The legacy of Antwerp’s more than 570 years of Diamond Heritage and the rich diamond history of India, came together with the launch of the Authenticity Jewellery Report at Mumbai, India aimed at the traditional and authentic Polki jewellery.

Traditional handcrafted Polki jewellery inspired by flora, fauna, and architectural elements since 1526, has its roots firmly embedded in India. Presently, these heritage-inspired jewels have gained in popularity on the international market too. HRD Antwerp believes that these unique jewellery pieces symbolize a critical element of the traditional cultural diamond heritage of India.

The Authenticity Jewellery Report captures the essence of Polki or uncut diamonds mounted in jewellery – notably their natural origin. Unlike polished diamonds, which have the 4Cs mentioned in HRD Antwerp’s Natural Diamond Grading Report, the Authenticity Report will identify the uncut mounted diamonds’ nature. Every single stone will be thoroughly screened and checked for its natural origin. HRD Antwerp will only issue the report for Polki jewellery containing 100 per cent natural diamonds with no treatments.

HRD Antwerp’s USP for the authenticity report is ‘Your Blueprint of Assurance’, thus creating an added level of confidence for consumers purchasing these timeless creations.

Ellen Joncheere - CEO, HRD Antwerp, stated it was essential for HRD Antwerp to bring additional value to these timeless jewels.

Noted guests also included Amar Ghanasingh Hemdev - Owner, AG Jewellery, Kamlesh Hemdev – Director, Ghanasingh Fine Jewels and noted influencer Prernaa Makhariaa – StylePrer.

Farah Khan Ali emphasized on the importance of having such a report for Polki jewellery which would uplift consumers’ confidence when they purchase jewellery.

Pierre-Emmanuel Brusselmans stated India is the main market for Polki jewellery and it will enhance the buying experience of Indian brides.

Jayant Kulkarni stated this report will place India on the world map for its jewellery quality, designs, and manufacturing techniques.

Sanjay Shah noted that he is confident that this new product will surely address the needs of the industry.
