The Vegreville News Advertiser is pleased to welcome Michelle Pinon to our team. Michelle will be working as our lead reporter to bring news, events and special features from across our coverage area to our readers in more than 11,000 homes and businesses.

Here are a few words from Michelle on herself and joining the News Advertiser.

I am very pleased to be joining the staff of the award winning News Advertiser in the capacity of multimedia journalist.

I come from humble rural roots, having grown up on a mixed grain farm in the Camrose area. I decided to embark on my post secondary education in journalism, and received my diploma from Mount Royal College in 1985.

I have worked at several community newspapers throughout my career, and have always enjoyed meeting new people, travelling to new places, and covering a variety of events. I look forward to meeting many new faces in the days, weeks and months ahead.
