BEST MEMORIES

JUDE DELKASCAMP

My favorite memory from school was my very first football game we lost miserably but the environment and atmosphere was so fun and it felt like home.

RILEY GOODNIGHT

So, it’s March 1st, 2021. I’m driving to Wendy’s for a very important quest. It’s Hunter Uliasz’s birthday, and to my surprise, he has never experienced the excellent “fresh never frozen” taste of Wendy’s. So, as the good friend I am, I decide what better gift to give him than the gift of a burger, fries, and a Frosty. I’ve had my license for three months so I was a fairly new driver, but pretty comfortable with my ability on the road. This would soon change. I made it all the way to Wendy’s with no issues (besides the terrible road planning of Newbury park stressing me out). I went into the drive-through and ordered a meal for Hunter. And If you’ve ever been to this Wendy’s, you know that it has by far the worst designed drive through I have ever experienced. It has small but very sharp turns that provide very little room for error, and no I am not making excuses for what’s to come. Before you go to the window to pay/pick up the food, you have to do a very small sharp right turn around a corner and boom you’re at the window. As I’m waiting to make this turn, I’m not very focused on what’s ahead of me, because during this time I was waiting for the driver ahead of me to finish while I was getting change from my change drawer because I’m an old person. Then, as the driver ahead of me leaves, I gently touch the gas pedal with the delicacy and care needed to perform surgery, and crash into the building. It wasn’t until two hours after the incident I delivered Hunter’s now cold Wendy’s meal.

MEMORY LANE

Some memories last a lifetime, and some of those are from High School.

SARAH RUSH

In sophomore year, I had Mr. Geisler and we were taking notes one day. The classroom next door started playing a movie way too loud. Mr. Geisler stopped our note taking and told us to be quiet while he took a video of the noise from the class next door and said in the video “You suck. You are the absolute worst,” and texted the video to the teacher playing the movie next door.

I left school early to pick up my new exhaust system, but I didn’t have any of the tools so I borrowed them from metal shop. I ended up putting in the exhaust system in the school parking lot. All of my car homies ended up pulling up so we had a car meet in the school parking lot. This is my best memory. My sophmore year, I was with a group of friends at lunch. It was the day before one of my friends was leaving and he had a bottle of ghost pepper sauce that day. I decided to put a dab of that hot sauce on my finger and eat it. And I felt like my insides were on fire. I felt like I was going to throw up all of my guts and I had to go home that day. Even better, the only drink I had to act as a refreshment was half a bottle of Gatorade. It sucked.

GISSEL ROMERO

It was my junior year of high school and I was walking out of class to go home and I saw a girl walking backwards talking to a teacher and I saw her getting closer and closer to the brick tree and I thought she was going to turn around but she didn’t and she ended up falling back into the bus with her leg straight up into the air and she was with a guy and the guy tried helping her butcouldn’t because he was laughing too hard and it was the most hilarious thing I’ve ever seen because she try to walk it off but she just looked really nervous but she was laughing it was really funny.
