American Studies combines a traditional American literature class and U.S. history survey into an interdisciplinary examination of the American experience. The course takes place during two class periods and is taught by two teachers, one from the history department and one from the English department. Joint assesments, including tests, projects, and exams, contribute to the interdisciplinary nature of the course.
