Homestead Lodge Residents Making Ear Savers for Frontline Workers

Cxene Brooks Homestead Lodge Activity Co-ordinator

This past week, residents from The Homestead Lodge started a big project, intended to help front line workers during this pandemic.

They’ve collected yarn and buttons and have crocheted ear savers, which are meant to protect the skin on the backs of ears from the elastics on the masks. They have already outfitted our staff here at the Lodge and are making much more for the hospital, EMTs, paramedics, and anyone else who would need one.

Homestead Lodge has been on lockdown since March 15th, but the residents are taking it all in stride, and are happy to assist in any way they can. Astheir Activity Coordinator, I am super proud of their desire to help, as well as the energy they’ve been putting into this project. We have themost amazing Residents here!
