the machan The Machan is built upon land that is recovering from slash and burn cultivation. It is a dedicated effort to restore the ecosystem. Once barren land, it is now home to over 20,000 healthy indigenous trees, with over 90% of them flowering and fruiting. Wildlife such as giant Malabar squirrels, rabbits, mongoose, porcupines, and grey langurs are a more common occurrence.
