Dear Graduates

Dear graduates,

May is a time of change, and in Mud, we want to honor the uncertainty that lies in the future ahead.

As graduation happens inevitably, we're overcome with fear, anxiety, or even indifference of the next step. It's human, it's normal, and it's real. Yet, I've always believed that the beauty of the future is not knowing what will happen, and being okay with that.

In this issue, our writers captured the feelings that arise from an important ending, and capitalize on the prospect of a new beginning. I urge you to do the same.

Hanna Wise, our feature for this month's Beyond the Player (an authentic, beautiful, and raw piece written by Emily DeGennaro), says on her piece:

I'm not just a body floating through life, I have a mission."

I couldn't agree more.

Be excited about this future because you have a purpose for yourself, for others, and for the greater of this world.

Hear me loud and clear: you are the future, and the future looks good.
