“Another successful Passport to Christmas season is behind us. We had 32 businesses participate this year. It is with the participation of these businesses that we as a community are able to keep our spending dollars local,” stated Michelle Henderson, General Manager of the Vegreville & District Chamber of Commerce.

“This year there were 1972 passports returned. This means that during the seven weeks of the program $591,600 were kept in our community,” pointed out Henderson.

Teresa Bilyk received various gifts and gift cards from participating businesses.

Recipients of the Passport to Christmas were: Teresa Bilyk, who received various gifts and gift cards from participating businesses, Connie Bay, who received a pysanka coin, and the Vegreville Community Daycare which received $200 in Chamber bucks.
