DORIC AND COWDROY ARE BACK ON TRACK AND HAVE BIG PLANS FOR 2019 ON THE TARMAC.

THE INSIDE SCOOP

THE FORM BOOK

The new Ford Mustang has been the one to watch in 2019, winning nine of the 10 races so far this season. However technical changes to the Mustang ahead of Perth round to manage the category’s parity could mean things are about to change. The new Pony has well and truly lived up to its hype, but small changes to the rear wing and centre of gravity will, in theory, level the playing field. How these changes will effect the cars in the technical Bargaballo circuit is yet to be determined. And with just a little over 300 points separating Will Davison from the top of the series standings, small gains will make a big difference on track this weekend. This, combined with the new track surface, will give commentators plenty to talk about.Barbagallo was completely resurfaced over the summer, a project which was last completed in 2004. Some drivers have predicted lap times up to four seconds faster than last year. The lap record could also very possibly fall.
