KIDS HELPING KIDS
Madeline from Newstead, TAS, hosted an online auction in support of her son Alfred who was diagnosed with T-cell lymphoma in 2020, and raised a whopping $57,000! Since then, Alfred has organised dress-up days at school to raise more money to help donate The Kids’ Cancer Project bears to kids at Launceston Hospital. Thank you both!
LOSE YOUR LOCKS
Year 12 student Hamish from Margate, TAS, said goodbye to his luscious locks after seeing a Lose Your Locks ad on Facebook and having had family members go through cancer treatment. To raise extra funds, his mates helped him host a cupcake sale at school, in total raising over $2,000 – the new look suits you, Hamish.
GYMPIE CONCERT
A huge thank you to Bob and Glenis from Gympie, QLD for their longstanding support of The Kids’ Cancer Project. Since 2016, the couple has hosted monthly fundraisers featuring dinner, raffles and local country musicians − raising an incredible $35,000 to date!
LAMB KARMA
Award-winning authentic Indian restaurant, Delhi ‘O’ Delhi, in Newtown, NSW is a long-term supporter of The Kids’ Cancer Project. For every dish of their famous ‘Lamb Karma’ sold, $2 is donated − in addition, the restaurant frequently hosts fundraising dinners, raising over $15,000 to date. Fundraising never tasted so good!
SUNBURY SUPERHEROES
Since 2019, the staff at Vineyard Medical Centre in Sunbury, VIC, have hosted a superhero dress-up day to raise funds for The Kids’ Cancer Project. Besides putting a smile on their patients’ faces, they’ve raised over $5,000 to date –thank you so much, team!
THE CHEEKY RIDERS
A huge thank you to the Cheeky Riders from NSW who have supported The Kids’ Cancer Project for five years, raising over $1,200! Each year the group does a Pirate Ride through Sydney, complete with great swashbuckling costumes.
