Attendee Guide Navigate the virtual meeting through an all new, digital platform
Welcome to the TEA SATE Global Series: REINVENTION 2021! Our new virtual realm may feel a bit unfamiliar at first, so follow along with these easy steps and be ready to hit the ground running for unique online networking opportunity. *Google Chrome is required to access full platform functionality.
First Step: Build Your Online Profile By now you should have received your personalized access link to InEvent, the digital platform for the TEA SATE Global Series. If you haven’t, please check your junk or spam file before contacting memberservices@teaconnect.org.
Upon your first login, follow these steps to set up your digital event profile: 1. Click on My Account, the third tab across the top of the page. Upload your picture and fill out your personal information. You’ll want this for the live interactive networking portions of the meeting, so don’t be shy! 2. Move one tab to the right: My App. Download the appropriate app for your operating system. When prompted, enter the specific code for TEA SATE Global Series: 5622. The app is a great addition to the web-based platform for event schedule details, a general event chat feed, and announcements. Take a moment and get your feet wet: use the general chat feed to say ‘Hi!’ and introduce yourself! The Virtual Lobby (fifth from the left tab) This is where you’ll want to spend most of your free time during the meeting for access to content and announcements. From this page you can click on the content as it opens or on as on demand replays. Click on the room covers at the scheduled time to enter a hosted space where you can join in the fun! Ignite Your Spark: Viewing Member Meeting Content TEA SATE Global Series is released in pre-recorded messages. You’ll find these listed in the virtual lobby at set times. Each virtual room follows the same layout: the main viewing takes place center screen. To the right you’ll find the chat, downloadable files and a list of other people viewing the content with you. Be sure to visit the Guestbook to support our vital annual sponsors and write your own message of hope for encouraging your fellow TEA members.
Networking like it’s 2021! In addition to the scheduled networking each week, there are three other ways to meet face to face with other attendees. Catch up with old friends and meet new – networking in the virtual lobby is almost as good as in person! From the Virtual Lobby you’ll notice two tabs at the bottom of the page, Group Rooms and Networking. In the Group Rooms area, you'll see button graphics of people's pictures already engaged in on camera chats. Click a group room to join the conversation on screen. All active attendees are listed in the Networking area by name: to connect with someone, click on their name and send an automatic invitation to meet face-to-face. Once they accept your invitation you’ll automatically connect. Please note – if they don’t appear within the first 30 seconds, it’s probable they’re busy doing other things, so leave that chat and try again at a later time. Private or Public? When networking, you have the option to enter into a private two-way conversation or leave yourself public to be found and joined by others. This option will be provided after you click on a fellow attendee’s name. You can now additionally access Networking functions from the header.
