January 8, 2008 To Whom It May Concern: Please accept this letter as a formal summary and description of the biggest weekend of events for 2008. “The Family Fest” will be a three-day event that will be held in New Orleans, LA. August 1st-3rd 2008 at the New Orleans Arena & Super Dome. This event will consist of a youth festival, benefit concert, and a retired NFL player’s benefit game. ”The Family Fest” weekend of events will be in efforts to raise funding and awareness towards the rebuilding of New Orleans. Katrina has inspired blessings within a number of people in the strangest ways. The strong have taken Katrina as a challenge to come together and make a difference. The “Lionman Youth Extravaganza” will be held on Fri. Aug.1st and Sat. Aug.2nd from 10am-5pm. This youth extravaganza will feature space walks, live music, games, rides, prizes, live acts, youth football clinics & football experience activities. There will be activities for both children and adults. The ”Spirit Fest” benefit concert will be held on Fri. Aug. 1st and Sat. Aug. 2nd from 7pm12am. This benefit concert will feature some of the top music artist in the country from Mic Jagger to Kanye West. The “Spirit Fest” mission is to assist in the development of community organizations (church’s, schools, youth centers, etc.) The “Who Still Got It” benefit game will be held on Sun. Aug. 3rd from 1pm-4pm. “Who Still Got It” will give the world a chance to see what their favorite NFL player is doing today and to answer the number one question in sports “Who Still Got It”? This benefit game will provide funding for a medical fund for retired NFL players in need of medical assistance. “The Family Fest” would like to take this opportunity to invite you and your organization to partner with us in making the “The Family Fest” a success. “The Family Fest” has been very careful and selective in hand picking organizations to partner with such as: The Lionman Foundation, Built 2 Last – The Joe Johnson Foundation, Who Still Got It, New Orleans Hornets, NORD, Dillard University, and RB Sports & Entertainment.
