GREETINGS
FROM YOUR LIEUTENANT GOVERNOR Hello Krakens! Congradulations to all you seniors, and thank you for all of your service in Key Club. It has personally been a honor to have so many role models to look up to. I wish you luck in all of your future endeavors, and if you’re around feel free to visit at a DCM!! If you were unable to attend the May DCM, don’t worry, because we have the June DCM coming up. It’ll be a nice, casual DCM to kick off our summer in service!! Don’t forget to bring a change of clothes, and some change! I highly suggest extra clothes with the water balloon fight, and we’ll be having a miracle minute where all of the divisional officers will be getting pied. As for all officers, don’t forget that reports are still due throughout the summer. It may seem a bit strange, but there are still service projects available through the summer and the reports help to keep me informed! See you soon! In love and Service,
Andrea Diep Division 33 Lieutenant Governor Pacific Northwest District Key Club International p: 253-202-6434 e: andreadiep.ltg33@gmail.com

MELISSA OUK DCON Advice? “DON’T GRIND AT THE GOVERNOR’S BALL.”
Any words of wisdom? “Never judge someone's ability to be a leader.”
Advice for officers? “Remember that the title of your position does not matter.” “You all have an important job!! Make sure to work together to serve the community and your club members! Also whenever you feel like giving up, just think of the good times and get a free hug from a fellow Kraken! Even if you don't like hugs, those help so much! Good luck to all you officers, you'll 6 do great. I LOVE YOU!”
SENIOR
SPOTLIGHT
JASMINE LEUNG
Any words of wisdom? “Seriously, the more service events and DCMs you go to, the more you will love Key Club. Don't be afraid to be goofy and weird, 'cause Key Clubbers tend to really like that.”
DCON Advice? Advice for officers?
“Talk to people! Step out of your comfort zone and try new things! Don't clump up with people from only your own Key Club.”
“As in secretary? Take good notes of meetings. You’d be surprised how often they come in handy. Have a sign-in/out sheet for each service event, that would make hour logging easier.
Don't forget to turn in your monthly report on time!!!”

SENIOR
SPOTLIGHT CHRISTIE PERALTA
“Do all you can to make your club the best it can be. Planning will get you far, but ALWAYS be prepared to face an obstacle. Not everything will go perfectly and the best you can do is to remain calm to solve the problem with a clear mind.
But most importantly, remember that you can do this. However, you cannot do it alone. I believe that you will be successful by utilizing the support of your entire board. Be a team.”
What’s your favorite service project? “Working with the Federal Way Kiwanis Club during concessions. I met a lot of great people and earned money for my club. Our club was able to raise an average of $50 a night and one of the best "tips" I received was from a seventh grader who told me, "Here's a tip. You're hot" and ran away.” 8
DONG SONG
Any words of wisdom? “There's a saying called "follow your instinct". Please DO NOT believe in this saying. I advise that you always do the opposite of what your instinct is telling you to do, and you'll succeed in life. If your instinct tells you to sleep when you have a ton of homework, don't sleep! If your instinct tells you to eat more food when you shouldn't, don't eat!
If your instinct tells you to quit your Key Club officer position, don't quit!
Advice for officers?
The only time when you should listen to your instinct is when you have to excrete in the bathroom. I REPEAT AGAIN, DO THE OPPOSITE OF WHAT YOUR INSTINCT IS TELLING YOU!”
“Even if you think you aren't doing a very good job as an officer
don't give up and just ask for help! You'll regret it as soon as you quit your position.” 9
Yes, these are still due in the summer.
