New York’s R & Company gallery dedicated an exhibition to the work of Katie Stout this past April. Stout’s unique vision and iconic artistic vocabulary was represented by varying types of works made from diverse materials including ceramics, bronze, and textiles to name a few. She is inspired by a wide range of sources, spanning design and art to to fashion and interior decoration, Victorian lace to common ceramics. Katie effortlessly makes her way through multiple areas, both past and present, creating an elaborate, personal language that expresses rare, unique eclecticism.
