The LIONMAN Foundation (LMF) was established in 2000 to expand the ongoing work and achievement of the BLUE LION Karate Academy into the broader community and educational institutions. It is a unique community organization focusing on building ambassadors for education. LMF promotes positive youth development through mentorship programs, which provides participants with supportive adult role models and initiatives aimed at creating experiences that will enrich their lives and broaden the scope of their opportunities for the future.  LMF uses the Discipline First Program that builds upon basic principles of Karate and Martial Arts to help youth acquire the self-discipline and right attitudes that support achievement in school and in life. The program focuses on the following: Self awareness and confidence Goal setting Developing study skills Reinforcing basic math and reading skills Building camaraderie Developing techniques for dealing with bullying Learning the basics of Karate  An upcoming educational tool that has grown from LMF is The Legend of LIONMANS 7 Young American HEROES. The Martial Artist will be the Stars of a Reality Television Show that will inspire students around the world to stay focused on education. The 7 Young American HEROES will be featured as student role models that represent our diverse country.
LIONMAN Foundation Inc., (LMF) and BLUE LION Karate Academy (BLKA) was created by Grand Master Eric O’Neal, Sr., (GMO) a native of New Orleans and a 7 Time U.S.K.A. World Karate Champion and International & Master’s Hall of Famer. He has trained over 30,000 students in Martial Arts. GMO has partnered with Disney’s Martial Arts Festival and the Masters Hall of Fame to honor and showcase the phenomenal talent of The Legend of LIONMAN ~ 7 Young American HEROES at this year tournament.
The 22nd BLUE LION NATIONALS Title Belt Championships (BLNTBC), Martial Arts Celebration for children, offers an amazing day of positive competition. The highlights of the day include the introduction and autograph signing of our Celebrity guest. There will also be explosive demonstrations and performances as well as a thrilling awards ceremony. Disney’s Martial Arts Festival, June 24-26, 2011
Grand Master O’Neal Sr., and his teams are on a 20-city tour, traveling around the country on a search for the Legend of LIONMAN ~ 2011 7 Young American Heroes. Thousands of Martial Artists, between the ages of 10-17 will audition, but only seven Martial Artists from each city will be invited on June 24-26, 2011 to attend the Disney’s Martial Arts Festival for the final competition of the Legend of LIONMAN search for the 2011 7 Young American Heroes. One hundred and forty Martial Artists will compete but only seven will be chosen.
