Vegreville 4-H Beef Club Public Speaking Recap

The Vegreville 4-H Beef Club held its club public speaking and presentation competition on February 6. The event was held upstairs in the Mundare Recreation Centre.

Members are very grateful to the Mundare Curling Club that donated the space for our club to use. We would also like to recognize and show our appreciation to our wonderful judges: Kate Sanford Mitchell, Kelsey Kisilevich, Kenda Wasylciw, Denton Tatarin, Donna Williams, Lundyn Wyllie, Jamieson Brown, Tracy Semeniuk, Carman Ogrodnick. Also, a shout out to our Mistress of Ceremonies Litania Holyk.

Members of the Vegreville 4-H Beef Club held their public speaking competition on Feb. 6 at the Mundare Curling Club.

Each Member either had to do a speech with an impromptu or a presentation. We had a total of eight speeches and six presentations. Even our cleaver members partook in the event. Everyone did an amazing job!!! Our winners are as follows: Presentations: Junior 1st Brittany Holt, 2nd Brady Weleschuk, Intermediate 1st Riley Warawa, Senior 1st Hannah Albrecht, Krystin Ogrodnick, and Katelyn Yaremie

Speeches: Junior 1st Anna Homeniuk, 2Nd Keaten Muntz, and Senior 1st Gabrielle Cheremshynski.

Winners from each age category (Junior, Intermediate , and Senior) will move onto the District level competition to be held on Saturday, February 29, 2020 in Innisfree.
