Hinckley based estate agents Martin & Co have teamed up with Leicester charity Bamboozle Theatre Company to raise some cash to support children with learning disabilities. Steve Chadwick, Franchisee/Director at Martin & Co Hinckley said:
Bamboozle uses the power of theatre to transform the lives of children with learning disabilities, producing captivating multi-sensory experiences for profoundly disabled children and their whole families – and finding ways to engage those that can seem hardest to reach. Celebrating its 20th anniversary this year - Bamboozle’s aim is to offer children the opportunity to interact meaningfully with the world, and to confound expectations of what disabled children can achieve. Martin and Co want to help them make this happen. Bamboozle takes high quality, interactive and immersive performances into theatres and special schools in order to reach, engage and entertain all children – whatever their ability. They provide creative and innovative learning experiences for children with special needs and share their pioneering methodology with teachers and educators through training projects. In spring 2014 Bamboozle toured ‘Jack and the Flumflum Tree’ a stage adaptation of the book written by famous children’s author Julia Donaldson. It toured to four theatres and 25 schools performing to almost 2,500 young people. The charity have plans to tour two shows in 2015 – creating partnerships with new schools and theatres touring this wellloved show again while also visiting the same schools and theatres with a brand new production.
