Parent Link Centre Reopens… with Windows!
Rosanne Fortier News Correspondent
The Vegreville and Area Parent Link Centre (PLC) is a place for families to experience positive parenting and children to have many valuable and happy childhood experiences as it is a one-stop resource for parents with children from birth to six years old. PLC has parent/child programs, information about community programs and resources, parenting workshops, indoor play spaces, and developmental screening, as well as, a chance for parents and children to get together and have fun.
This centre grew even further in making an impact and providing memorable experiences when they did renovations to their centre which including adding windows so the bright sunshine comes in and people can see outside of the centre. The renovations also included new paints, staff office renovations, and more.
To showcase their new renovations, PLC presented a re-opening drop-in, “Newly Renovated,” themed morning on July 10 where the children made sun catchers and flower pots to place on and by the new windows. Since this was a normal drop-in program, PLC provided snacks, popcorn, and vegetables. At the end, Community Programmer for PLC, Litania Holyk read the children a story.
