THE MESSAGE

I didn’t always believe I was lovable. It took many years of acceptance to finally realize that I am lovable just the way I am. I only learned this after being loved by someone else, but I wish I had learned this on my own. There are still many women out there who, after many failed relationships have given up on love or blamed themselves. They lost hope. But we are all lovable exactly the way we are, with all our flaws, especially because of our flaws! Your flaws are what make us unique.

When we feel unlovable or too needy for love, we might attract the wrong people or even settle for the wrong relationships because we don’t think we can find someone better. If you feel you need to change things about yourself for someone to like or love you, that should be a warning.

JOURNAL PROMPTS

When have you felt unlovable? What makes you feel loved? Which parts of you can you accept, love, and appreciate?
