The Star Sydney’s signature Japanese restaurant recently revealed its fresh new look and menu, marking a new phase of its revolution. Helmed by executive chef Chase Kojima, Sokyo is renowned for its innovative take on contemporary Japanese cuisine, merging the best of both traditional Japan and modern Sydney.

“We wanted to keep the soul of the original Sokyo, paying respect to the traditional cooking techniques of Japan, while giving it a burst of fresh energy,” Kojima said. With the philosophy that every meal should be a ceremonial moment, Sokyoseems a fitting choice for hosting a special dinner event.

The private dining room Sokyo Sunken offers a spacious dining and entertainment space which can host up to 50 seated and 70 cocktail, making it ideal for private functions and corporate events. Additionally, there is a semi-private dining room which offers an intimate space seating 20 guests. Groups are offered the Sokyo Favourites menu, featuring seven of the restaurant’s most popular dishes to share, plus dessert, while bespoke menus for cocktail events are also available. Whatever the event or occasion, guest experience is firmly at the forefront, with great precision and creativity going into the menu, space and service for an unforgettable experience.

Located on level nine of the new Sofitel Adelaide, Garçon Bleu offers contemporary French dining in a stunning space with sweeping city views. There are semi-private spaces to suit small and large groups, with another four smaller rooms on the side that can each accommodate private dining for up to 10 guests. They can also be joined to form one large space for bigger events of up to 50 guests.

Housed within an immaculately restored 1847 heritage building on Salamanca Place, the Tasman Hotel’ssignature restaurant Peppina is where old-world hospitality meets produce-focused Italian cooking. The restaurant’s private dining space, The Printing Room, pays homage to the building’s past, which once housed the printing presses for the surveyors department.
