Q1. Tell us about your achievements so far? The Grill Hype Group is typically an Events Planning and Promotions Group born out of the ambition of a group of students towards reinventing the style and class of regular events and content delivery over social media and other media platforms. In our journey so far, we have successfully established a persistent network stretched across a vast range of audience nationwide, reliable as it is solid, connecting content creators to their specialized audience effeciently. The Grill has planned and executed a number of sensational events including the 2018 Harmony Wireless Awards dinner, The Freaky Night party and a few other iconic events in Minna, Niger State. In 2019,we were awarded the plaque for the Entrepreneur of the year

the most difficult challengs we've had to Award at the Harmony Awards.

finding reliable adhoc staff to regulate the Event program with professionalism and finesse, providing transportation for our guests after the event(mostly events that stretch into the night) or sustaining optimal customer experience through the course of the event.

Q2. With your experience, what can you say are the challenges faced when pulling up an event/idea? Planning, structuring and implementing event plans is no small feat. However, 023

Q3. What is your greatest fear in planning an event? Our biggest fears while planning our events are usually customer response to certain elements we've put in place to spice up the event and the returns over investment put into the events. These fears are constant in every event we've planned, but usually end up being unnecessary.

Q4. What do you think about the entertainment industry? The Nigerian entertainment industry is at a vital phase of transformation on the global stage. It has improved exponentially over recent years in all sectors of the industry, music, art, movies and comedy. This improvement is fed by new creativity and a thirst for growth emerging from the constantly evolving roots of the Nigerian spirit. This only means there’s way more growth permissible which should be pursued.

Q5. Who is your mentor int the entertainment industry? Do you look forward to spending time with him/ her? There aren’t many organizations or individuals, if any, that offer the combination of services we offer, which stretches beyond just event planning and promotions. This is the unique customer experience we offer our clients. However, for each service we offer, there are certain people we look up to. Delphino Entertainment for example, in relations with our Events Planning service. It would be a grand experience to take a peak at the working mechanism of his organization. Q6. How do you stay relevant in competitive times/environment? The trick is simple. All the possible implementable ideas have been exhausted. It’s all been done before. Understanding that allows you focus on a more realistic goal to achieve while seeking to retain customer satisfaction and attention, which is content delivery. Taking this old idea and delivering it uniquely to your audience, with an extra element of style. But don’t focus on that. The success of your delivery almost solely banks on how much effort you put in it. Go big. Always. That’s how we stay relevant.

Q7. How do you handle ticket sales? Is sales more profitable before the event or the event day? And why?

We offer online ticket sales on our website, but also provide physical tickets at crucial locations for pick up. In as much as we aim to gravitate all ticket purchases from offline to online, the basic fact remains that a large percentage of our audience are currently not very familiar with the convenience and reliability of online purchase. Meanwhile, event ticket sales go up by a lot on the day of the event. We attribute this to the fact that customers usually require an extra push to commit to their decision to turn up. The urgency of how close the event is and the prospect of missing the final opportunity to be a part of it usually does the trick. Other times, customers wanna be sure the event will turn out beautifully, so they wait to measure the traffic on the day of the event, before committing.

Q8. What do you think are the criteria for you and your team in your events? There are certain standards we deem essential for a good customer experience at every event. A few of those include maximum security at the location, excellent sound policy, respectful customer relations with our staff, lighting and food. Customers gotta eat. Q9.What are the possible challenges to expect as an event planner? As an event planner, you have to worry about a lot of things. The slightest details can make or break your event. So you look out for all of it. Mostly though, expect a lot of pushback from your audience in the inception of your event’s publicity. A lot of negative energy will be thrown your way, some bolder than others. It's all part of the process. Shake it off. Keeping guests tempered and in control in the middle of an event is another significant issue. People generally go to certain events to unwind, and things tend to get out of control at times. It's up to the organisers discretion, how to handle these issues when they arise, still they are a pain to handle sometimes.

Q10..Finally a word for those intending to organize events? To put it directly, for maximum experience at minimal cost, bring your events to us. We know how to plan an awesome event. Thank you.
