Ayon and Shilpita were not looking to buy a home. That is, until their close friend, Sen, first shared the idea of buying a home instead of continuing to rent an apartment. Ayon and Shilpita often discussed needing more space for their young daughter, but they had not considered homeownership an option. Yet when they ran the numbers, they realized . . . why rent when you can own for the same amount or less? With interest rates at historic lows, they decided to take the plunge into homeownership and began the search for their new home. In July 2020, Ayon and Shilpita's friend introduced them to his former agents, Rebecca and Rob, to discuss their home buying goals.
