Intro
The Interior Space, is an interior design and procurement management firm based on the Gold Coast, Queensland, Australia and working internationally. Our commissions include luxury residential developments, hotels, resorts, leisure properties and their associated commercial interiors. Involved from inception to completion we believe our international success comes from our holistic rather than one dimensional approach to our work, creating a bridge between our clients’ vision and the reality of bringing this to life.

I
t is with great pleasure that I introduce you to our world of design and our brand, The Interior Space. We have a strong desire to make a difference in the world through design. Our award winning portfolio includes luxury residential and leisure property developments, hotels and resorts.
The Interior Space is a passionate and highly talented team of professionals that enjoy nothing more than bringing our clients’ vision to life through the interiors we create for them. From concept to completion, each of our projects evolve with its’ own unique stamp & sophistication. We believe it is our responsibility to mindfully design interiors which are distinctive, sustainably responsible and will positively impact the lives of those we create them for. his ethos is embodied into the fabric of our brand's design philosophy and is paramount as our team creates beautiful design solutions. As we are always looking for ways to raise the bar and enhance our level of service we have partnered with luxury retailers of furniture, artwork & accessories. As such we have increased our offering from predominantly interior design & procurement management to now being a total turnkey experience with everything under the one banner to allow us to create beautiful interiors of exceptional quality. “We design it, we make it and you love it” is our motto. My personal career encompasses interior design and executive management within the design & tourism sectors. I have teamed many times with other consultants such as architects, building designers, engineers, builders & construction managers as part of the specialist consulting teams for both residential and commercial projects. Our understanding of luxury, understated elegance and our ability to create a personal style or brand to bring a unique difference to every project and our ability to deliver (designs or our finished products) on time and within budget has resulted in loyal clients & consultants who become advocates for our business. We believe strongly in the importance of building long term quality relationships. I look forward to welcoming you, connecting to your vision and bringing your interior design story into fruition.

The Brief From the initial consultation we detail a design brief which provides a summary of all aspects of the design direction and work to be included within the established budget.
Concept Design
Once a project is accepted the work begins with development of the concept. We prepare an image/mood board that depicts our understanding of the design approach, prepare sketches or 3D models as appropriate, floor plans, furniture layouts, elevations, color palette and sampling for clients to approve.
Design Development During this phase, with the design concept approved, we detail plans and specifications in preparation for the tender and construction process. During design development we work closely with other specialist consultants, such as architects, engineers, construction managers & landscape designers to ensure all parts of the design work correlate flawlessly throughout the entire project. In the case of commercial work it is common to also team with marketing groups to assist with preparation of the sales material.

Design Detailing During Construction Design detailing involves working on site with the construction managers to inspect work, respond to RFI enquiries and ensure the design is being correctly followed by the construction team. Here we also check trade construction drawings and inspect the manufacture of products in factories.
Manufacturing
We manufacture high quality bespoke furniture and exquisite millwork. Our huge manufacturing base over several specialising factories (with engineer design support, in house QC, experience global shipping and more) means we are able to supply at very competitive pricing.
Project Management We design, source, cost and oversee the installation of all items to be included. We plan, co-ordinate with suppliers and staff to ensure every detail is perfect to completion. This phase begins during construction, with our team taking over fully after the building has been completed.
