BOTANICAL GARDEN The Botanical Garden with its outdoor amphitheater is the perfect setting for small receptions, cultural festival events, and outdoor concerts. The Garden is dramatically enhanced by the original artwork, Vanishing View, by New York Public Artist Alison Sky, who states that her work is “inspiration drawn from nature and the theatre of life; combining sculpture, language and context to create site-specific narratives.” Sky’s work is an exquisite water feature consisting of seven glass panels linked together in an origami-like fashion to depict a silhouette of an environmental scene. The design evolves through a tableau of sunrises and sunsets enhanced by lighting located at the base, enabling a beautifully staged sunset to continue well after dark. It is a destination in its own right!
