Emergency Crews Respond to Tractor Trailer Fire

On July 11 at approximately 5:10 pm, the Vegreville Fire Department responded to a report of a vehicle fire located on Highway 16 at the intersection of Highway 857.

Vegreville Fire Chief Chris Jardine explained that, “A semi-trailer, loaded with food and other groceries, had a fire located around the rear axles of the trailer. Fire personnel extinguished the fire and provided scene control.

The fire damaged the contents as well as heavily damaged the rear of the trailer. There were no reported injuries. Fire crews returned to station at approximately 7:20 pm.”
