When younger, it appears we spent much of our time sitting at small tables eating!
local Business set up By local girls! the local oracle is now into it’s 7th Year and we really don’t know where the time has gone! as you can see from the photos, we have known each other since we were really young - in fact, we are cousins and were born just two weeks apart (although in different years). Jane grew up in tonbridge, and was always involved in local activities. her family have been part of tonbridge lions club for many years and she became President of the leo club. after a few years in london working at KPmg as a human resources manager, Jane returned to tonbridge with her family and is now living in Kings hill. she has 3 children - 2 with severe disabilities but continues to get involved with local projects. she is currently on the West malling chamber of commerce committee and is working with the malling action Partnership in

helping to boost the local area. Jane also runs a ‘bolt on’ business saving residential and commercial customers money on all their utility costs. anna grew up near meopham and spent 18 years working in the office equipment industry in london. she later left the rat race to set up her own partyplan/retail business with a shop in ightham. she then started up cloud nine with suzanne which is now based in abbey arcade but stopped to concentrate on the local oracle and other ventures. she has been very active in the West malling Bni chapter and is now part of the new rotary club in Kings hill. living in West malling anna has a passion for soul music and also co-runs the soul survivors publication interviewing the likes of smokey robinson and mica Paris to name but a few.

so, as you can see we are both local girls and contrary to belief it is just the two of us running all aspects of the business. We use local printers and have a large number of willing distributors who help us each month get the oracle to your door! the idea for the local oracle was born when anna was manicuring Jane’s nails and initially only covered the new development at Kings hill. over the last few years we have evolved and have gone from strength to strength and currently have three editions covering 36,000 homes and businesses all within less than a 20 mile radius. We are always looking to improve and help other small local businesses get a foothold on the ladder, so please do let us know if we can help you either by promoting your businesses or by including more in the local oracle.
