disloyal to themselves, their intuition and what feels right. This acknowledgement is very courageous. Some people begin to sense they attract to them what they do not want as part of the process of moving closer to experience what they do. All pain is linked back to denial of the present, of where people are at this moment. Negativity only lives in a sense of the past or is imagined in a hypothetical future. To realize this is to remember you have choices to collect wisdom. The Infinite Field Magazine

Synolve: What do you believe your job is as a writer? Dr. Liara: I sense I write to empower others and also to empower myself. Writing is a way of reflecting back inner thoughts and being aware of them more consciously. As part of the process of experiencing my books, I invite people to journal privately. Transcribing thoughts and reading them back to the self triggers different levels of awakening. Synolve: Where did you get the concept for this book? Where did the inspiration come from? Dr. Liara: Self-disclosure can be experienced on many different levels of awareness. It can be read as a discourse between soul and mind, between the heart and brain, between whichever perspectives resonate with the reader. Like consciousness, the book itself is aware. It draws attention to growing sensitivities and abilities present in everyone now. On some level, the book is instinctual, mental, relational, emotional, and intuitional. A reader experiences it on multiple levels consciously or unconsciously. It unfolds as it is written. Synolve: I cried when I read the first few pages of your book. Did you always know that you would have this incredible impact on people's lives? Dr. Liara: Imagine how I felt each instance I read sections of it back! J Life teaches me that when I am honest with myself, I invite humility and honesty in others. Tears reinforce my own inner healing. As I allow myself to offer experiences and opportunities for life change to others, this reminds us as we create humble minds, judgment no longer exists. Synolve: What's next for you? Are you working on a 2nd book? Are you travelling and speaking to promote this book?
Dr. Liara: This past year, I have organized a few book signings and know more unfold in 2010. As I have been caring for my mother during her cancer treatments, I postponed travel events. Nonetheless, I completed a second book published January 1, 2010 called Cosmic Synchronicity. My third book is due in February titled, Transform your Life: 730 Inspirations. I also offer two e-books on my website which are Expand Consciousness Now and Soul Work: 50 exercises to align mind, body and spirit. I discover I have much to say, to offer or give. A revamped website is underway which will present books and other endeavors in more detail. Synolve: How can people reach you? Do you offer personal counseling sessions? Dr. Liara: I offer dream analysis services and ‘consciousness coaching.’ I also do public speaking and tailor talks and seminars. At the moment, I am in the process of developing on-line e-courses and workshops related to my books. People can also connect with me and learn more at http://blog.dreambuilders.com.au Synolve: How did you begin your own spiritual journey? Dr. Liara: It is a constant learning curve with no beginning and no end. From the moment I choose to have faith in my own inner knowing rather than disbelieve what is possible, I am conscious of a stage of my spiritual journey. In Self-Disclosure, I explore milestones of awakening which include instances of losing what I assume is important in order to experience the revelation that nothing is important, that nothing is what I assume. As I grow willing to realize what and why I resist, I sense harmony only arises as I work through my illusions of disharmony. Love becomes stronger as I work through illusions of fear. The lessons are never-ending and each one is life-transforming. The Infinite Field Magazine

Sacred Intention and Affirmation to assist in your journey as you Follow the Guru Within Each day I set the intention to follow the Guru within. This intuitive God-voice is my teacher and my guide. I affirm that I am divine. I recognize the God-voice within. I surround myself with the light and love of the Guru within. I AM fully aware of this still intuitive voice each and every moment of my life as I experience the sacred mundane that is my daily routine. I listen to the voice of wisdom that speaks inside. In gratitude, I meditate and contemplate the divinity which is me. I follow the God-voice and watch as the answers to my deepest questions, the goodness that I deserve, and the prosperity, health, and wisdom that I seek unfold magically within me. To each person I meet, I whisper “Namaste” as the God within me acknowledges the God within you.

ARE YOU SINGING YOUR SONG? “Everyone has talent. What is rare is the courage to follow the talent to the dark place where it leads." - Erica Jong
In my early lean days as a musician and while attending college, one of the things I did to earn money was to teach music. My students ranged from eight to eighty years of age and the degree of their natural talent was often very high. What I found most frustrating was that, in many cases, I was able to recognize their talent but they could not see it in themselves. After a few months of lessons some students would throw in the towel, offering excuses such as “I’m too old (or too young) to learn how to sing or play the piano or guitar...or, these drums just take up too much space in my home.” I believe that for at least some of them, beyond any resistance to the commitment to practice daily, their own fear held them back; they knew if their music started sounding too good, then they would have to "do something" with it. We held recitals every six months and it would nudge them out of their "box" or comfort zone. I saw so much awesome talent and potential choked back by fear and uncertainty. Henry David Thoreau wrote, "Most men lead lives of quiet desperation and go to the grave with the song still in them." The song Thoreau is speaking of is the unexpressed Self; the creative essence of Spirit seeking an outlet. What I learned from my students and from the pursuit of my own career as a writer and performer was that it requires courage to "sing our song." That courage will indeed take us to the very edge of our comfort zone--that dark place Erica Jong speaks of where fear lingers; fear of rejection, fear of failure and perhaps even fear of success. (The only thing worse than failing at something is succeeding and not feeling worthy of the success. When this happens we inevitably find some way to undermine that success). Fear of failure and rejection seems to be an issue most all of us have the opportunity to heal if we are going to be fully expressed in bringing the gift of who we are to life. It’s like; “Oh my God, what will I do if they don’t like my song?” Get over it! You are singing your song for you, not them. Some of us have held back singing our own song because we were too busy trying to sing the song someone else thought we should be singing. (Usually our parents or teachers.) Can you hear your song calling? Your “song” may not be music at all but it will be something that gives greater expression to your divine nature; it will serve as an opening through which the uniqueness of your soul flows through you and onto the stage of life. How will you know when you are singing your song? You’ll become a vessel for unbridled joy and time will seem to stand still. Perhaps your "unsung song" is painting, writing, dancing, learning another language, becoming an entrepreneur, public speaking, teaching, sewing, juggling, gardening, gourmet cooking, or (fill in the blank) _______________. Regardless of what it might be, make a commitment to share the passion, talent or creative self expression you have been holding back from the world with at least three people--prime the pump and get the juice flowing. The world is waiting for you and the gift you bring. It is time to come to the edge of that dark place. Not to worry, Infinite Presence, the ultimate source of light is right there with you, so go ahead…you’ve got the spotlight. Sing your song for all your worth! Peace, Dennis
