Lasso Staff lasso@twu.edu Dentonites line the streets surrounding The Square to enjoy experiencing the annual Independence Day parade. Local Girl Scouts proudly marched alongside their “Leaders of Tomorrow� float. Families participating in the parade showed off their patriotic spirit covered in red, white and blue from head to toe. Multiple floats filled with children, flags and even canines traversed the parade route. Parade participants reveled in displaying the uniqueness that is Denton in their floats, clothing, bicycles and the plethora of red, white and blue balloons dancing in the summer sky.
