‘Daddy and Me’ Superhero- Themed Program

Fathers and their children really can conquer the world when they spend time bonding together at the Vegreville and Area Parent Link Centre’s Daddy and Me program. Grandfathers and uncles are also welcomed to attend this free program as studies have indicated that it is essential for children to have a male figure in their life.

The theme for the September 28’s program was Super Heroes and it featured an opportunity for kids to dress-up in the superheroes’ costumes that were provided, as well as, a chance for children to decorate their own superheroes’ cape. There were also superheroes’ puzzles and kits were available where children could make their own puppets. At the end, a hearty breakfast of sausages and pancakes was provided.

Near the end of the event, children read stories about fathers.

This was followed by the Pancake and Play program which the whole family was invited to attend.
