Local chapter event activities include CPE presentations, service projects, local annual seminars, and more!

TSHP Annual Seminar programs are designed to maintain and enhance the knowledge, skills, and abilities of pharmacy professionals in healthsystems across Texas.

TSHP has five member sections: Pharmacy Management, New Practitioner, Technician, Student, and Industry. If you are a New Practitioner, Student, Technician, or Associate (Industry) member, you are automatically a member of the corresponding section. The section's volunteer leadership assists with planning education for section members in addition to providing feedback on development of new member benefits.

Serve with TSHP TSHP members have the opportunity to volunteer in a variety of areas and roles and gain leadership experience while networking with their colleagues throughout Texas. Advance your career by becoming a TSHP Board Officer or an ASHP Texas Delegate. If you'd like to be more involved with TSHP membership, become a member within TSHP Sections, Councils, Committees, and/or Task Forces.

Publications Newsletters TSHP keeps members current through the TSHP Bulletin and other newsletters, including TSHP Member Alerts, student newsletter, and the new practitioner newsletter.

The TJHP The TJHP is the official publication of the TSHP and includes manuscripts pertinent to the practice of healthsystem pharmacy, including original research, review articles, drug information monographs, best practices, and practice reflections. The TJHP is published digitally two times per year.

Opportunities

TSHP Education TSHP offers a wide variety of educational activities, ranging from essential and emerging hot topics to specialized clinical and management courses.

TSHP R&E Foundation Poster Competition The TSHP Research & Education Foundation Poster Session and Competition occurs each year at the TSHP Annual Seminar. The poster session is an opportunity for Seminar registrants to display original scholarly work in poster format. Posters can compete in one of seven categories. Click here to learn more! Career Center TSHP’s Career Center connects job seekers and employers with opportunities for career advancement.

Virtual Roundtable TSHP Virtual Roundtables are designed to address challenges being faced by health-system pharmacy professionals. As an exclusive benefit, Virtual Roundtables give TSHP members the opportunity to discuss timely issues with other pharmacy leaders in an intimate and informal setting from your home or pharmacy! Advocacy Training and Resources TSHP advocates for you and your patients in the legislative, payment and regulatory arenas. TSHP provides top-notch training through our Key Contacts Program that helps our members establish relationships with legislators. TSHP’s Key Contacts Program also encourages members to act as advocates for Texas pharmacy at the grassroots level. Through TSHP's Political Action Committee (PAC), members can support state candidates who champion pharmacists’ role as a patient care provider. Learn how you can get involved in TSHP’s advocacy’s efforts on behalf of the profession.
