Who is it aimed at?

This short guide is aimed at galleries, libraries, archives and museums (GLAM), their workers and networks, and at other kinds of organizations and groups involved in public education and participation related to climate change and other sustainable development challenges.

It should be of use to all those organizations and sectors that are already recognized as having a part to play in Action for Climate Empowerment, namely those identified in the Work Programme for the Paris Agreement (also known as the Katowice Package), adopted at COP24 in Katowice, Poland in 2018.

These include : • national, regional and local governments • educational and cultural institutions • museums • the private sector • intergovernmental organizations • non-governmental organizations • international organizations • decision makers • scientists • the media • teachers • youth • women • and Indigenous peoples

This list is not exhaustive, but those that are specifically mentioned should take note that there is already a recognition that they can help achieve Action for Climate Empowerment, and that others (including governments, and the agencies that fund their work) should support and empower them to do so.
