Vegreville United Church held a St. Patrick’s Day Stew Supper on March 17.

Coordinator Holly Cependa said, “We chose St. Patrick’s Day as a theme because it’s such a fun way to recognize the ‘wee bit o’ Irish’ in us all.

The crew of volunteers was absolutely amazing! They were a pleasure to work with.

We had approximately 35takeout orders and about 35 or more people who chose to dine in. We raised a little more than $900 and since everything was donated so that is pure profit. All the proceeds will go into the general funds for the United Church. This helps to fund things like our programs and keep the building maintained.”

Colleen Pomeroy said she really enjoyed the stew. “It was really good because the beef in the stew was really tender and pleasant tasting.”
