This issue is a celebration of all those melanin rich girls who have been told, “No one will ever love you because you’re dark”, “You can’t be the lead in the play, because you look like the villain. We need someone who’s fair and looks like the good girl” to “You are so pretty for a dark skinned girl.”
Let’s love the skin we are born with. Let’s not let society define our self worth on the basis of the colour of our skin. White, brown, black, yellow or rainbow, you’re beautiful just the way you are!
