Back to School in Mundare

Michelle Pinon News Advertiser

It was back to school for Grade 5 and 6 students at Mundare School on September 1.

The first school bus rolled into the parking lot at 9:04 am and Principal Bill Korec was on hand to greet the students. It will be a staggered reentry this week, with all students in classes on Friday, Sept. 4.

Korec was just as excited as the students and was happy to see them for the first time since March.

Even though there have been several changes that have been put in place because of COVID-19 they are prepared with stickers, labels, posters, sanitizing stations, etc. “Now it is just a matter of getting into the routine.”

Mundare School offers Kindergarten to Grade 8 classes with approximately 150 students and 15 staff. Korec is looking forward to the school year ahead and wants to give students and parents peace of mind in the knowledge they are fully equipped with all of the necessary guidance, information, tools, and supplies.
