We go beyond—so they will.

No dream is too big when it comes to your child. A lifelong eagerness to challenge the intellect. A spirit that’s never satisfied with “good enough.” The drive to move the world. Every day at Meadowbrook, we envision how all of our hard work, knowledge, innovation, and, yes, love will inspire and equip children to go beyond.

Learning looks different now than it did prepandemic, but the connections you see here remain the same.

“Meadowbrook continually brings out the best in my son, whether he’s working with his teachers at school or online. They know what will keep him excited about learning, and they inspire him to do more than simply what comes easily.” – CURRENT PARENT

Our talented teachers engage students in an advanced curriculum from the very beginning, no matter how instruction is delivered.

At Meadowbrook, rigorous academics go beyond grade level to take children as far as they can go, whether that’s gaining ease in another language, conducting original research, or taking geometry in eighth grade.

Our unmatched mathematics program is an outstanding example of the technical, analytical, and investigative skills we foster in all subjects.

We believe middle school is essential.

The Middle School at Meadowbrook is a three-year experience specifically designed to foster leadership and growth in mind, body, perspective, and responsibility during these crucial years. It includes a rigorous curriculum enriched with varied electives, independent study, outdoor adventure, peer mentoring opportunities, and exploration of self-identity, racial equity, and global issues.

A firm grounding in mathematical concepts and problem solving gives students a powerful edge as they prepare to thrive in a world driven by technology. Through independent study, some accelerated math students have begun Pre-Calculus at Meadowbrook.

Here, the arts encompass more than ceramics, woodworking, theater, and instrumental ensembles.

They include a full range of creative endeavors to nurture reflection, perseverance, and confidence. Students build spectacular stage sets, perform their own musical compositions, produce school news videos, and garner top state honors in photography, sculpture, and film.

From recess to P.E. to varsity athletics, physical fitness and movement are part of every day at Meadowbrook.

Active students are happy, productive students. Recess time is built into the daily schedule for every grade, and all students Jr-K through 8 have P.E at least four times per week. All middle school students participate in Meadowbrook sports each season, including interscholastic teams.

At Meadowbrook, we don’t just teach. We think about how we’re teaching, and who we’re teaching, and how we can improve.

Meadowbrook teachers seek the best content and approaches— and continually test them against outcomes-based standards. They share their knowledge nationally and internationally. As just one example, the Multicultural Teaching Institute founded and directed by our faculty draws attendees from all over the nation each summer. Most recently, all faculty members have been trained in agile course design so they can flex effectively to distance learning when needed. All we do must prove it supports our goal and yours: the brightest future for your child.

We refine the best practices for the best results.

“Last spring was a real glimpse into how much thought Meadowbrook puts into everything it does. I’m so grateful for all my middle schooler got to experience and how positive the classroom environment was even when everything had to be done remotely.” – CURRENT PARENT

“Hope your kids are off to a solid start this morning! Henry was excited to start today.”

Our students are immersed in science, technology, engineering, arts, mathematics— and more.

At Meadowbrook, innovation goes beyond robotics and 3D printers, engineering and programming activities that begin in junior kindergarten, or even the latest curricular approach. It’s a deliberate mindset of always seeking a better way. Engaged learning goes further than hands-on projects. It’s curiosity, informal conversations with favorite teachers, and starting the school day early to work on a design just because. Adaptability and creative solutions go further than class simulations. From developing science experiments using only what is available at home to creating community connections when we are not able to gather in person, our students and teachers have developed innovative approaches to challenges none of us have ever faced before.

OUR RESPONSE As the nation continues to face the COVID-19 pandemic, Meadowbrook is meeting the challenge head on. All we do supports our goal and yours: the brightest future for your child.

Here, every child is known, loved, and challenged. Not most of them. All of them.

Our preference is to be on campus, and we have developed flexible, detailed plans for grouping students and teachers into cohorts that will remain together to minimize health risks.

The Meadowbrook School admits students of any race, religion, color, national and ethnic origin to all the rights, privileges, programs and activities generally accorded or made available to students at the school. It does not discriminate on the basis of race, color, religion, sex, gender identity, sexual orientation, or national or ethnic origin in administration of its educational policies, admissions policies, scholarship and loan programs, and athletic and other school-administered programs.

When at a distance, we will follow a schedule that prioritizes academic time and community time, with movement and screen breaks, similar to our time on campus. Meadowbrook@Home allows students who choose to remain at home to join on-campus classes remotely, with the personalized support of a dedicated faculty guide.

To know children is more than offering small classes and individual attention. It’s listening, sharing, and observing on the playground and on the field, in the library and in the lab. It’s helping children see who they are and realize their full potential.

To love children is more than caring about them. It’s inspiring them to discover and achieve what they care most deeply about. It’s focusing on diversity, equity, and true understanding.

To challenge children is more than providing advanced curricula and performancebased grouping for all students. It’s fostering the courage to see a different viewpoint and take on difficult topics with grace and empathy. It’s instilling a lifetime drive to effect change.
