Non-Qualifying Session Events

Full details of all events will be publicised on term notices, innertemple.org.uk/events and in Innerview.

Bookings for all non-qualifying session events will close seven working days prior to the event.

Call to the Bar: Call Nights

(Lounge suits, gowns)

Drinks are available for Benchers from 5.15pm. The Hilary Call ceremony will be held in the Treasury Building. The Trinity, Deferred Trinity and Michaelmas Call ceremonies are held in the Temple Church. Call ceremonies starts at 6.00pm and are followed by a champagne reception. The evening usually ends by 8.30pm.

Masters of the Bench: Reply slips are sent out approximately six weeks before the event and Benchers should complete and return them, or contact the Member Events Team on members@innertemple.org.uk, or via innertemple.org.uk/events.

Private Guest Nights (Black tie)

A champagne reception followed by dinner for Benchers, Members of Hall, Students, and their guests.

There are three Private Guest Nights. Benchers may bring one guest. Members of Hall and Students may bring more than one guest subject to capacity.

Benchers’ Nights (Black tie)

A champagne reception and dinner to which Benchers may bring their spouse, partner, or other guest. There are three Benchers’ Nights each year.

Dinner following Bench Table (Lounge suits)

This dinner, usually held after the first Bench Table of the year, will follow a Bench Table later in the year. It is open to all Governing Benchers.

Open to all members and their guests.

Lunch is a two course carvery buffet, similar to weekday lunch, with no seating plan.

On Sundays when Middle Temple is holding a Lunch, members of The Inner Temple may book to attend.
