Jewish leaders called on heads of the EU to initiate legislation preventing those with avowed antisemitic positions from running for office in EU institutions and unreserved support for the State of Israel, including a democratically elected government. They also called on all parties in Israel to rise above their differences.

The Jewish Weekly’s representative praised the event as it gathered together individual organisations fighting antisemitism. “Awareness of global antisemitism through the media is essential,” they noted. “We, as the media, have a duty to inform readers We all have a role to play in informing readers that there is somewhere to turn to should they experience or see antisemitism. We highlight organisations fighting this ongoing battle and will continue to do so.”
